The use of cloud computing has remarkable advantages in business performance. It is related especially in the portion of the organizational environment, such as organizational culture and organizational agility. Organizational agility provides an easier process to search and retrieve knowledge and allow the businesses to utilize and apply this knowledge to get high-quality services. Agility and culture factors can help organizations to enhance their cloud computing adoption. The achievement of any organization is dependent upon human resources. With human resources, the organization can develop its employees by sharing knowledge, skill, and experience of personnel. Expert cloud has a significant impact on and direct relation with human resources as it facilitates the communication among human resources better, more efficiently, and reduces the cost of the service. In this paper, the authors discuss the relationship between expert cloud and human resources to enhance the organizational performance through the assistance of organizational agility and culture.

The aim of this paper is to measure the business performance by taking Cloud computing adoption as a mediating variable in Indian industries. A conceptual model is framed using the concept of a TAM-TOE framework which is combined with some new constructs of ‘Risk'. Partial and full mediation are used from the umbrella concept of SEM (Structural Equation Modelling) to test the hypotheses. The study identified that Technological variables ‘Technology Innovation (TI)' and ‘Usage of Technology (UT)' positively mediates the relationship, Organizational variable ‘Industry Usage (IU)' negatively mediates the relationship and Environmental variables ‘Management Style (MS)' positively mediates the relationship whereas ‘Trust (T)' has no mediation effect. The ‘Risk' factors ‘Risk Analysis (RA)' positively influences the mediation process and ‘Perceived IT Security Risk (PITR)' has no mediation effect on the dependent variable ‘Business performance (BP)'. The findings of the study have some important implications. As the constructs ‘Risk (Perceived IT Security Risk)' and ‘Trust' have no mediation effect, it implies industries do not give importance on these factors while adopting Cloud computing. Hence, risk and trust resulted as the barriers for technology adoption, and organizations should verify these criteria during Cloud computing adoption of a better performance in the business. The study tests indirect effect and direct effect on business performance considering Cloud computing adoption as the mediating variable.

PurposeFundamental literature exists on the employment of diverse information technology (IT) innovations relied on utility computing, a little experimental literature exists on cloud computing adoption by medium enterprises. So, this essay aims to analyze the determinants of the acceptance of cloud computing in medium-sized organizations. It also targets the impact of cloud-depended services on employers' talent management in the analysis areas of research reports, hypotheses and frameworks used by them.Design/methodology/approachCloud computing is a novel and notable development in the network application field with a novel IT viewpoint. The present investigation aims to assist and enrich the scientific argument regarding the phenomenon nominated cloud computing from a managerial perspective. A quantitative study design was utilized to gather and analyze the data. In total, 345 employees from different medium enterprises reported their perspectives via an online survey. Partial least squares was used to evaluate the model of the study. The investigation was performed from April 2020 to November 2020.FindingsAs expected, the empirical analysis results revealed that cloud computing adaption drivers positively and significantly associated with talent management. The results showed that organizational level is the most important factor in the effectiveness of talent management. Further, this study established a cloud strategy that moderates the relationships between cloud computing adaption drivers and talent management. As a general result, organization managers must implement cloud computing to improve organizational performance, reduce costs, enhance organizational innovation and reduce repetitive work. So, international trade facilitates and helps the country's economy.Research limitations/implicationsThere are still some drawbacks of this analysis that require addressing the findings. Initially, the authors gathered a country's data. Second, by considering multiple significant structures from four aspects, they established the study model. Third, utilizing one-time cross-sectional data, the suggested model was evaluated. As a proposal, future researchers could investigate cloud computing adoption drivers' outcomes within other organizations.Originality/valueThis research presents a straightforward and easy model for understanding the cloud's effect on employee talent management. By systematizing the unrelated studies on the subject and organizing those contributions into strong managerial literature paradigms, such an aim has been accomplished.

