Stroke is the leading cause of disability that influences the quality of people's daily life. As such, an effective method is required for post-stroke rehabilitation. Research has shown that a robot is a good rehabilitation alternative where conventional robotic assistive system is encoded program by the robot expertise. The major drawback of this approach is that the lack of voluntary movement of the patient may affect the proficiency of the recovery process. Ideally, the robotic assistive system should recognize the intended movement and assist the patient to perform and make the training exercises more effective for recovery process. The electromyography based robotics assistive technology would enable the stroke patients to control the robot movement, according to the user's own strength of natural movement. This chapter briefly discusses the establishment of mathematical models based on artificial intelligent techniques that maps the surface electromyography (sEMG) signals to estimated joint torque of elbow for robotic assistive system.

Objective To study the nursing effect of individualized health education combined with cognitive training in elderly stroke patients. Methods 112 elderly stroke patients treated in the Department of Neurology of our hospital from January to June 2017 were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. In the control group, routine treatment, nursing and rehabilitation exercises were carried out, and regular health education was carried out. The experimental group, on the basis of routine treatment, nursing and rehabilitation exercise, carried out individualized health education and cognitive training combining the content of individualized health education. The effect of intervention was evaluated by Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale (MoCA), health education questionnaire, daily life self-care scale (ADL) and nurse job satisfaction questionnaire before intervention, at the end of intervention for 4 weeks and at the end of intervention for 12 weeks. Results At the end of 4th and 12th week after intervention, the scores o MoCA, the awareness rate of health education, ADL and job satisfaction of nurses were higher than those before intervention, and the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), with statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Individualized health education combined with cognitive training can effectively improve the patients’ cognitive function, improve the patients’ awareness of stroke disease and the compliance of health education, improve the patients’ self-care ability in daily life and the satisfaction of nursing work, so as to improve the patients’ quality of life and quality of living.

As technological innovation is fused into the rehabilitation process, it gives conventional therapy a new direction with the products of interactive nature and easy to measure techniques. In the recent years, virtual reality based game therapy has turned out to be a promising option for post-stroke patients since it engages patients with fun based exercises during rehabilitation process. It also triggers their neuro-motor functions and accelerates the recovery process. Nevertheless it is necessary to extract some valuable information from the joint movements to measure the recovery condition of patients. Most of the designed games have introduced features to make them interesting as well as challenging for patients, however, only a few measure the joint parameters. We have designed a Kinect based game in Unity3D platform where patients can play game by moving their joints which results in different orthopaedic lessons required for rehabilitation therapy. In contrast to many Kinect based games where only joint movements are considered for playing the game, we have also introduced voice control through speech recognition and feedback provided in terms of audio-visual command to enhance patient’s engagement. Different joint parameters such as trajectory, range of motion, joint velocity, acceleration, reaching time and joint torque are also measured to help quantify the heath condition.

<p><strong><em>Abstract:</em></strong><em> Design of Special Hospital Stroke in Sukoharjo effected by the increase in cases of stroke from time to time, the main cause of death almost all hospitals are there in Indonesia, as well as yet of the existence of special handling psychologically for stroke patients particularly in Central Java, one area of Shorkot ever several times had the highest stroke cases. Design issues include: how to realize the design of container recovery process of health stroke patients by creating the quantity and quality of space or that can help cure using the application Healing Environment. The purpose of this design is as a container that hosts the health service in the territory of the People devoted to the sufferers of stroke that is designed using the method of healing by structuring the physical environment health facilities that can speed up the recovery time of the patient's health both physically and psychologically. The method used is the method of programming Architecture Palmer. The result is the design of hospitals that can accelerate the recovery process of health stroke patients both physically and psychologically with the application of the concept of the Healing Environment in outer space or space in hospitals, particularly in the treatment rooms.</em></p><p><em> </em></p><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><em> Healing Environment, Psychological, Special Hospital, Stroke</em>.</p>

The current processes of recovery of post-infarction and post-stroke patients in the context of the establishment of the institution of family doctors and insurance medicine are considered. It was proposed to introduce modules for automation of recovery process (MARP) to ensure procedures, quality of life and reduce labor costs during the period of long-term recovery. The forms of presentation of the model of the integral indicator are substantiated, which, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health, assesses the generalized indicator of the patient's condition (GPC), the quality of medical services and increases the efficiency of data compression. A consistent application of two Euclidean norms is proposed, which leads indicators of dissimilar physical nature to a limited metric space. The relationship between the lower and upper bounds of the GPC, the error, the width of the sliding window, and the values of the derivatives was established on the basis of the Taylor series expansion, geometric inequality and limited space. The model for evaluating the GPS as a lower bound and the method for generating information about its properties are substantiated. A three-level comparator is applied and an indicator vector (IV) is introduced as an informational addition to the time series. Additional capabilities for intelligent analysis are demonstrated. The model of GPC through IV is presented. The examples of IV values are used to demonstrate its applicability to the intelligent analysis of the recovery process. Openness, accessibility, transparency of GPC and IV as tools of KIT is implemented by the princes of public administration (PA) by reducing it to quantitative control and comparison if there are quantitative and qualitative indicators in the list. IV, sliding windows, as PA and KIT tools in software (SW) for a diagnostic conclusion and correction of the course of procedures, are numerically investigated. It is demonstrated on examples of a numerical experiment with software how the combined application of the method for calculating the GPC and IV effectively affects the compression ratio, increasing it to 60–75 %

Currently, the problem of early rehabilitation of stroke patients is important, since in terms of the prevalence of cerebrovascular diseases and disability after suffering a stroke, Russia is one of the first places in the world. The complex of medical rehabilitation of such patients should provide for the early and most complete restoration of all body functions, patient education for lost skills, re-socialization of the patient and improvement of the quality of life. One of the factors contributing to a significant reduction in the quality of life after a stroke is the development of chronic constipation. The article reflects the modern methods of correction of chronic constipation in patients with limited mobility.
