This research presents procedures for determining the optimal solution of token exchanges platform for investors in Taiwan via integrating the best-worst method (BWM) and the technique for ordering preference by similarity to the ideal solution (TOPSIS). Firstly, this research applies the modified Delphi method to develop the perspectives and factors via literature review and experts opinion. Secondly, the BWM is implemented to obtain weights of perspectives and factors on the linear programming concept. Thirdly, the TOPSIS model is used to rank the optimal solution of the token exchange for investors or corporations. Finally, the proposed model BWMTOPSIS-based procedures will list the optimal token exchanges platform on the three token exchange platforms to investors or corporations in Taiwan on the basis of their rankings in the architecture. The proposed combination framework is able to provide academic and commerce support to investors or corporations in implementing the token into their portfolio as a valuable objective guide to determine the optimal token exchange platform.

The rapid spread of the COVID-19 virus around the world poses a real threat to public safety. Some COVID-19 symptoms are similar to other viral chest diseases, which makes it challenging to develop models for effective detection of COVID-19 infection. This article advocates a model to differentiate between COVID-19 and other four viral chest diseases under uncertainty environment using the viruses primary symptoms and CT scans. The proposed model is based on a plithogenic set, which provides higher accurate evaluation results in an uncertain environment. The proposed model employs the best-worst method (BWM) and the technique in order of preference by similarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS). Besides, this study discusses how smart Internet of Things technology can assist medical staff in monitoring the spread of COVID-19. Experimental evaluation of the proposed model was conducted on five different chest diseases. Evaluation results demonstrate that the proposed model effectiveness in detecting the COVID-19 in all five cases achieving detection accuracy of up to 98%.

Celebrity endorsement is a critical and positive commercial promotional tool. With the increasing number of international sports celebrities, many sporting and non-sporting goods companies use such celebrities to promote their products. This study develops a model for selecting sports celebrity endorsers. A Chinese sporting brand company is the target of this study. The proposed model adopts the modified Delphi method to identify suitable criteria and applies the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the criteria's relative weights. The selected company exemplifies how the model can guide the selection of sports celebrity endorsers. The model ranks the importance to the target company of five criteria: trustworthiness, match-up, attractiveness, risk and expertise. The proposed model allows the company to select sports celebrity endorsers effectively, and contributes to academia and commerce.

Renewable energies are well-known as one of the most important energy resources not only due to limited other energy resources, but also due to environmental problems associated with air pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions. Renewable energy project selection is a multi actors and sophisticated problem because it is a need to incorporate social, economic, technological, and environmental considerations. Multi criteria decision making (MCDM) methods are powerful tools to evaluate and rank the alternatives among a pool of alternatives and select the best one. COPRAS (COmplex PRoportional ASsessment) is an MCDM technique which determines the best alternative by calculating the ratio to the ideal solution and the negative ideal solution. On the other hand, analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is widely used in order to calculate the importance weights of evaluation criteria. In this paper an integrated COPRAS-AHP methodology is proposed to select the best renewable energy project. In order to validate the output of the proposed model, the model is compared with five MCDM tools. The results of this paper demonstrate the capability and effectiveness of the proposed model in selecting the most appropriate renewable energy option among the existing alternatives.

When decision-makers’ judgments are uncertain, they often express their opinions using grey linguistic variables. Once used, the data often retains its grey nature throughout all subsequent decision-making iterations. Multicriteria decision-making (MCDM) is a tool used when making complicated decisions and in circumstances where several criteria require evaluation to choose the most desirable option. Grey data serves as the basis for several MCDM methods. This paper compares two MCDM methods, Grey-Linear-Programming (GLP) and Grey-Best-Worst-Method (GBWM), in terms of the weights of decision criteria and their rankings. Moreover, Grey-The Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (GTOPSIS) was used to rank the weights of the two methods. Study findings demonstrated that GBWM requires more mathematical calculations than GLP, based on linear programming's classic simplex method. On the other hand, when GTOPSIS follows GLP, the alternative rank does not change compared to when GTOPSIS followed GBWM. For the applications used in this comparison, GLP procedure is considered simpler than GBWM procedure.

The script of a drama is key to achieving an outstanding performance. This study develops a new model for selecting the scripts of Taiwanese dramas based on the production manager's perceptions. First, the proposed model adopts the modified delphi method to determine suitable evaluative criteria for the scripts of contemporary Taiwanese dramas. Next, the model applies the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the relative weights of evaluative criteria, thereafter rating the alternatives and selecting the best script. Additionally, a Taiwanese company is used how the scripts of Taiwanese dramas can be selected using this model. The results indicate that important criteria, in order of important, are characteristics of the story, the subject matter of the script, the meaning of the words, and the scriptwriter. The proposed model helps companies to effectively select the scripts of Taiwanese dramas, making it highly applicable for academia and commerce.

A fuzzy multi-objective decision-making with nonlinear membership functions is proposed in this paper by assuming that the decision maker has a fuzzy goal for each objective function. The fuzzy goals can be quantified by convex polyhedral membership functions, which are expressed by linguistic terms. The concept of the convex cone is used to formulate a normalized convex polyhedral penalty function, which can also be considered conversely as a convex polyhedral membership function. The most desirable value of membership functions are selected to be reference membership values of achievement of convex polyhedral membership functions that can be viewed as the extension of the idea of reference point method. The formulated model can be solved by existing linear programming solvers and can find the satisficing solution for the decision maker, which can be derived efficiently from among an M-Pareto optimal solution set together with the trade-off rates between the membership functions. The proposed model uses convex polyhedral membership functions to represent vague aspirations of the decision maker. It enriches the existing satisficing methods for fuzzy multi-objective linear programming in a more practical way with the effective method based on convex cone.

This study develops a model for selecting a host for a travel show. First, the proposed model adopts the “Modified Delphi Method” to find out suitable criteria to evaluative hosts of travel shows. Next, the research model applies the “Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)” to determine the relative weights of the evaluative criteria, and then ranks the alternatives and selects the optimum host for a travel show. Additionally, a well-known Taiwanese TV station is taken as an example, to demonstrate how a new host of a travel show is selected by applying this model. The results indicate that managers of commercial TV stations rank criteria in the following order of importance: “Image”, “Viewpoint from production”, “Professional skills”, and “Personal conditions”. Eventually, using the sensitivity analysis to test criteria when assessing factors of weight changes and how about the other assessment factors.

This study develops a model for selecting Korean dramas based on TV station manager’s perceptions. First, the proposed model adopts the modified Delphi method to find out the suitable evaluative criteria of Korean dramas. Next, the model apply the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the relative weights of evaluative criteria, then ranks the alternatives and selects the best Korean dramas. Additionally, a famous Taiwanese commercial TV station is used here in as an example of how a Korean dramas can be selected using this model. The results indicated that concerns think highly of criteria in order are drama content perspective, cast perspective, advertising budget perspective, foreign data of origin perspective. The proposed model helps commercial TV to effectively select Korean dramas, making it highly applicable for academia and commerce.

This paper deals with a fully fuzzy linear programming problem (FFLP) in which the coefficients of decision variables, the right-hand coefficients and variables are characterized by fuzzy numbers. A method of obtaining optimal fuzzy solutions is proposed by controlling the left and right sides of the fuzzy variables according to the fuzzy parameters. By using fuzzy controlled solutions, we avoid unexpected answers. Finally, two numerical examples are solved to demonstrate how the proposed model can provide a better optimal solution than that of other methods using several ranking functions.
