As a new field in the service industry, logistics is growing rapidly and is regarded as a fundamental industry in a national economy. Its development is an important symbol of a country’s modernization and national strength. It also works as an accelerator in economic development. At the initial stage of transforming traditional logistics service to a modern logistics service in China, logistics enterprises have encountered many difficulties and problems including an imbalanced supply and demand, distempered industrial structure, faultiness of serving process and backwardness of logistics technology since 2005.Compared with developed countries, there is a great gap between Chinese logistics enterprises and advanced countries’ in the aspects of service concepts, model, and content and techniques. Therefore, based on the service innovation driving model theory, the authors analyze the integrated innovation model of logistics enterprises, logistics technology and network model, and the value-added service model. The authors select Shenzhen China Overseas Logistics Co. LTD (COL) as the empirical object to analyze its operation of technology and non-technology innovation and summarize its inner and outer driving force on promoting service innovation.

Logistics is a newly developed field in the service industry; it is growing rapidly in the world and is regarded as the fundamental industry and artery in the national economy. The level of its development is an essential measurement for judging a country’s modernization level and overall national strength. It works as an accelerator in the economic development. As in the initial stage of transforming traditional logistics service to modern logistics service in China, logistics enterprises have encountered difficulties and problems including the imbalanced supply and demand for logistics service in the market, distempered industrial structure, faultiness of serving process and lagging of logistics technology, since 2005.Compared with the developed countries, there exists great gaps between the Chinese logistics enterprises and the advanced level in the aspects of service concepts, service model, service content and service techniques. So the authors analyze the innovation model integrated logistics, logistics technology and logistics network model, value-added service model, based on the service innovation driving force theoretic framework. At last, the authors selected Shenzhen China Overseas Logistics Co. LTD (COL) as the empirical objects to analyze its character of the technology and non-technology innovation, and summarize its inner and outer driving force on promoting the service innovation. Thereafter, the typical service innovative model based on innovative driving force has been discussed.

With the advent of e-commerce the logistics industry experienced a new never before seen high. Logistics is a great opportunity for service innovations and business growth in this time and age. This research study compared Thai and Indonesian logistics entrepreneurs in various dimensions including: customer satisfaction, service guarantee, service blueprint, pay by installment, product testing trial and the offering of additional services. Logistics has become a service industry with a service mind that follows a service blueprint. Those who do not adjust to the demands of the market and focus on customer satisfaction are left behind and miss out on the business growth opportunity. Indonesian logistics services are still reaching back to their colonial heritage and have to regroup and refocus while Thailand appears to be ahead of the game; even so Indonesia may have a greater transport volume in terms of export and ocean cargo. Thailand embraces the demand for new domestic logistic services like Grab and companies like Kerry carry more than their fare share focusing on warranties and guaranties something new in an industry and country who usually passes on the blame whenever they can. But in this case with logistics the innovative companies take responsibility. Keywords: business growth; entrepreneurs; logistics; service innovation

The food service industry has to continuously innovate; however, concerns have been raised regarding the issue of distinctive and customized innovation models. The study aimed at the general objective to investigate how non-technological food service innovation models create value in restaurants. The specific objective was to establish and explore the relationship between non-technological food service innovation models and value creation. The study used a cross-sectional descriptive survey research design which involved those hotel restaurants in Nairobi County that were registered with the Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA) as at 2016. Multistage stratified sampling—as well as purposeful and random sampling techniques—were used with a sample size of 385 respondents. Data collection instruments included questionnaires, interview guide, and observation-checklist, achieving a response rate of 82.9%. The coded data was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistical data analytical methods. Hypotheses were tested using multinomial regression, t-test and chi-square. Food service innovation model had no significant relationship with value creation in restaurants (p-value of 0.554). The study concludes that there is a need for a systematic procedure/model for developing non-technological food service innovations. To these end the study proposes a new food service innovation model with new variable such as consultation of professionals. This will enable an innovative organizational culture and lead to significant cost savings in the food service industry, among other benefits.

The development in the trade in services sector is an important way to achieve the transformation of foreign trade development mode of China. However, with the rapid growth of the total value of China's service trade, the export structure has been gradually optimized. The absolute value added of exports has increased rapidly and performed well in countries along the “One Belt And One Road” still, it is highly dependent on a few developed countries and low-technology industries. In particular, the value added rate has been at a low level for a long time, and the development mode of service trade urgently needs to be changed. Therefore, based on the identities of export value added, the marginal Contribution of each index to the Change of value added is measured by the decomposition of Shapley value. The results show that per Capita GDP is the main driving factor for the Change of value added and is relatively stable, but it has been surpassed by the services employment-population after the year of 2013; the Contribution of the national economies technology density and the technical strength of the export sector to the added value of service exports is slight and unstable, and there is a strong negative correlation between them. Therefore, increasing the export of services to the countries along the “Belt and Road”, enhancing the domestic business environment, and improving the quality of the employment-population in the service industry will help accelerate the transformation of China's service trade development mode.
