The effective use of an interactive whiteboard (IWB) in teacher-education institutions depends strongly on student teachers’ intention of using it. Despite the recent surge in published research on the widespread applications for IWB in teaching and learning, few have developed a model to elucidate the elements which contribute to student teachers’ intention to use IWB. The aim of this study was to develop a model which demonstrates the variables that affect student teachers’ intentions and which also explain their interactions. The proposed IWB intention to use research model is based on prominent educational technology acceptance theories and models. Five variables (technology self-efficacy, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and intention to use) were selected to build a model for this study. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was used for this study to identify the predictors and the model fit. The proposed model has accounted for 47.6% of the variance in the intention to use IWB.

Flipped learning empowers learners to take an engaging role in learning while educators assist the learning process. The employment of flipped learning has been confirmed to enhance the teaching and learning of English as a second language in previous studies. This study aimed to explore the application of the unified theory of technology acceptance and use of technology towards ESL lecturers’ intention to use flipped learning. This study used a quantitative research framework where a set of online questionnaires was used in collecting the data. A total of 206 English as a second language lecturers from four different universities participated in this study. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The result of this study indicates that only social influence is significant in predicting English as a second language lecturers’ intention to use the flipped learning approach. Furthermore, this study enriches the literature on 21st century education and the integration of technology in teaching and learning. In addition, this study could help educators and stakeholders in adapting or enhancing the flipped learning approach by distinguishing the distinct predictors of technology acceptance.

e-learning based on Web 2.0 applications is widely available for education to support teaching and learning efficiency and effectiveness. The objective of this research is to examine factors influencing teachers’ intention to use of Web 2.0 into teaching in Indonesian Vocational High Schools (VHSs) using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) frameworks. Based on these two frameworks, we developed a survey instrument and validated it through face and content validity. For the data analysis, we applied exploratory factorial analyses (EFA). To assess the model, a covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) was used. The study involved 640 respondents who completed 35 online instrument items of seven validated variables. Results informed that there was a significant difference based on gender regarding intention to use Web 2.0; however, no significant differences were informed based on age and teaching subject. Besides, the findings also informed that TPACK, subjective norm, and facilitating condition significantly influenced intention to use Web 2.0.

E-commerce market in Indonesia has tremendous growth and predicted to become significant contributor to Foreign Direct Investment. Millennials, heavily affected by technology and internet, considered to be the driver growth of e-commerce. Applying the theory of modified Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this research analyzes whether perceived of ease of use and perceived usefulness mediate the impact of computer self-efficacy on the behavior of e-commerce users to use Lazada platform. The study was a quantitative study with online questionnaire. Data of 200 respondents were analyzed by Structural Equation Modelling and the result shows that computer self-efficacy indirectly affects behavioral intention to use through perceived ease of use. Perceived usefulness and attitude towards use are not significant mediators because of their insignificance on intention to use. Computer self-efficacy has significant impact on behavioral intention mediated by perceived ease of use, but not by perceived usefulness.

Teacher education must provide the knowledge and skills necessary for technology integration, but also influence attitudes and beliefs. Little research has been conducted on how knowledge, beliefs, and attitudes predict teachers’ intentions to use technology. The aim of this study was to identify how perceived knowledge about technology integration, and beliefs and attitudes towards using technology, impact the intention to use technology among student teachers. The sample consisted of 232 student teachers from the University of Tartu. Data were collected using a questionnaire based on elements of two different models. Validating the technology acceptance scale using a confirmatory factor analysis identified that perceived usefulness was split into two constructs: perceived usefulness for students and perceived usefulness for teachers. Path analysis, as a special type of structural equation modelling, was used to test 11 hypotheses. The results showed that both perceived ease of use and attitude to use have direct effects on intention to use. Still, perceived usefulness for teachers and perceived knowledge displayed an indirect influence. Based on these results, it is important that student teachers should be convinced that technology is easy to use in teaching.

