In the light of a diverse body of disorganized usage measures available and the difficulty of building a cumulative research tradition, a literature review is conducted on system use in Information Systems (IS) Acceptance through the two main theories of Technology Adoption, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and The Unified Theory of Use and Acceptance of Technology (UTAUT). The authors seek to understand how usage measures are being operationalised and proposed a preliminary classification of those measures that covers system and task aspects of use. A Q-Sort approach was taken to validate the authors’ classification scheme and the result indicates high inter-rater agreement. The ensuing classification is meant to help researchers in their choice of system use measures. This review also summarises the arguments for a multi-dimensional measure of use and establishes that omnibus measure such as frequency, volume and use/non-use hold prevalence. Finally, the authors provide recommendations for further research in the area of system use.

Purpose This paper aims to identify and empirically validate the various factors for adoption, usage and intention to recommend e-pharmacy for purchasing medications by consumers. Design/methodology/approach Based on constructs from well-established theoretical models, the technology acceptance model, extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and self-determination theory, a model was proposed for the study. The model was validated with a sample size of 184 respondents using partial least squares method and factor analysis to establish and validate relationships among the various identified constructs. Findings The results show that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and hedonic motivation have a positive co-relation with adoption of e-pharmacy and the intention to recommend. The results depict that gender and educational background have no correlation toward adoption and intention to recommend e-pharmacies for purchasing medicines in India. Research limitations/implications This research comes along with a geographic limitation of the sample size. The research was conducted in an urban suburb city of Bengaluru, India. Practical implications At an academic level, this research will provide interesting insights for exploring adoption and usage intention of consumers toward e-pharmacy. At a managerial level, this empirically supported study will provide insights into the relationship among the various constructs and the consumers’ motivation toward adoption and usage intention of e-pharmacy. Originality/value This research is the first of its form which uses constructs from the technology acceptance model, extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology and self-determination theory in the online healthcare space to understand consumer usage behavior.

One of the important things in university management is the selection process for new students. Management of new student admissions needs to be planned, communicated, and implemented properly to obtain new students who meet the quantity and quality targets. The selection process for new students must follow the rules contained in Permendikbud No. 3 of 2020 concerning National Standards for Higher Education in Indonesia. This study aims to develop a model for evaluating the new student selection portal that has been developed at Tarumanagara University under the name Go Untar, where the implementation refers to Permendikbud No. 3 of 2020. Go Untar has been used as a communication portal and selection of prospective new students since 2020. The method used in this study refers to the TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) model developed by Davis, 1985 and combined with the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology model (UTAUT) by Venkatesh et.al., 2003, to obtain a combination model to evaluate Go Untar. The results shows that the TAM API 2021 model, which was developed from the modification of the two TAM models above, can be used to analyze the effectiveness and convenience of Go Untar in the selection process for new students at Tarumanagara University. The results of the model application to evaluate Go Untar application show that Go Untar application is useful for registering new students quickly and effectively, as well as able to see accurate selection results. Go Untar is easily accessible and can be used properly as a medium of communication and selection of new students, starting from account creation, data entry process, selection, and real time selection results. Go Untar is effective in facilitating digital communication between prospective new students and administrators. The results of this study will be a reference in further development. Salah satu hal penting dalam pengelolaan perguruan tinggi adalah proses penerimaan mahasiswa baru. AbstractAn extended technology acceptance model for matchmaking tools in coworking spaces is presented and tested among 92 German coworkers. Advancing previous research, hedonic and community-related aspects are integrated into a framework based on the extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2). Coworkers emphasize a matchmaking tool’s productivity aspects, which are positively moderated by their sense of community. Hedonic motivation (HM) and personal innovativeness contribute to usage intention, while effort expectancy is not a driver. The influence of HM is negatively moderated by sense of community, suggesting that a favorable social atmosphere that is explorable in person acts as a partial substitute for the enjoyment of tool usage. Surprisingly, satisfaction with face-to-face activities does not affect their perception of a matchmaking tool.
