Purpose: The integrated management system concept has  been installed recently in Algerian companies. A theoretical model is proposed which is based on a functional analysis of the systemic approach. This model is a cycle of seven requirements (organization context, leadership, planning, support, implementation of operational activities, performance evaluation and improvement), in addition to the inputs and outputs. The purpose of this article is to investigate the current status of integrated management system and test its performance in Algerian CompaniesDesign/methodology/approach: In order to achieve this objective, a survey based on 250 companies, only 115 of them responded to the survey where half of them are implementing IMS. A descriptive and an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) are provided. Additionally, the confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) the correlation and the regression analyzeFindings: From the results, the research reflects the status of IMS in Algeria. The findings suggest that the Algerian company have difficult to implementing the IMS.  Research limitations/implications: One of the major limitations of this study is the small simple size, which precludes generalization of the findings. This study provides a starting point for further research in developing countries.Originality/value: This paper offers  first key insights into IMS implementation in Algeria. This will encourage these organizations and developed countries in adopt IMS.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is the further development of an Excel-based integrated management system for the tool and cutlery industry regarding sustainability. The tool’s actual status allows integrating and implementing requirements considering work safety, environmental and quality management and a self-assessment for checking the level of requirements’ fulfilment. However, the topic of sustainability and requirements and risks going along with it are of great importance for the mostly small and medium companies of this industry. Therefore, the Excel-tool is being enhanced by integrating the requirements of risk, energy and sustainability management. The paper presents the advanced Excel-tool. Design/methodology/approach – The base for advancing the Excel-tool has been analysing the status quo of sustainability management in the companies. Moreover, a matrix for comparing the requirements has been enlarged regarding the standards for sustainability, risk and energy management and builds the base for further developing of the Excel-tool. Findings – This analysis has shown the need for action, regarding the topic of sustainability. Hence, the Excel-tool has been enlarged regarding the assessment of fulfilling the requirements of different management systems. It allows small- and medium-sized enterprises a detection of need for action to comply with the requirements of different management systems with minimal afford. By this, an easily evaluation and improvement of the companies’ management systems is enabled. Originality/value – The tool enables companies to easily evaluate the state of their integrated management system by themselves and assists when implementing additional management systems.

The concept of risk has always been implicitly incorporated into the structure of ISO 9001, but the publication of the latest version of standard ISO 9001:2015 set the risk management in the spotlight. On the other hand standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 have always had explicit requirements regarding the risk assessment of certain elements of the company business. That implies that the existence of integrated management system should improve and develop risk management system of the company. This hypothesis was a starting point for this paper, which should give a direct answer what is the correlation between integrated management system and risk management system in the company. Based on theoretical considerations and practical experience, the authors provided an overview of quality management dimensions and risk management dimensions and their interrelations. This paper provides the results of a survey conducted in 50 ISO certified companies in region, which were analyzed and corresponding conclusions were made.

The implementation of an EnMS establishes the structure and discipline of identifying energy flows, implementing management actions and, finally, applying technical solutions, which significantly reduce energy costs, reduce non-productive time in production, and reduce emissions. of Greenhouse Gases in the environment. The steps to be highlighted in the realization of energy management are analyzed.

Background: Depression is a state of psychological disease that occurs to someone divers in age due to certain reasons. Among the factors include lack of self-confidence, problematic family, stress, low self-esteem and social environment. It could lead to a mental disorder that endangers the mental health. Aim: To investigate the status of children depression using the Children Depression Inventory (CDI) at 21 shelter care institutions in Terengganu Malaysia. Methodology: Quantitative research design was used. The sample consists of 404 respondents from 21 Islamic shelter cares such as Tahfiz, Madrasah and Orphanage in Terengganu Malaysia from the age of 10 to 18 years. Data was analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Discriminant Analysis (DA) which then computed to identify the most dominant factors whereas reducing the initial five parameters with recommended >0.50 of factor loading. Results: Forward stepwise of DA shows the total of groups validation percentage by 92.08% (17 independent). The result showed that the highest frequency of respondent index was at a moderate level (62.87% respondents). This showed that children still can be controlled and cared to reduce depression. The relevance of creating integrated management systems for enterprises in a digital transformation environment is proved. New approaches to improving the management system in accordance with the new European excellence model (EFQM 2020) and international standards for achieving sustainable success and risk management are described. Approach to the development of integrated management system model based on the new EFQM 2020 model and international standards such as ISO 9004:2018 and ISO 31000:2018 is offered.

PurposeThis paper presents, through the analysis of a case study, a model based on a systemic approach that proved successful for the design and implementation of an integrated management system (IMS) in an airline, and provides guidelines and practical recommendations that may be of use to other sectors of activity when designing and implementing an IMS.Design/methodology/approachData for this paper were collected through direct analysis and implication in the process of implementation of the IMS. Also a literature review was conducted.FindingsTangible and intangible benefits were identified as derived from operating one IMS, such as cost savings, better use of resources, improved internal communication, stronger customer orientation and employee motivation. For these benefits to be realised it is essential to take into account several critical factors and be aware of the challenges accompanying integration of management systems, as detailed in the paper.Practical implicationsThis paper provides guidelines and recommendations for organisations seeking to implement and integrate several standards, being general or sectoral, particularly if they operate in highly complex industry sectors.Originality/valueThis paper incorporates the integration of sectoral standards, which the literature has not covered very widely. The research has wider value through transferable applications and experiences for other industry sectors.
