Compared with the free surface, the ruled surface is a linear set of parameters, and is obtained by a straight line moving in space along the curve trajectory, and tts modern processing methods are all complex and high cost. Spatial linkage mechanism has many features such as simple structure, easily control, sports continuous and so on, and the initiative crank continuous rotating drives the mechanism, at the same time, the rod length, the motion pair length or the twist angle is changed, which the cutter with start position fixed on a point of the rod main moves along the given curve, and feed moves straightly along the rod itself, so, the ruled surface was processed. The method is uncomplicated, and achieves high efficiency and high precision continuous line contact surface parts finishing, operating easily and saving cost.

Abstract. In this paper, a synthesis method is proposed for the 5-point-contact four-bar linkage that approximates a straight line with given angle parameters. The given parameters were the angles and the location of the Ball point. Synthesis equations were derived for a general Ball–Burmester point case, the Ball–Burmester point at an inflection pole, and the Ball point that coincided with two Burmester points, resulting in three respective groups of bar linkages. Next, taking Ball–Burmester point as the coupler point, two out of the three bar-linkage combinations were used to generate three four-bar mechanisms that shared the same portion of a rectilinear trajectory. Computation examples were presented, and nine cognate straight-line mechanisms were obtained based on the Roberts-Chebyshev theory. Considering that the given parameters were angles which was arbitrarily chosen, with the other two serving as the horizontal and vertical axes, so the solution region graphs of the solutions for three mechanism configurations were plotted. Based on these graphs, the distribution of the mechanism attributes was obtained with high efficiency. By imposing constraints, the optimum mechanism solution was straightforwardly identified by the designers. For the angular parameters prescribed in this paper, the solutions for three straight-line mechanism configurations were obtained, along with nine cognate straight-line mechanisms that shared the same portion of the rectilinear trajectory. All the fixed pivot installation locations and motion performances differed, thus providing multiple solutions to the trajectory of the synthesis of mechanisms.

The tooth surface of a face gear is recognized as un-developable ruled surface in tradition, which result in the problem that face gear generation using simple cutter with high efficiency and accuracy puzzled people for a long time. Applying the traditional shaping method for face gear generation in derivation of the tooth surface position vector, a space straight line equation was established by using this vector, to illustrate that the tooth surface of the traditional face gear could be considered as developable ruled surface constituted by space lines family, the position vectors of the developable ruled surface were established respectively based on involute, rack and considering the spatial position relationship in meshing. Elaboration and proposition of the principle and method that were used to generate the face gear with the developable ruled surface by straight edged cutter in line contact, and representation of the generated surface model. Furthermore the developable ruled surface was compared to the traditional surface, the normal difference between the two kinds of surfaces is on micro-scale. Numerical examples shows that the normal distance is no more than 1/70 of modulus, the developable ruled surface to which was performed simple longitudinal crowning is able to mesh with the involute surface of the pinion correctly, and demonstrates acceptable geometric meshing performance.

Multiphase flow mixed microbubble generator (MFMMG) is an effective generator and has many advantages, such as simple structure, easy maintain, small, high efficiency, and so on. The paper found out the important influences for performance of MFMMG and analyzed them. The experiment showed that the analysis is correct and efficient. The paper will be useful for analyzing and designing microbubble generators.

Heavy truck cab manual oil pump consumes more time and strength. Using tilting motor can produce larger tilting force for reversing the heavy truck cab and improve the tilting efficiency. The power of tilting motor, permanent magnet, armature plate and winding parameters are optimized on the basis of analyzing the cab tilting system works and the characteristics of the permanent magnet DC motor. The designed Nb-Fe-B PM DC motor is small volume, light weight high efficiency, simple structure and reliable operation characteristics, which can improve the security of tilting device of the heavy truck cab.

Приводятся результаты моделирования сверхскоростного буфера тактовых сигналов, выполненного на базе арсенид-галлиевых n-канальных транзисторов в среде OrCAD и полностью отвечающего следующим требованиям: высокие технические характеристики, малые размеры, высокая частота и КПД, гибкость применения. Приведенные поведенческие модели допускают использование любой программной среды по схемотехническому моделированию. The results of simulation of an ultra-high-speed clock signal buffer based on gallium arsenide n-channel transistors in OrCAD are presented, which fully meets the following requirements: high technical characteristics, application flexibility, low cost, small size, high frequency, and high efficiency. The given behavioral models allow the use of any software environment for circuit modeling.

According to the characteristics of the dynamic force of jet elements, a kind of simple pendulum test system was presented. The dynamic jet force value was obtained indirectly by the acceleration value of the jet element under its force. The mathematic model of the test system was established and the test errors of the amplitude and delay time were analyzed. A processing method of dynamic force test data was presented based on the test curve and the parameters of amplitude and delay time were obtained. The result indicates that the test method can satisfy the testing requirements of dynamic force and it has advantages of simple structure, low demands of testing condition and simple method of data processing.

Adaptive Resonance Theory (ART) model is a special neural network based on unsupervised learning which simulates the cognitive process of human. However, ART1 can be only used for binary input, and ART2 can be used for binary and analog vectors which have complex structures and complicated calculations. In order to improve the real-time performance of the network, a minimal structural ART is proposed which combines the merits of the two models by subsuming the bottom-up and top-down weight. The vector similarity test is used instead of vigilance test. Therefore, this algorithm has a simple structure like ART1 and good performance as ART2 which can be used for both binary and analog vector classification, and it has a high efficiency. Finally, a gas turbine fault diagnosis experiment exhibits the validity of the new network.

A wind-driven feeding mechanism of high efficiency is designed according to the TRIZ theory and its mechanical structure innovative design based on the principle of energy conversion. It aims at delivering of small granular, cylindrical, flakes and other materials in machinery, pharmaceuticals, electronics and other industries by transmission mechanism such as the typical gear mechanism and linkage mechanism. The prototype is produced combined with the specific parameters of the common materials. The modular innovative design is adopted, including the transmission module, driver module and material feeding module. By the inspection of the actual operation, each design module of the produced prototype is stable and reliable. At the same time the effect of material transportation is good.

This paper considers optimal synthesis of a four-bar linkage by method of controlled deviations. The advantage of this approximate method is that it allows control of motion of the coupler in the four-bar linkage so that the path of the coupler is in the prescribed environment around the given path on the segment observed. The Hooke-Jeeves?s optimization algorithm has been used in the optimization process. Calculation expressions are not used as the method of direct searching, i.e. individual comparison of the calculated value of the objective function is made in each iteration and the moving is done in the direction of decreasing the value of the objective function. This algorithm does not depend on the initial selection of the projected variables. All this is illustrated on an example of synthesis of a four-bar linkage whose coupler point traces a straight line, i.e. passes through sixteen prescribed points lying on one straight line. .

The fairbody, chine and sheer lines of a proposed vessel are represented by cubic spline functions. Between each pair of chine lines that ruled surface is generated which has the same tangent plane at all points of each generator or ruling line. A procedure based on the multiconic development of a surface is used to modify the given chine lines to ensure that no ruling lines intersect at a point within the surface. The result is a developable hull surface. A simple method is suggested for fairing the modified chine lines and the steps necessary to generate tables of offsets from ruling-line intercepts are outlined briefly.
