In power supply enterprises, providing intelligent service for the residential users is a very crucial approach to increase the customer satisfaction. Taking the demand of residential users as the center, analyze the basic design goal of the intelligence service system and the functions of four subsystems. This paper apply the SOA design idea in building the frame structure of the intelligent service system in power supply enterprises, and the content of every layer in this frame structure is introduced. Then the safe electricity utilization expert system, which belongs to a newly built service, is given an explanation on. Through this intelligent service system, it is convenient for the power supply enterprises to provide users with accurate, efficient, on-demand, proactive and security intelligence services. The application of SOA design idea can make more efficient use of the existing resources and also can make the system have good extensibility, to lay a foundation for the future development of intelligence service in the power supply enterprises.

The increasing number of Internet of Things (IoT) devices with various sensors has resulted in a focus on Cloud-based sensing-as-a-service (CSaaS) as a new value-added service, for example, providing temperature-sensing data via a cloud computing system. However, the industry encounters various challenges in the dynamic provisioning of on-demand CSaaS on diverse sensor networks. We require a system that will provide users with standardized access to various sensor networks and a level of abstraction that hides the underlying complexity. In this study, we aim to develop a cloud-based solution to address the challenges mentioned earlier. Our solution, SenseCloud, includes asensor virtualizationmechanism that interfaces with diverse sensor networks, amultitenancymechanism that grants multiple users access to virtualized sensor networks while sharing the same underlying infrastructure, and adynamic provisioningmechanism to allow the users to leverage the vast pool of resources on demand and on a pay-per-use basis. We implement a prototype of SenseCloud by using real sensors and verify the feasibility of our system and its performance. SenseCloud bridges the gap between sensor providers and sensor data consumers who wish to utilize sensor data.

A 60kV/6kW full-digital high voltage power supply for electronic beam welder (EBW) is designed. The power is composed of DSP, CPLD, IPM etc. It has realized the automatic adjustment of high voltage, over-voltage and over-current protection, and rapid recovery from high voltage self-discharge. The test proves that high voltage power supply has reached design goal and satisfied the actual requirements of welding technology.

The scientifically substantiated principles of development of technology of operation of electric systems with traction loads by condition and minimum expenses during their life cycle for urban electric transport are developed. Saving quality criteria that determine resource conservation are generalized. It is proposed to expand the functions of tram wagon laboratories to measure the basic quality criteria. The scheme of expert system for analysis of the state of power supply devices and development of control effects in the analytical centers of control systems is developed. The scientifically grounded principles of the development of the technology of operation of electric systems with traction loads on the state and minimum expenses in the course of their life cycle, in particular the concept of maintenance of power supply devices on the basis of their diagnostics and monitoring, a complex automated system of diagnostics of the contact network and current collectors, means of improving quality scratching and reducing the wear of the contact wire, which collectively solves the problem of resource conservation and allows reducing operating costs 1.5–2 times. Generalized current quality criteria that determine resource conservation. It is established and experimentally confirmed that the basic criteria for the state of the contact network are contact pressing and the coefficients of reliability and economy of current flow. It is proposed to expand the functions in the field of measuring the basic criteria for servicing the contact network by state. The information technologies of an estimation of a condition of power supply devices during their operation on the basis of synthesis of two sources of information are offered: real-time diagnostics and simulation modeling. A generalized scheme of the expert system for analysis of the status of power supply devices and development of control effects in the analytical centers of control systems has been developed. Keywords: electric transport, traction substations, traction networks, diagnostics and operation, technologies, energy efficiency, resource saving.

This article examines recent amendments to the Intelligence Services Act 2001 (Cth) ( IS Act). The amendments provide Australian Secret Intelligence Service staff and agents with additional protection from Australian criminal prosecution when using force under certain circumstances in overseas jurisdictions. The authors assert that while well-intentioned, and despite new and existing oversight provisions, the amendments allow pre-emptive use of force that could potentially be used to justify carrying out extraterritorial killings of Australians and foreign nationals, thereby breaching the lawful boundaries of Australian Secret Intelligence Service’s functions.

Disk-shaped torque sensors are widely used in robotic joints and wheel driving. However, in terms of conventional spoke-type geometries, there is always a trade-off between sensitivity and stiffness, because their strain exposure depends upon a bending deformation mode which causes strain nonuniformity. This paper presents a lever-type method of strain exposure that performs a uniaxial tension and compression deformation mode to optimize the strain uniformity and improve the trade-off. Moreover, on the basis of this approach, the proposed disk F-shaped torque sensor enjoys has axial thinness, easy installation of strain gauges and flexible customization. The simulation and experimental results have validated the basic design idea.

With the acceleration of global aging, the service of the aged has been widely concerned by the whole society. The traditional service mode has been challenged, and it is difficult to meet the needs of the aged. In order to provide better services for the aged, the construction of emotional intelligent service based on Internet of things is proposed in this article. First, the framework is introduced, and the architecture of the whole system is given. Second, the key technologies of emotional intelligence and Internet of things are described, which mainly include affective computing and data collection of Internet of things. Third, the implementation of the software and hardware is given, and the core functional modules are analyzed. As a whole, there are two main contributions of this article. One is to give the framework of emotional intelligence service system for the aged based on Internet of things, and the other is to analyze the emotional state and the physical data of the aged so that the early-warning and intelligent services can be provided for them.
