The verification test method on DTS system for power cable conductor-temperature calculation accuracy is described in this paper. The DTS temperature measure accuracy and positional accuracy are tests firstly. During the test a power cable laying in tunnel and applying different load currents ,the conductor-temperature measured value and the DTS system calculated value were compared. Testing process are employs the T-type thermocouple for conductor-temperature measure. DTS system calculates the conductor-temperature according to load current, over-sheath temperature etc. The difference between measured and calculated value were analyzed and compared, that was used for verify the accuracy of the power cable conductor temperature calculated by the DTS system.

AbstractIn this study, we investigate the production of hypolipidemic agents in the form of Acipimox sustained-release tablets, using a wet pelleting process. The purpose of this research is to reduce the total intake time for patients and to lower the initial dose in such that the adverse reactions could be reduced. This study adopts the single-factor method and orthogonal experiments by using hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose (HPMC K15M) as the main sustained-release prescription composition. The final prescription is Acipimox 20%, HPMC K15M 26.67%, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose 30%, polyethylene glycol (PEG 6000) 1%, ethyl cellulose 16.6%, lactose 4.67% and magnesium stearate 1%. The dissolution of tablets reached 85.88% in 8 h. The difference in the weight, hardness and friability of the tables met the requirements in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia; to test the stability, a temperature and illumination accelerated test method was used, the results indicate that the Acipimox sustained-release tablets should be sealed and stored in a dark, cool area. A preliminary study on the tablets’ releasing mechanism showed that their release curve fitted the Higuchi model (the formula is Mt/M∞ = 31.137 t1/2–3.605 (R2 = 0.9903)). The Acipimox tablets’ release principle is dominated by the diffusion mechanism.

In this paper, test method was used to study the distribution of cutting force while blade machined with 4-axis and 5-axis NC program. The main difference between the two program was given. The difference of machining forms between 4-axis and 5-axis has led to their cutting forces distribution were different. The change of cutting force in 4-axis machining was large while the 5-axis machining was relatively stable. 5-axis cutting force had no impact comparing with 4-axis, which is more suitable for blade machining.

The paper focuses on the influence of the standard test method applied to determine the concrete stabilized secant modulus on a specified value. The new European Standard EN 12390-13 for testing hardened concrete accepts two methods (A and B) for the determination of the secant modulus of elasticity in compression. The aim of the research was to establish how different testing procedures affect a measured value of modulus of elasticity. Four structural concrete series: two lightweight aggregate concretes and two normal-weight ones were subject to tests of moduli of elasticity determined by both standard methods, as well as compressive strength and density. The carried out tests revealed that the procedure of testing modulus of elasticity influenced a measured value. Method A led to higher values of modulus in relation to Method B, irrespective of concrete density and strength. Nevertheless, a certain relationship between the concrete structure homogeneity and the difference in results of moduli determined by both methods may be observed.

Two kinds of beam specimens made of composite laminated panel were designed and used to do vibration fatigue test for ε-N curves. the shapes of various simulated joint configurations for the specimens were adopted in order to get the accurate results. They were two kinds of double-cantilever beams supplied by T-mode stiffener and L-mode stiffener. All beam specimens were tested under the same shape of narrowband spectrum and the several loadings of random vibration by shaker excitation. The bandwidth of the narrowband random spectrum was 1/3 octave bandwidth whose centre frequency was the first resonance frequency of the cantilever beam, so that it reduced influences of the difference of specimens resonance frequency. Fitting vibration fatigue test results, the ε-N curves would be obtained then. The vibration test shows that this method of getting ε-N vibration curve is feasible. It can be used in practice.

A case study of ageing on XLPE conductor insulation of 20kV primary distribution feeder is presented in this paper. The insulation degradation mainly occurred around conductor tie where the conductor is attached to the post insulator. A section of distribution feeder with defects on the conductor insulation has been examined for this study. Potential losses due to presence of discharges have been investigated by measuring the difference current at locations of the affected conductor. Temperature measurements of the insulation surface have also been carried out. Provisional maintenance procedures were introduced to eliminate the discharges. Measurements of current and surface temperature were repeated nine months after completion of the maintenance work. Results indicated that the discharges have been completely disappeared.

This paper offers a new approach to analyses of cycloconverter operation. The difference equations describing the cycloconverters' transient and steady-state operating regimes are derived. Theoretical predictions were validated by a computer program which calculated the load current of different cycloconverter topologies using the proposed methodology. The calculated and experimental results are compared and found to be in good agreement.

In recent years, many attempts are being made to develop new lubrication coatings for cold forging. In general, an alternative coating is designed based on the results of the evaluation methods that simulate the frictional condition of cold forging. Various evaluation methods have been proposed and used to design an alternative coating according to the processing purpose. However a lot of parts are manufactured by the multistage forging machine such as parts forming machine, complex shape being produced recently by combined processing. A lubrication coating in such an environment is exposed to repeatedly in a variety of processing modes, and received serious damage. At present the performance of an alternative coating isn’t enough to satisfy needs of market in such a multistep forging. Development of lubricant that can satisfy such demands needs a new evaluation method. This comes the purpose of this study. An newly devised tribometer consists of an ironing process after upsetting process. We designed this test method by using finite element(FE) analysis. In upsetting, damage to the lubrication coating is given by the expansion of free surface. In ironing, the performance of lubrication coating destroyed by upsetting is evaluated. By using the upsetting-ironing type tribometer, the lubrication performance under a large surface expansion and a high pressure can be evaluated. In addition, the degree of coating damage can be adjusted by changing upset ratio and height of billet. The difference in the lubrication performance of the bonderised and the prototype alternative coating was examined by this evaluation method.
