BackgroundCommunity multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) represent a model of integrated care comprising health, social care, and the voluntary sector where members work collaboratively to coordinate care for those patients most at risk.AimThe evaluation will answer the question, ‘What are the enablers and what are the restrictors to the embedding of the case study MDT into the routine practice of the health and social care teams involved in the project?’MethodThe MDT was evaluated using a mixed-method approach with normalisation process theory as a methodological tool. Both quantitative and qualitative data were gathered through a questionnaire consisting of the NoMAD survey followed by free-form questions.ResultsThe concepts of the MDT were generally clear, and participants could see the potential benefits of the programme, though this was found to be lower in GPs. Certain professionals, particularly mental health and nursing professionals, found it difficult to integrate the MDT into normal working patterns because of a lack of resources. Participants also felt there was a lack of training for MDT working. A lack of awareness of evidence supporting the programme was shown particularly within management, GP, and nursing roles.ConclusionSpecific recommendations have been made in order to improve the MDT under evaluation. These include adjustments to IT systems and meeting documentation, continued education as to the purpose of the MDT, and the engagement of GPs to enable better buy-in. Recommendations were made to focus the agenda with specialist attendance when necessary, and to expand the MDT remit, particularly in mental health and geriatrics.

Goal: to analyze the influence of involvement with products focused on leisure and gastronomy - books, trips and wines - on the consumption practices of empty nest couples.Method: a triangulation of methods through exploratory (qualitative) and descriptive (quantitative) research, through in-depth interviewing techniques and questionnaires. For data analysis of the qualitative (content analysis) and the quantitative (descriptive statistics) research. At the time of analysis, the data is triangulated to arrive at the results.Originality / Relevance: is present in the application of the New Involvement Profile (NIP) scale, tested and adapted to the Brazilian reality by Fonseca (1999).Results: it is important to highlight that couples presented situational involvement with the investigated products; therefore, products have no relevant meaning and/or define couples’ lifestyle and self-concept. In addition, the consumer practices of empty nest couples reinforced their concern with keeping close bonds with their children.Theoretical and Methodological Implications: the application of the New Involvement Profile (NIP) scale is a contribution in this field, being adapted to the Brazilian context and to a specific segment - the empty nest couples.

The purpose of this paper is to review the two attributes, usability and architectural, in order to develop a usability brief for shopping mall asset enhancement initiative (AEI) project. An exploratory sequential mixed method approach is undertaken, with the initial phase, a qualitative study using secondary data and focus group with the facility management team. The output from the qualitative phase is used to prepare a survey of 89 items. A pilot study of 15 participants is carried out to validate reliability of the items using SPSS. The questionnaire items are found to be reliable; hence, the survey can be used as a tool to gauge a larger sample. This paper presents an overview of a doctoral research by the main author and it provides the initial concepts for the undertaking of the research study.

Abstract Buddhism is often said to be an environment-friendly religion, but this thesis is rarely investigated. In this paper, we employ a mixed-method approach to examine this thesis in the case of Taiwan. We use data from the Taiwan Social Change Survey (tscs) and apply qualitative content analysis to examine practices among major Taiwanese Buddhist organizations. The findings suggest: (1) Buddhists in Taiwan engage significantly more in environment-friendly behavior than other religious members, and (2) members of different Buddhist organizations display similar levels of engagement in environment-related behavior. However, (3) Buddhist organizations engage very differently in environment-related activities. (4) Buddhist organizations engage more in nonpolitical environmental activities than they do in politically sensitive ones, and (5) among the four major Buddhist organizations, female-led Buddhist organizations show a higher level of environment-related practices than male-led organizations.

This study aims at assessing the development of life skills among madrassa students. The study has employed a mixed-method approach to explore the life skills of madrassa students. A questionnaire based on 5-point Likert type scale was used to measure selfreported life skills of 300 madrassa students. In addition, 20 semi-structured interviews were also carried out with madrassa students to explore their life skills. The quantitative data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics and qualitative data was interpreted through thematic analysis. Findings have revealed that the strongest life skill which madrassa students possess amongst all is effective communication skill followed by problem solving and decision-making. The least developed skill of madrassa students is creative thinking. The study findings suggest re-designing the curriculum of madrassa education to provide the students with more opportunities to polish their life skills especially creative thinking.

The research study aimed to deliver a pedagogical perspective on the acquisition of Spanish writing and speaking skills. A research study prospect and methodological schemes in association with the objective of the study has been charted. The study has used the mixed method approach for the collection of data and its analysis. The outcome revealed that the acquisition of the Spanish language writing and speaking skills could be enhanced, empowered and partially retained as a result of using an array of approaches based on delivering phrases and sentence constructions into Spanish written and spoken dialogues and paragraph contexts. It also showed that this practice tends to infuse cognitive skills and developing language competences among Spanish language learners up beginner’s level whose second language is English. The present study is very valuable for Spanish/English bilingual language teachers to deliver assignments based on the acquisition of Spanish writing and speaking skills.

Employing a mixed method approach, this exploratory research study provides an account of the educational affordances derived from the use of a Facebook group for out-of-class, off-campus learning by undergraduate students enrolled at a private university in Hong Kong. Both quantitative and qualitative results indicate that social networking sites such as Facebook can indeed be exploited to generate various educational affordances favorable to off-campus informal learning and course management activities in the context of higher education in Hong Kong.

AbstractDrawing upon neo-institutional theory as the perspective for research on corporate governance, we present the results of empirical studies on compliance with best practice codes. We view the declarations of conformity as the organizational response to institutional pressure and address questions on (1) how companies respond to recommendations on board best practice and (2) how these reactions evolve over time. The study employs the mixed method approach and is based on a time-series sample of conformity declarations published by 126 companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange during the period 2006–2019. Descriptive statistics indicate an increase in the number of complying companies, an improvement in compliance quality and the growing length of conformity declarations. In the content analysis we identify two main reaction strategies (acceptance and rejection) with seven selected responses. We discuss the contribution to the existing literature on reactions to new practices in corporate governance.