The study developed a theoretical model based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) called the e-learning acceptance model (ELAM) during 2020. Using structural equation modelling (SEM), farmers’ behavioural intention to use (BIU), an e-learning module on Climate-Smart Horticulture was investigated. The facilitating condition, followed by perceived ease of use, attitude toward e-learning, and self-efficacy, was found to be the most influential predictor of behavioural intention to use an e-learning module by the structural equation model (SEM). The endogenous variable BIU having R2 value of 0.62 indicated that the exogenous variables viz., FC (Facilitating Condition), PEU (Perceived Ease of Use), ATT (Attitude toward e-learning) and SE (Self-Efficacy) had jointly explained and predicted 62 per cent of accuracy on BIU in ELAM.

The objectives of the study were as follows: To examine the validity (or adequacy) of using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with pre-service student teachers in the West Bank (Palestine), to identify the perceptions of student teachers with respect to ease and utility of using computer technology, and to identify the attitudes of student teachers toward computer technology and their intention to use it in teaching. To achieve these objectives, six null hypotheses were formulated. The sample consisted of 260 student teachers. A questionnaire was used to collect the data. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique was used to analyze data. Results revealed that the fit between the data TAM model was acceptable. Also, the results revealed that student teachers used computer technology with ease and this had a positive direct effect on their perception of its usefulness. In addition, perception of usefulness had a positive direct effect on the attitude of student teachers toward its use, which in turn, had a positive direct effect on their intention to use it. However, the perception of student teachers with respect to using computer technology with ease had no direct effect on their attitude toward its use, and their perception of usefulness of its use had no direct effect on their intention to use it.

Snapchat, and Instagram are two social networks which recently gain their users after adopting such a feature called "Story" which allows a certain post to be disappeared after a certain time. This research takes up this technology trends analyzing the factors that probably affect the behavioral intention to use Snapchat and Instagram stories among generation Z. Factors are analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling, with basis model and variables from Technology Acceptance Model. Data collection was targeted to finished within 1 week using online questionnaire with respondent from Jakarta and Tangerang for 100 respondent that are using both Snapchat stories and Instagram Stories. There are two tools researcher usually use to analyze Structural Equation Modeling: SPSS AMOS and LISREL. In this research, researchers choose AMOS. From six hypothesis proposed for Snapchat analysis, four hypothesis is accepted, while the other two are rejected. Meanwhile, on Instagram Stories analysis, five hypothesis is accepted and one hypothesis is rejected. This study finds out the Social Presence is an exogenous variable which has a major role in affecting other variables. While Perceived Enjoyment influenced the behavioral intention to use Snapchat and Instagram Stories the most. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that shape behavioural intentions of customers towards the adoption of payment banks in India. The conceptual framework of study is based upon integration of technology acceptance model with initial trust, facilitating conditions and social influence. Further, the study tests the moderating role of age, income and self-efficacy on the relationships between dependent variable and associated predicted variable. A total of 507 responses were collected from the state of Punjab (India), using convenient sampling technique and were analysed using the structural equation modelling (SEM). The results revealed that perceived ease of use had the highest impact on the behavioural intentions, followed by initial trust and social influence. Facilitating conditions and perceived usefulness showed lower impact on the behavioural intentions towards the adoption of payment banks. Also, moderation analysis revealed that self-efficacy moderates the relation of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness with behavioural intentions. Results imply that marketers should collaborate with developers to provide the customers with easy-to-operate solutions along with robust customer support mechanism to escalate the adoption intention of those having lower self-efficacy levels.

AbstractDigital technologies fundamentally transform teaching and learning in higher education environments, with the pace of technological change exacerbating the challenge. Due to the current pandemic situation, higher education environments are all now forced to move away from traditional teaching and learning structures that are simply no longer adaptable to the challenges of rapidly changing educational environments. This research develops a conceptual model and employs Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using Partial least Squares (PLS) to examine the impact of information and digital literacy on 249 Finnish university staff and students’ intention to use digital technologies. The findings show the complex interrelationship between literacy skills and digital technologies among university staff and students. The results illustrate that information literacy has a direct and significant impact on intention to use; while, unlike our expectation, digital literacy does not have a direct impact on the intention to use. However, its effect is mediated through performance expectancy and effort expectancy. The authors suggest that to understand the changes that are taking place in higher education environment, more attention needs to be paid to redefining policies and strategies in order to enhance individuals’ willingness to use digital technologies within higher education environments.
