Smart substation is the tendency of the evolutionary substation in the future and is one key parts of smart grid. The Technical guide for smart substation is published by State Gird Corporation of China for the construction of smart substation. This paper recounts the differences from substation and smart substation, describes the system architecture of smart substation, characteristic of smart equipment and monitors the status of smart equipment. Base on the automation and communication technology, it research on the applications of smart equipment and information technology in smart substation of China. Finally, it prospects the application of smart substation.

With the development of communication technology, the communication network present many characteristics, such as unified standard, flatten structure and diversified services. As a special form of communication network, power communication network has higher requirements on intelligent, stability, reliability and real-time. In order to better support smart grid, we analyzed the current communication network at first. On this basis, the converged power communication network is proposed from two aspects: communication technology and network architecture. Moreover, typical technology route and network architecture is also given in the convergence background. The conclusion is that the converged network can solve problems of the current independent network, and it is an inevitable evolution direction of the future.

Entering the XXI century and especially in the period of the industrial revolution has entered the era of IT with the knowledge economy in the trend of globalization. The 4.0 mankind development of ICT, especially the Internet has had a strong impact and make changes to all activities profound social life of every country in the world. Through surveys in six high School, interviewed 85 managers and teachers on the status of the management of information technology application in teaching, author of the article used the SWOT method to distribute surface strength, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges from which to export 7 management measures consistent with reality. 7 measures have been conducting trials and the results showed that 07 measures of necessary and feasible.

This study explored the underlying processes associated with the policy of increasing qualified physical education teachers (QPETs) in Singapore primary schools. Data were collected from the National Archives of Singapore, Newslink, NewpaperSG and documents. An ‘archaeological analysis’ by Foucault (1972) was used to trace the discursive conditions which enabled and facilitated the policy. Three distinct elements were borrowed from ‘The Archaeology of Knowledge and the Discourse on Language’, namely: the status – as reflected in the positions of individuals influencing the PE policies and initiatives; the institutional sites – as in the locations of the decisions being exercised, and; the situation – identified by the key events leading to the decision to increase QPETs in primary schools. The conclusions based on the analysis of these elements offer a clearer understanding of the various contributions to the adoption of the policy and serve to provide an insightful lens to policymakers who might seek to redesign the future shape of Physical Education.

The financial system is one of the primary users of information technology, which in recent decades has experienced phenomenal progress. This chapter discusses how information and communication technology has changed the financial system, and what policy challenges arise from the interactions of information technology progress and financial innovation. I focus on the asset management and banking industries. In the case of asset management, progress in information technology has partially transformed the industry, and potentially made it more efficient. In the case of banking, the industry has been changed profoundly, has grown significantly, but at the same time it has become more fragile. The chapter discusses the implications of these phenomena for policymaking.

Consultancy was central to the field of futures studies from its inception. For futurists, consultancy was a form of militancy—a potentially world altering expertise that could bypass politics and also escaped the boring halls of academia.
