Asian countries have abundant resources of natural fibers, but unfortunately, they have not been optimally utilized. The facts showed that from 2014 to 2020, there was a shortfall in meeting national demand of over USD 2.75 million per year. Therefore, in order to develop the utilization and improve the economic potential as well as the sustainability of natural fibers, a comprehensive review is required. The study aimed to demonstrate the availability, technological processing, and socio-economical aspects of natural fibers. Although many studies have been conducted on this material, it is necessary to revisit their potential from those perspectives to maximize their use. The renewability and biodegradability of natural fiber are part of the fascinating properties that lead to their prospective use in automotive, aerospace industries, structural and building constructions, bio packaging, textiles, biomedical applications, and military vehicles. To increase the range of applications, relevant technologies in conjunction with social approaches are very important. Hence, in the future, the utilization can be expanded in many fields by considering the basic characteristics and appropriate technologies of the natural fibers. Selecting the most prospective natural fiber for creating national products can be assisted by providing an integrated management system from a digitalized information on potential and related technological approaches. To make it happens, collaborations between stakeholders from the national R&D agency, the government as policy maker, and academic institutions to develop national bioproducts based on domestic innovation in order to move the circular economy forward are essential.

This academic work will demonstrate a project applied within a company of Steel, Tubes and Connections in the industrial pole of Manaus. The objective of this project is the unification, through an integrated communication system, of all sectors of the company. So that you no longer need to use other means of communication to connect the company and make it quick, automatic, and easy, in addition to being able to make decisions based on information in real time. For this purpose, process mapping was used, the improvement agent for the application of the study, these mappings were made using software called Bizagi.

Abstract The article focuses on the study and development of integrated management system for logistical processes, taking into account the specifics of the activities of agro-industrial enterprises. The targets for research conducted in the article include the enterprises of the fishery industry, which is an integral part of the agro-industrial sector. The article considers the urgency of logistics development, the main problems of logistics systems of modern enterprises, and ways of effective management of logistical processes of sectoral organizations. It is stated that quality expense management of logistical processes can be the key to improving the efficiency of logistics in general. A mechanism for managing logistic costs is proposed, which is focused on performing certain stages in the process of setting up and implementing a system for managing the expenditure side in the company’s activities. It is assumed that the use of tools for managing logistics costs can significantly increase the efficiency of agricultural enterprises in the long term.

Morbidity and mortality due to noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) are growing exponentially across Tanzania. The limited availability of dedicated services and the disparity between rural and urban areas represent key factors for the increased burden of NCDs in the country. From March 2019, an integrated management system was started in the Iringa District Council. The system implements an integrated management of hypertension and diabetes between the hospital and the peripheral health centers and introduces the use of paper-based treatment cards. The aim of the study was to present the results of the first 6 months’ roll-out of the system, which included 542 patients. Data showed that 46.1% of patients returned for the reassessment visit (±1 month), more than 98.4% of patients had blood pressure measured and were checked for complication, more than 88.6% of patients had blood sugar tested during follow-up visit, and blood pressure was at target in 42.8% of patients with hypertension and blood sugar in 37.3% of diabetic patients. Most patients who were lost to follow-up or did not reach the targets were those without medical insurance or living in remote peripheries. Our findings suggest that integrated management systems connecting primary health facilities and referral hospitals may be useful in care and follow-up of patients with hypertension and diabetes.

Abstract This study applies the Korean framework of wetland management effectiveness evaluation for national wetland protected areas to obtain key insights into developing national wetland management policy. The quantitative evaluation framework was based on the basic evaluation framework of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, reflecting the characteristics of South Korea's wetland management policy. The framework comprises a total of 29 evaluation and 21 detailed items. Through the first quantitative evaluation of the entire target sites, a statistical analysis of the evaluation results was performed in line with management characteristics. The second and third qualitative evaluations, conducted by external research teams, were conducted after selecting a pilot target site for each group. After evaluation, the sites were divided into three groups: Group B showed the highest average values in all sectors of design, appropriateness, and delivery. The management effects in the pilot sites were, 43.9% in Yongneup of Mt. Daeam, 37.4% in Damyang riverine wetlands, and 58.9% in Upo wetlands, compared to the ideal management level. As a result, four important suggestions are derived. First, management effectiveness evaluation should consider national environmental and management policy characteristics based on an international framework. Second, an integrated management system should be established. Third, stakeholders should participate in building governance. Fourth, the participation of external experts is essential.

Integrated Management System (IMS) based audit can assist the internal and external auditor to conduct an audit effectively and efficiently while checking compliance of Food Safety Management System and Halal Assurance System in the food industry. Corned beef is a product categorized as critical both in terms of halal and food safety. Implementing a food safety management system and halal assurance in corned beef industries is a challenge for producers and external auditors from inspection agencies. Based on the requirements equality approach, an Integrated Management System can be developed, referring to ISO 22000 : 2018 and HAS 23000. This research aims to combine the requirements of ISO 22000 : 2018 and HAS 23000 to be used for audit activity, as well as formulating recommendations for the corned beef producers in both requirements based on a new version of ISO 22000 : 2018. According to the analysis of requirements equality on each requirement objective, there are 14 of 30 sub-clauses of ISO 22000 : 2018 that can be integrated with 9 HAS criteria. There are 2 HAS criteria that cannot be integrated with sub clauses of ISO 22000 : 2018, namely criteria number 4 material and 5 product. When the IMS clauses are used in audit to one of corned beef company, the percentage of compliance with the IMS requirements is 90.6% in PT XYZ. The nonconformities related to ISO 22000 : 2018 found on a new clause that has not existed in the previous version ISO 22000: 2005. This gap creates some recommendations for PT XYZ. However, IMS based audit makes the audit for halal and food safety compliance be more effective that can combine checking of food safety and halal in one audit. Furthermore, IMS based audit makes the audit be more time efficient, by reducing the mandays.
