This paper presents the Metrics Monitoring Tool (MMT) that was developed in university graduate and undergraduate courses on software project work in 2014-2016. The tool aims to support project members, project managers and upper management in reporting and monitoring software and project metrics for their easier and more effective utilization. The paper covers the development process of the tool, evaluation assessment, its current composition and features. The paradigm applied in this study is Design Science Research and the methods for evaluation include prototype, expert evaluation, case study and technical experiment. Data was collected from the tool users by two questionnaires. As a result, MMT was evaluated to ease the metrics handling, while several aspects related to the richness of functionalities and usability still require further development.

Designing of mining exclusive electronic circuit, safety for work environment is vital and important. The system devices contained transmitter block, which are containing computer monitoring software and internet modem. The other one is receiver block which is included explosive circuit and their components (i.e., a digital component mobile phone, ICs, and detector). To control the operation steps process used software program written with C++ language. The system was successfully built and designed. Besides that, it could capabilities of components set in the designed circuit. Moreover, the circuit and their components were operated carefully according to program sequence. The results are achieved the general objectives of the research. Also, it was match standards, specified in national standards for performances and appearances of such devices.

Abstract: A high-performance network is a necessary component of any company's IT infrastructure. All operations, including internal and external communication across different corporate sites, as well as communication with clients and partners, should operate smoothly to enable smooth business activities. Failures and malfunctions in operational procedures can easily result in lost time and money. In order to maintain track of the availability, performance, and bandwidth utilization in an IT network, network monitoring software that continuously monitors operations in the network, does analysis, and warns IT workers as soon as an error happens or critical values are surpassed is highly recommended. If the administrator is not on site, network monitoring allows him or her to intervene swiftly, even if he or she is not there. Of course, each firm has unique requirements for a network monitoring solution, and with so many tools and solutions on the market, careful selection of an appropriate solution is essential. This paper discusses the different alternatives that a network solution can provide provided the appropriate criteria are taken into account during the decision-making process. Keywords: Network, Network Monitoring Tools, IT infrastructure, Open Source

This paper introduces a device to support lower extremity rehabilitation for stroke patients. First, the device's mechanical structure has been presented; the device has a simple structure and fully meets the exercise function for the patient. The equipment is controlled by control and monitoring software, which is designed from Visual Basic software. The control circuit is the Arduino 2560 circuit, responsible for receiving the angle sensor signal and measuring the current during operation. In addition, the control circuit provides control signals to the actuator and communicates with the software using the rs232 cable. Next, the mathematical model of the device has been established, and we use MatLab software to simulate the response of the device to the PID controller. Simulation results for fast response time and slight overshoot. Finally, an experiment on volunteers was conducted, the results showed that the device was stable and safe to operate. Thus, the RHleg device has been successfully designed and manufactured, tested on volunteers with good results, and this is the basis for us to continue moving towards patient testing.

Abstract Batteries are an important part of contemporary automobiles. With the increase in the output of family cars and the development of science and technology, the demand for batteries in the automotive market is increasing rapidly. A major problem with existing car batteries is that it is difficult for users to obtain information about the current battery power in real time, especially when driving away from vehicles and cars, there are huge safety hazards; therefore, a real-time monitoring of car battery power is researched. The system has important practical significance.

Abstract The paper introduces the design of gasoline generator inverter. First of all, I made a simple introduction to the gasoline generator, and a detailed description of the inverter circuit respectively. Then the hardware and software design process of the system are described in detail. In the process of hardware design, I designed the whole circuit and each module, and made a printed circuit board. During the software design process, MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) is used to design an monitoring software of inverter. The software communicates with the main chip through a serial port to obtain and display the status of the inverter and set the parameters of the inverter. Finally, the test of the whole system is completed. The design has the advantages of good output waveform, comprehensive protection measures, low power consumption and low cost.

AbstractThe transition from an urban brownfield to a sustainable neighbourhood is a complex operation. To help decision-makers reach sustainability objectives through measurement, follow-up, and communication about performance indicators, we introduce in this chapter a tailor-made operational monitoring tool. Such a tool should satisfy three general requirements: a search for overall quality, adequacy with the specificities of urban brownfield regeneration projects, and integration into the project dynamics. Accordingly, the multi-criteria evaluation system SIPRIUS and the quality management monitoring software OKpilot are hybridized to create SIPRIUS+. In the first section, we explain the functioning of the two existing methodologies and the adaptions we made to help meet the general requirements and to create the hybrid tool. Then, we present the resulting monitoring tool, SIPRIUS+, and its functionalities.

Purpose This paper aims to identify the factors that motivate parents to adopt internet monitoring software (aka parental control software [PCS]) to curb problematic internet usage and safeguard their children online. By doing so, the authors are able to curb problematic internet usage and keep children safe online. Design/methodology/approach An online survey was conducted using a representative sample of 330 parents in the USA with children ages 10 to 15. Results were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings This research combines two theories, namely, technology acceptance model (TAM) and protection motivation theory (PMT) to factors that motivate parents to adopt internet monitoring software to help their children. Perceived severity, perceived vulnerability from PMT and personal innovativeness (PI) from TAM, which is related to self-efficacy and the belief that future technologies will require less effort to adopt, are key factors that influence parents’ perceived usefulness of PCS. Perceived usefulness and PI both positively predict parents’ purchase intention for internet monitoring software. Practical implications The study establishes that there are personal, technology and situational factors that motivate the adoption of PCS. These determinants have implications for how marketers identify potential users and how they might improve the promotion of internet monitoring technologies. Originality/value The paper extends the application of the technology acceptance model and PMT to predict technology adoption aimed at helping others. Findings show that personal and perceptual factors motivate parents’ adoption of internet monitoring software to curb problematic internet usage and keep children safe online. This paper is the first to combine the technology acceptance model and PMT to explain the adoption of software solutions to protect others online. By doing so, a more thorough account of parents’ technology adoption to protect their children is offered.
