This chapter provides an overview of the perspectives from previous research on nautical tourism and identifies relevant gaps that should be addressed in future studies. The chapter characterizes policies and practices related to nautical tourism in the European Union and Portugal, taking into account their framework in the context of maritime and coastal tourism, and also in the context of the Blue/Sea Economy. Such analysis seems particularly relevant given this sector's strong dynamism in job creation and wealth generation on any of these scales of analysis.

In developed economies, innovation is the main driver of achieving the competitiveness of society as well as countries. Achieving the economic development of society and countries requires radical innovations that change habits and have an impact on job creation and regional development. <p>The European Union is dominated by permanent change and diversity so that public opinion regarding different EU-related issues follows a similar trend. Within this continually changing context, there are two important interconnected things to be considered: first, public opinion towards the EU represents the core of political and academic debates over the present and future of the European integration. Second, the favorable attitudes and opinions towards the EU have increasingly changed into disapproving or sceptic attitudes in the last years. Although there are studies on Eurosceptic attitudes and their causes in almost all EU member states, only a few of them offer a clear overview of this issue. The present paper addresses four questions: What is actually Euroscepticism?; What are the faces of Euroscepticism in the EU as a whole?; How prominent are Eurosceptic attitudes in Romania?; Where do we go from here? The aim of this paper is to examine the theoretical foundations of Euroscepticism and to provide insightful information to be used in future studies.</p>

Nowadays, one of the essential issues of any business is represented by CSR. Corporate Social Responsibility is also known, from a European view, as the “Responsible Business Conduct” of everyone, and so this paper highlights the importance of being responsible from early beginnings. Being actual “revolutionary forces”, entrepreneurs contribute to national wealth and growth, job creation, productivity stimulation, adaptation and innovation to meet ongoing changes in market demands. We analyze the conduct of young entrepreneurs and discuss their knowledge in the matter of CSR. We ask young entrepreneurs: What type of CSR actions their firms undertake? How their age and size of the firm influence CSR actions? Their answers are to be analyzed and discussed in a broader context as one of the European Union. Measuring CSR awareness among young entrepreneurs shows a significant increase at a macro level but still a low rate when looking at other UE countries. Our findings prove that entrepreneurs are aware of the concept and dimensions of CSR, but still, profit is more important. We conclude and highlight the importance of productive entrepreneurial activities supported by integrating CSR actions into the company’s strategy and development directions to ensure the balance between the company’s objectives and its interests.

The analysis that will be addressed in this paper will be in the outline of understanding the relationship between gender and politics as a dynamic and variable impact of the women?s movement on public policy and their institutionalization. Within the theoretical framework of ?state feminism?, I will try to give a critical review of the impact and results of the gender equality mechanisms (women?s policy agencies), especially in relation to the policies and practices of the feminist movement in Serbia. My analysis will be primarily based on the theoretical bases derived from the research project on state feminism (2010) conducted by Dorothy E. McBride and Amy G. Mazur for more than thirty years. Also, some academic work dealing with state feminism concept will be examined trough case studies from the Western Balkans countries (Kesic, 2007,Spehar, 2007, 2012, 2014). Examples from the level of the European Union will be also taken into account (Squires 2007; Kantola and Outshoorn, 2007; Kantola and Dahl 2005; Kantola and Squires, 2012). Also, ?state feminism? is examined within the framework of the semi-periphery and policy creation in the process of transition and European Union accession.

Beekeeping is an integral part of the European agricultural production. More than 620 000 beekeepers work in the beekeeping branch of the European Union. Beekeeping is recognised to be an activity, which has an essential significance in the sustainable development of the rural areas, in the job-creation, the conservation of the ecosystem’s biological diversity, and in the maintenance of ecological balance. The basic principle of biological beekeeping is the production of as natural produce as possible. The study uses the analytical method to explore the current situation in the biological beekeeping sector. The analytical and comparative method helped to identify the problematic issues concerning the implementation of the beekeeping process and support measures. To study different views on the problems of biological beekeeping, the following methods for interpretation of legal norms were used: grammatical, systemic, teleological, and historical. The inductive and deductive scientific research methods were used to draw conclusions regarding current normative regulations and to recommend possible solutions.

Abstract Besides the economical criteria of convergence, which have been precisely laid down in the EC-treaties, especially in the treaties of Maastricht, the integration of labour markets is an explicit aim of the European Union. Considering that approx. 19 million employees within the EC are not gainfully employed, a common and well-aimed labour market policy seems to be one of the major responsibilities of European economical and social policy. The instruments of job creation and preservation in Germany are being compared with the aims of the EC-comission, also experiences of other countries are being involved. The Christian Churches in Europe are committed to get involved in tackling unemployment and its human-destructing effects. The Social Chamber of the EKD has made continuous proposals. At present, it is working on continuing its previous memorandums on unemployment. With this, also the memorandum ))Responsibility for a Social Europe« (1992) is being continued and put into concrete terms.
