Colleges across the world share a common goal of wanting to improve academic performance of students. In this era of culpability, the pressure for principals to improve students' performance has increased. The purpose of this chapter is to identify the best leadership style adopted by principals of vocational colleges in Kenya. Lecturers in selected vocational colleges were issued with a modified Bass's multi-factor leadership questionnaire (MLQ) to aid the data collection process. Structural equation model (SEM) approach was used to test a model that measures principals' best leadership style on learning outcomes. The study established that principals practiced more transactional leadership. In addition, transactional leadership style significantly and positively influenced learning outcomes. The findings have a variety of implications to vocational training and future research direction.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of transformational and transactional leadership style on the performance of the latest version of the FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) food safety management system, version 5 of 2019 in the food industry in Tangerang. The object of the research were employees in several food industries that worked in the Tangerang City area who had implemented FSSC 22000 version 5 2019; as many as 120 people, and data collection method was done by giving out electronic questionnaire to several employees randomly. The analysis tool in this study used SEM (Structural Equation Model) LISREL program version 8.70. The results showed that the transformational leadership style positively and significantly affected the performance of the FSSC 22000 implementation and the transactional leadership style also contributed positive effect on the performance of the FSSC 22000 food safety management system and it can be concluded that leadership was important for the implementation of the FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System.

In order to carry out the main tasks of the Military to safeguard the sovereignty of the nation and the state, the educated, trained and professional soldiers are needed. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously improve work motivation and performance of all soldiers. The research was carried out on 200 Personnels at military education institutions to obtain data on relationships between variables. The data was processed with the structural equation model and was continued with system dynamics to obtain simulations that reflect the relationship model between variables. Based on the compiled system dynamics model, the conclusions and suggestions for improvement leadership style and motivation in order to improve the soldier’s performance can be obtained. The results showed that: system dynamics can be used to model soldier’s performance. It was needed to increase the transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style and motivation in order to improve the performance of soldiers. Some efforts can be made to improve performance through leadership styles such as reward and punishment and encourage innovation, creativity, and inspiration from leaders.

This study is first of its kind to investigate the influence of leadership style on employee trust, employee morale and employee emotion in the context of steel industry. This set of three employee outcomes is studied in a conceptual framework comprising of a seven-month study, with a sample of 272 workers of steel firms in Chhattisgarh state, the central part of India. SmartPLS 2.0 is used to perform confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modelling to analyse and validate the conceptual framework. The study makes a twofold contribution. First, it finds that transactional leadership style has a negative influence on employee outcomes. Second, it suggests that managers of steel firms use transformational leadership style to enhance employee outcomes. This study reveals that the outcome of a steel firm’s employee is aligned better with transformational leadership style, rather than the transactional leadership style.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the nature of the relationship between leadership styles, organisational climate, innovation and organisational performance. The study was quantitative in nature using questionnaires submitted by 231 participants from various companies in South Africa. The statistical analysis was based on Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using the path analysis. The results from SEM reveal that transformational leadership style influences the climate for innovation and organisational performance directly and innovation indirectly. Similarly, a direct relationship between transactional leadership style and organisational performance was found, but no relationship was found between transactional leadership style and innovation. The findings assist managers to better understand which leadership style to adopt when the aim is to increase organisational performance using innovation as an enabler. This is the first study that investigated the nature of the relationship between leadership styles, organisational climate, innovation and organisational performance taking into account the nature of innovation (i.e., incremental and radical) and the stage at which innovation is operating in the innovation process.

This study aims to examine and analyze the relationship between leadership style, work environment, job satisfaction and employee performance. This research was conducted at PT. Khrisna Multi Lintas Cemerlang with the research population were all employees who work in the company. All data obtained from questionnaires were suitable for use, then were analyzed by using structural equation model based on variant analysis which is known as Partial Least Square (PLS). The result of this research shows that the leadership style has positive and significant effect on employee performance, the work environment has positive and significant effect on employee performance, the leadership style has positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, the work environment has positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and job satisfaction has positive and significant on employee performance. The implication of this research was that the leadership needs to give freedom to subordinate to express their opinions, the workplace air temperature was well regulated, the work that was charged according to the ability and expertise, always guided by the company standard in carrying out each task and the employee has high knowledge in solving problem
