Motor Behaviour and Physical Capacities Analysis From the Laban Movement Analysis

Dance education should not be thought of as only regarding the motor learning perspective. This chapter will look at how the motor challenges happen and which physical capacities would aid the efforts and qualities of the movement. The Taxonomy of Pitta's Dance was envisioned based on the first movement analysis by Rudolf Laban. Laban Movement Analysis system was proposed observing the dynamic change in the quality of movement, which can be compared to the variability of motor behaviour. From this analysis, motor challenges may be consistent and compatible with the movement studied. Understanding the movement qualities during choreography allows the development of an effective physical training program for dancers to support the choreography characteristics and decrease injuries.

Various physical training programs have been devised to achieve greater physical fitness for handicapped children who otherwise exercise insufficiently. Such training may also facilitate socializing and play at school. Running exercises were conducted with 4 handicapped preschoolers and 3 age-matched normal preschoolers for 3 30-min. sessions per week for 11 weeks. Measures were seconds taken to run 25 meters and ratings of play behavior. Analysis showed that children who reluctandy joined the exercise made little progress in running. The quality of movement and play activities in nursery school and interactive behavior improved significantly for participants who also improved in running.

Along with the strong development of camera networks, a video analysis system has been become more and more popular and has been applied in various practical applications. In this paper, we focus on person re-identification (person ReID) task that is a crucial step of video analysis systems. The purpose of person ReID is to associate multiple images of a given person when moving in a non-overlapping camera network. Many efforts have been made to person ReID. However, most of studies on person ReID only deal with well-alignment bounding boxes which are detected manually and considered as the perfect inputs for person ReID. In fact, when building a fully automated person ReID system the quality of the two previous steps that are person detection and tracking may have a strong effect on the person ReID performance. The contribution of this paper are two-folds. First, a unified framework for person ReID based on deep learning models is proposed. In this framework, the coupling of a deep neural network for person detection and a deep-learning-based tracking method is used. Besides, features extracted from an improved ResNet architecture are proposed for person representation to achieve a higher ReID accuracy. Second, our self-built dataset is introduced and employed for evaluation of all three steps in the fully automated person ReID framework.

Among the functional limitations associated with hip osteoarthritis (OA), the alteration of gait capabilities represents one of the most invalidating as it may seriously compromise the quality of life of the affected individual. The use of quantitative techniques for human movement analysis has been found valuable in providing accurate and objective measures of kinematics and kinetics of gait in individuals with hip OA, but few studies have reported in-depth analyses of lower limb joint kinematics during gait and, in particular, there is a scarcity of data on interlimb symmetry. Such aspects were investigated in the present study which tested 11 individuals with hip OA (mean age 68.3 years) and 11 healthy controls age- and sex-matched, using 3D computerized gait analysis to perform point-by-point comparisons of the joint angle trends of hip, knee, and ankle. Angle-angle diagrams (cyclograms) were also built to compute several parameters (i.e., cyclogram area and orientation and Trend Symmetry) from which to assess the degree of interlimb symmetry. The results show that individuals with hip OA exhibit peculiar gait patterns characterized by severe modifications of the physiologic trend at hip level even in the unaffected limb (especially during the stance phase), as well as minor (although significant) alterations at knee and ankle level. The symmetry analysis also revealed that the effect of the disease in terms of interlimb coordination is present at knee joint as well as hip, while the ankle joint appears relatively preserved from specific negative effects from this point of view. The availability of data on such kinematic adaptations may be useful in supporting the design of specific rehabilitative strategies during both preoperative and postoperative periods.

AbstractWhen we use virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) environments to investigate behaviour or train motor skills, we expect that the insights or skills acquired in VR/AR transfer to real-world settings. Motor behaviour is strongly influenced by perceptual uncertainty and the expected consequences of actions. VR/AR differ in both of these aspects from natural environments. Perceptual information in VR/AR is less reliable than in natural environments, and the knowledge of acting in a virtual environment might modulate our expectations of action consequences. Using mirror reflections to create a virtual environment free of perceptual artefacts, we show that hand movements in an obstacle avoidance task systematically differed between real and virtual obstacles and that these behavioural differences occurred independent of the quality of the available perceptual information. This suggests that even when perceptual correspondence between natural and virtual environments is achieved, action correspondence does not necessarily follow due to the disparity in the expected consequences of actions in the two environments.

The inventory system is a system that has a very important role in a company. Inventory systems have been widely used or developed in a place with various technologies and systems. Problems at PT. Sanghiang Perkasa is due to the fact that the data has not been stored in a good file and the management and processing of inventory data is still processed in a conventional way, which has a very significant effect on the quality of the data and information produced. The main objective of this research is to produce an inventory system that is powerful and in accordance with the needs of the users associated with the inventory system. The system development method in this inventory system uses the waterfall method which consists of six stages. The stages are System Analysis and Design, software requirements analysis, system design, coding, system testing and maintenance. This system was built using the PHP programming language, DataBase MySQL. It is hoped that with the implementation of this inventory system at PT. Sanghiang Perkasa can make it easier to store and process data and information such as stock-taking data, information on incoming and outgoing goods transactions, purchase and sales return data, managing customer and supplier data to making product stock reports and assembly reports.
