The general Latin American population with a physical disability or limited mobility has faced the daily basis challenge of having autonomy in home activities, with low-income or almost no-income. Needy Brazilian communities are examples of poor populations suffering from the lack of autonomy at home, aggravated by scarce financial resources. The authors developed a low-cost home automation system, aiming to assist people who live in Palmeira dos Indios city and Arapiraca city, needy communities located in the Northeast of Brazil. The system is composed of hardware and software components. The hardware comprises of microcontrollers used to actuate over electrical devices at home, while an Android application provides a simple graphical user interface (GUI) to control the devices using touch and voice commands by Bluetooth communication. They evaluated the system by implementing a home model and providing the home for four physical disability persons and one limited mobility person. They considered the system`s effectiveness, the system`s usability, and users` perceptions during the evaluation.

- In today’s situation involuntary classifications remain existence favoured over physical system. Home automation is playing significant part in humanoid lifespan. The paper is used intended for nursing and controlling the home-grown utilizations via World Wide Web which container interconnect through home automation system through an Internet entry, by means of announcement conventions. Home automation scheme uses the hand-held or vesture diplomacies as a user boundary. This paper goals at supervisory household utilizations via Smartphone using Bluetooth as announcement etiquette and interfaced with Arduino Board. It assimilates Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor, Temperature sensor, gas sensor, Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor. At this time PIR sensor and Temperature sensors remained used for controlling the spotlight and fan. The statement through attendant permits the operator to excellent the fitting device. In the proposed organization an android app was developed to access the system wherever via Internet of things. The gas device used to designate the absorption of gas in the air. Buzzer attentive is given to warm others neighbouring home and also the possessor through internet via the smart receiver. The LDR is used to switch garden spotlight. This project provides a low cost and competent Homegrown Computerization System.

The usage of Information and Technology in Indonesia is increasing from year to year. Internet is growing rapidly and prices offered by Internet providers are getting cheaper over time. In addition, smart phone users in Indonesia is also growing in number. This leads to the dependence between the user technologies with information technology systems. In the emerging era, a lot of activities that can be completed by the information system. This makes the users of such technology was spoiled by the presence of new technologies. This prompted the authors to research and design a home automation system that can be used by the user to adjust the electricity consumption by appliances that use electricity at home by using android application that is embedded in the mobile device so that the electricity consumption in the home is not excessive and needed when necessary. Design of the home automation system designed from data collection to conduct interviews regarding the structure of electricity at home, making home electrical schematic design, code generation commands to the microcontroller, the design of the web server for communication with mobile application  to microcontroller, the design of the server for home automation. It is used to schedule each electrical appliance that is registered with the manufacture of a mobile application for home automation system that will be embedded in mobile devices and the Android Operating System. Keywords: mobile, house automation, electricity

Technology is a never-ending process. To be able to design a product using the current technology that will be beneficial to the lives of others is a huge contribution to the community. This project presents the design and implementation of a low cost but flexible and secure cell phone based home automation system. The design is based on a standalone Arduino BT board and the home appliances are connected to the input/ output ports of this board via relays. The communication between the cell phone and the Arduino BT board is wireless. This project is designed to be low cost and scalable allowing variety of devices to be controlled with minimum changes to its core. Password protection is being used to only allow authorized users from accessing the appliances at home remotely.

Abstract Recent development of computer and communication technology of Internet now enables more sophisticated system. This research presents new type of remote home automation system that can perform efficient bi-directional management of appliances and security/safety systems at home through Internet. Three-dimensional graphic user interfaces based on virtual reality technology were used to make remote users feel reality. User feels like being at his home and also gets present state of control objects at home with usual web-browser. This system has client and server architect to obtain efficient bi-directional management and uses Java and VRML for information handling. In this paper, the internet-based remote control system was proposed and proved validity by being applied to home automation system.

Internet of Things (IoT) conceptualizes the idea of remotely connecting and monitoring real world objects through the Internet. Home monitoring and home automation are utilized in order to uphold the comfortable living conditions within a home. This IoT project focuses on building a smart wireless home automation system. A low cost flexible and reliable home automation system with additional security using Arduino microcontroller, with IP connectivity through local Wi-Fi for accessing and controlling devices by authorized user remotely using Smart phone application. The proposed system is server independent and uses Internet of Things to control human desired appliances starting from industrial machine to consumer goods. To demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of this system, we present a home automation system using Arduino IDE software and ESP-32 microcontroller as a connectivity module. It helps the user to control various appliances such as light, fan, TV and can take decision based on the feedback of sensors remotely

Security has always been of utmost importance everywhere. People want their houses, stores, warehouses etc. to be secure at all times. To make this possible and much easier, smart door locking mechanism was brought into the picture. A smart door lock can help us to ensure that our houses are locked and we can check this from anywhere with only a mobile phone in our hands. This is the perfect example of managing home security without the requirement of being there. This can be implemented by using a Bluetooth Hc-05 module to connect an Arduino UNO board or a microcontroller to an Android app or by using IOT depending on the range of access required by the users. This smart home automation system can specifically manage life a little easier for people having some form of physical disability.

The home automation system is indeed a system that offers a mobile application to monitor it through the smartphone or tablet. It can control home appliances like light, fans, air conditions, and smart security locks, etc. Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is used for remote control of things. Smart home is essentially how it looks: automating with such an easy touch of a button or a voice command the ability to manage things across the home. Several operations were both simple and extremely low-cost, such as setting up a light to turn on and off at the time of your moment. Others need much more money and resources, including advanced spy cameras. Some people thought that technology is taking a really huge part of our lives. It does! we’re living in a modern generation where smart and intelligent systems are necessary to be there wherever we are to make our lives easier and much better, for example, we can do many things faster, better, and more accurate.