Purpose This paper aims to investigate the potential of knowledge management (KM) as a discipline in helping understand and manage social and economic complexity. The paper highlights some of the potential relationships between KM in organisations and their economic performance. Finally, the authors assess the role of human resources and technological infrastructures in the relationship between organisation’s approach to KM and their performance. Design/methodology/approach The hypotheses are tested via a survey on a sample of managerial-level employees of information technology organisations located in the city of Brno in Czech Republic. The data collected are analysed using structural equation modelling (SEM) to study the relationship between KM; the workforce’s willingness and ability to collaborate and co-create value; and the organisations’ economic performance. Findings The research found that there is a direct and positive relationship between an organisation’s approach to KM and its economic performance. This study also shows that the workforce’s behaviour and the technological infrastructure of the organisation have a direct effect on business performance. Finally, the authors proposed that a link between human resource management and technology orientation must be established and supported by a KM strategy. Originality/value This paper offers a new perspective to the approach to KM in organisations. Reflections and empirical results underline the need for organisations to invest in the implementation of KM strategies that involve both the human resources and technological infrastructure as a way to improve the impact of knowledge on the companies’ economic performances.

The size of international trade continues to extend rapidly from day to day as a result of the globalization process. This situation causes an increase in the economic activities of businesses in the trading area. One of the main objectives of the cost system applied in businesses is to be able to monitor the competitors and the changes that can be occured as a result of the developments in the sector. Thus, making cost accounting that is proper according to IAS / IFRS and tax legislation has become one of the strategic targets of the companies in most countries. In this respect, businesses should form their cost and pricing systems according to new regulations. Transfer pricing practice is usefull in setting the most proper price for goods that are subject to the transaction, in evaluating the performance of the responsibility centers of business, and in determining if the inter-departmental pricing system is consistent with targets of the business. The taxing powers of different countries and also the taxing powers of different institutions in a country did not overlap. Because of this reason, bringing new regulations to the tax system has become essential. The transfer pricing practice that has been incorporated into the Turkish Tax System is one of the these regulations. The transfer pricing practice which includes national and international transactions has been included in the Corporate Tax Law and Income Tax Law. The aim of this study is to analyse the impact of goods and services transfer that will occur between departments of businesses on the responsibility center and business performance, and also the impact of transfer pricing practice on the business performance on the basis of tax-related matters. As a result of the study, it can be said that transfer pricing practice has an impact on business performance in terms of both price and tax-related matters.

The paper has a two fold purpose - examine the impact of bar service operation practices (BSOP) on organizational performance (OP) and study the relationship between organizational performance and demographic variables. Based on a survey of 362 bar managers perceptions on the impact of bar service operation practices on organizational performance were assessed by 59 practices and 6 demographic variables. Bivariate test and ANOVA were employed to test the working hypothesis in the study. Results indicated that there is a positive relationship between the bar service operation practices and organizational performance. Further, the results indicate some practical and managerial implications to improve organizational overall performance.

Current estimates of obesity costs ignore the impact of future weight loss and gain, and may either over or underestimate economic consequences of weight loss. In light of this, I construct static and dynamic measures of medical costs associated with body mass index (BMI), to be balanced against the cost of one-time interventions. This study finds that ignoring the implications of weight loss and gain over time overstates the medical-cost savings of such interventions by an order of magnitude. When the relationship between spending and age is allowed to vary, weight-loss attempts appear to be cost-effective starting and ending with middle age. Some interventions recently proven to decrease weight may also be cost-effective.

Numerous studies have been conducted to explore the individual effects of organizational culture (OC) and supply chain management (SCM) practices on organizational performance (OP) in different settings. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of OC and SCM on OP. The sample of the study consisted of 93 manufacturing firms in Jordan. Data were collected from employees and managers from different divisions using a reliable and valid measurement instrument. The findings confirm that both OC and SCM practices significantly predict OP. The current study is significant in reliably testing the relationship between SCM practices and OP; however, it is necessary to consider cultural assumptions, values and beliefs as the impact of OC on OP is greater than the impact of SCM practices. Based on the results, future studies should consider the moderating and mediating role of OC on the relationship between SCM practices and OP.
