Factors Affecting Online Consumer Buying Behavior Towards Essential Oils in Penang

The purpose of this chapter is to determine the factors influencing the online consumer buying behavior towards essential oils in Penang as there is dissonance between what the consumers want and what has been made available in the purchase of essential oils. There are four factors influencing the online consumer buying behavior that are being evaluated in this research which are brand image, price, quality, and online advertisement. Past literatures have been reviewed on the factors to understand consumers' preferences that leads to consumer buying decision. This study adopted the theory of reasoned action (TRA) as the grounded theory. Questionnaires will be used to collect consumers' response for further testing and analysis to test the relationship and strength of factor variables by using the outlined research methodology.

The present study is concerned in the field of consumer buying behavior, especially e-shopping in Pakistan. E-commerce has created easiness and innovativeness in humans’ life. Online consumer buying behavior is not like a physical market having ability to touch, analyze, and thereafter shop the products. This study explores the effect of few variables, derived from existing literature. Those variables are perceived benefits, domain specific innovativeness, and shopping orientations, i.e., impulse-purchase orientation, brand orientation and quality orientation. The data was collected by mean of the questionnaires. The findings indicated that domain specific innovativeness and shopping orientations have positive impact on consumers’ buying behavior towards online shopping. Therefore, consumers are showing an interest to online shopping because of recent development of electronic stores in Pakistan.

The world has been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak recently, affecting the economy worldwide. Due to the booming of online activities, especially online shopping, this study is interested in finding the relationship between factors affecting consumers’ buying behavior on online shopping in Malaysia during the COVID-19 pandemic. The least studies related to this issue is needed in Malaysia to further understand the behavior of the consumers on online shopping. Based on available literatures, the factors of interest were trust, convenience, price, product variety and promotion on consumers’ buying behavior in Malaysia. The study employed survey procedures to collect the data, whereby online questionnaires were disseminated and recorded from a total of 335 respondents. The data was then analysed using several statistical analyses, namely pilot test, descriptive statistics and an ordered probit model.  The result from an ordered probit model indicated that convenience, product variety, trust and promotion affected the Malaysian consumers’ buying behavior during the pandemic. Only price showed an insignificant impact on online shopping. This gave the sellers insight into understanding the consumers’ buying behavior on the online platform by planning marketing strategies to fascinate more customers.

The research paper aims to identify significant factors affecting towards the Social Media Marketing which can influence and affect the Brand Image of organizations in the hospitality sector. The identified factors include the following; 1. Positivity, 2. Consistency, 3. Differentiation, 4. Personality, and 5. Engagement Opportunities on Social Media. A framework was developed to highlight the relationship of the factors and their direct influence and impact on the Brand Image. A questionnaire is used to obtain primary data, and the data is analysed using a variety of statistical tools to measure and evaluate the strength of the influence and impact of Social Media Marketing on Brand Image of Hospitality Brands. Assessing the influence and impact of Social Media Marketing on their Brand Image can help organizations in the hospitality industry to evaluate the success of their Social Media Marketing Campaigns, while organizations that are currently not engaged in Social Media Marketing can gain a better understanding on how to utilize Social Media platforms to enhance their Brand Image.

Advertising is a way of communication to convince an audience for taking purchase decision about a product or service and delivering information to viewers. This paper examines the relationship between environmental response and emotional response which are independent variables with dependent variable i.e. consumer buying behavior. This research investigates the relationship between the variables involved, by taking the 200 responses in twins’ cities of Pakistan. Findings of this study show the moderate relationship between independent variables and dependent variable. It shows that consumer purchase those brands from which they are emotionally attached. This study reports new results in the field of buying behavior of consumers’ response.

Advertising today is different from what is used to be before the revelation of digital marketing channels. The ultimate switch from traditional advertising channels to digital marketing channels has seen a vast expansion, expansion that has been observed in the amount of time users spend on digital devices. We can easily say that advertising is everywhere around us today, with the help of increased usage of technology, smartphones and other electronic devices that are constant during the day-to-day basis of people’s lives. Therefore, it becomes very interesting to research and conclude whether this constant exposure of advertisements on different digital marketing channels have an effect on consumer’s buying behavior towards advertisements of products or services. The main aim of this study is to identify and explain whether through different digital marketing channels advertisements can change the attitude of people regarding products or services and there purchasing behavior from a stand point view of consumers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. To achieve this goal, the analysis of data is based on qualitative data derived from a survey as a primary form of data collection. A research model with three independent variables (social media marketing, email marketing, and mobile phone marketing) and one dependent variable (consumer buying behavior) was developed based on the literature review. The outcomes of this research are going to provide insights of what effects through online advertisement can make changes on the consumer buying behavior.
