Numerical Analysis of Temperature Field in Laser Cladding on Teeth Surfaces of Gear Shaft

Temperature field of laser cladding on teeth surfaces of gear shaft was numerical simulated with finite element analysis software – ANSYS. The simulation result show that the heat caused by laser beam is concentrated inside the tooth mostly. An effect of preheating in the adjacent tooth is also brought about by injected laser energy. In order to make use of the effect of preheating and avoid the concentration of heat, all of the corresponding flanks of teeth should be cladded first and the other flanks of teeth be cladded secondly in the process of laser cladding. It is also shown that the problems of excessive melted down and collapsing of tooth-tip would be easily resulted in by the heat that concentrated in tooth-tip if the tooth-side and tooth-tip be cladded at the same time. The results of analysis and experiment show that at least two times of scanning should be executed in the process of laser cladding on teeth surfaces. At the first scanning, dimension of laser beam should be reduced properly. And the tooth-tip should not be irradiated directly by laser beam. After the first scanning, the gear should be circumrotated a certain angle. And the included angles between the two sides of tooth-tip and horizontal plane should be approximately equal. Then the second scanning could be prosecuted at the tooth-tip. Experiment results show that continuous and compact cladding coat could be gained by this craft. It is proved that this technological craft is reasonable and effective.

We explore a simulation model of drilling micro-hole in sticking plaster heated with a dual CO2 laser beam. This paper applied numerical simulation of temperature by using finite element analysis software Ansys to study a model of drilling on sticking plaster. A dual CO2 laser spot sizes ranged from 0.15 to 0.2mm radius with axial irradiance power levels of 50-100w. For temperatures above 450°C, sticking plaster would be vaporized. The size of ventilation holes changed with beam power and laser spot diameter. The width of the hole is increases with the increasing laser diameter and with the increasing laser power. These results can guide to laser drilling experiments.

Residual stress affect the lifetime of weldments directly. Temperature Generated from the welding process is the major reason that influences the microstructure and mechanical properties of the metal weldments. Therefore it is necessary to simulate the temperature field for optimizing the structure of weldments. In this work the three-dimension finite element analysis software SYSWELS was used to simulate T-type tube, and carried on a detailed analysis of temperature field and residual stress in cool process of weld.

Piston of cam engines for torpedo works in terrible condition and always be caused fatigue breakdown by thermal load. In this paper, the thermal boundary condition of different piston parts are ascertained, such as the crown surface of piston and high-temp gas, the side of piston and cooling water, and the skirt of piston and cooling oil. Then the piston’s temperature field is obtained by using the finite element analysis software. This result provides the practical reference for further improving the structure and optimizing the design of the piston. Keywords: cam engine; piston; heat-transfer coefficient; temperature field.

ANSYS finite element analysis software is used to simulate the changes of maximum lateral displacement of the high-formwork support system in different sequences of pouring concrete. In the condition of loading which was applied from one side to the other side, the maximum lateral displacement of the frame had a sudden increase in each loading process. In the condition of loading which was applied symmetrically, the maximum lateral displacement of the high-formwork steadily rising nearly straight with the load applied. So the symmetrical pouring concrete ways is better for the whole stability of the high-formwork.

A numerical simulation model of laser cladding based on internal powder feeding through a hollow laser beam is set up by the Ansys Parametric Design Language (APDL). Through analyzing this model, the saddle-shaped distribution of energy absorbed in scanning direction is found and the molten pool temperature field of single laser cladding is observed like a comet[. Base on the single laser cladding experiments, the initial parameters and test plans of laser cladding and the screwy thin-walled part forming are confirmed. The finite element model of laser cladding forming screwy thin-walled part is established. The evolution of temperature field and thermal cycle of the nodes are studied during the screwy thin-walled part forming process. In the emulation laser power is controlled real time according to the analyses above, and the changing value of laser power is obtained to keep the molten pool temperature steady. The screwy thin-walled part is formed successfully based on these data.

This paper took flat butt joint based on Cr13 as a sample, in which TIG and MAG were adopted respectively, and analyzed qualitatively the simulation results of temperature field, stress field and deformation distribution by the finite element analysis software ANSYS. The simulating results indicate that residual transverse press stress plays a dominant role near the beginning and the end of the welding seam, that residual longitudinal pull stress is dominant in the other region of welding seam. The residual stress of MAG is higher than that of TIG. Nevertheless, the deformation of MAG is lower than that of TIG.

The generation of heat source of high efficiency linear pumping unit was analyzed. The calculation method of motor loss and heat dissipation coefficient was given. The finite element analysis software was used to simulate and analyze the temperature field of the linear pumping unit in the phase of constant motion and the starting and reversing phase. According to the analysis, it was concluded that the reasonable optimization of linear motor cooling structure can ensure the good temperature characteristics.

Pulleys and bushing have different linear expansion coefficient, relatively sliding may occur between them when hated, therefore, we have to ensure that there's enough interference volume within pulleys and bushing. First of all, using simplify numerical method calculated theoretical extreme temperature, then taking simulate analysis with ABAQUS finite element analysis software, through the change of CPRESS and COPEN in different temperature field, extract the extremely working temperature of aluminum pulleys. and then determined the limitation and cooperation relationships by comparison.

In view of the importance in the national industry of PVC,the subject of the PVC polymerization stirred tank uses finite element analysis software (ANSYS) of the thermodynamic analysis,mainly for the temperature field analysis.By observing the displacement vector image and temperature,the heat transfer capacity is enough, and the heat transfer component selection is reasonable.
