For the characteristic of the high oxidation ratio and the high intergrowth ratio,the copper ore belongs to a kind of refractory ore.It could not get qualified concentrate and high recovery with the traditional flowsheet and general reagent system.In the case of stable grade of copper concentrate,the recovery of copper using composite reagent system could have a reasonably improve,which could reach to 84.49% at the copper concentrate grade of Cu 20.91%.

The copper oxide ore is high oxidation ratio and the high combination ratio with a low grade of Cu 0.71%. Copper concentrate of Cu 15.02% with a recovery of 38.55% was obtained by flotation. The optimum acid leaching conditions were investigated. Effects of lixiviant concentration, solid-to-liquid ratio, leaching time were investigated. The acid leaching efficiency was 78.75% relative to flotation tailings. By the combination of flotation and acid leaching flotation tailings, most of the Cu in the minerals can be enriched, the total recovery of copper reached 86.85%.

Through the processing of mineralogical study on a copper ore from Jilin province in China, it found that the copper exist mostly with the form of chalcopyrite, and others exist with the form of copper oxide minerals which with complex ingredient. The copper oxide minerals are due to the altered of the edge of chalcopyrite, and have not formed the independent copper oxide ore. It belongs to unconventional hard-to-beneficiate copper ore. Coarse grinding fineness and bulk floatation was used to recover the copper oxide ore and copper sulfide ore by using amino double phosphoric acid and butylamine dithiophosphate as the collector. This process was similar to the carrier flotation and achieved an effective processing of the copper oxide ore and obtained a high-grade copper concentrate assaying 15.8% with a high recovery of 82.4%.

The mineral processing flow sheet and reagent system of flotation copper minerals from a large copper-iron deposit in Yunnan were fully investigated. The results indicate that the optimum conditions for flotation of copper minerals from the material were identified as grinding fineness of 85%, dosage of CaO at 2000g/t , dosage of Na2S at 200 g/t, dosage of butyl xanthate 40g/t. Under such a condition, a copper recovery of 88.17% with a concentrate grade of 26.86% was achieved from the material using a closed circuit flow sheet of "one-stage roughing flotation, one-stage cleaning flotation and one-stage scavenging flotation.

Experimental investigation was conducted on a low-grade copper ore in Tajikistan with grade of 0.89% and oxidation rate of 99%, which belongs to refractory oxide copper with low-grade and high oxidation rate. According to the property of process mineralogy, using vulcanization xanthate flotation process, determined once rough concentration, three times cubic concentration and three times scavenger concentration process, eventually obtained copper concentrate with grade of 15.26% and recovery rate of 85.90%.

A kind of high oxidation rate and complex to concentrate copper oxide ore has been studied. The run-of-mine grade of Copper was 2.54%, with the oxidation rate of 79.13%. And the grade of Silver was 80g/t. The optimal grinding fineness was about to 71%. Use the best reagent combination which obtained by condition test, the final results was that the grade of Copper concentrate was 15.20% and the recovery rate was 56.85%, included silver 793.50 g/t.

The present study aims to characterize the copper ore from east area of Yunnan province. The results indicate that the ores is a representative low grade and and ultra-fine-grained ore. As a result, a suitable flotation flow i.e. “ultrafine grinding- sulphidizing and dispersing - bulk flotation with low dosage collector” was presented for processing of eligible copper concentrate with high recovery and the main factors i.e. grinding fineness, regulators types and dosage and collector dosage affecting the indexes of roughing concentration was investigated. As a result, a close-circuit flotation test scheme was proceeded, which obtained a high quality copper concentrate with Cu grade of 25.12%, copper recovery of 87.63%. This index is successful in the aim of recovery copper for such mixed copper ore.

A task of a refractory oxide copper ore in Yunnan has been studied, the grade of copper is 2.76% in crude ore. This ore has high oxidation and deep combination, the oxidation ratio is 42.32% and the combination ratio is 33.01%, so it is difficult oxide copper. Because the sulfide copper in crude ore containing 21.27%, so by experimental research, we decided to adopt the process of floating copper sulfides, and then sulfide oxide copper. In the flotation of oxidized copper minerals, we take the process of desliming, the copper minerals have recycled efficiently, while making a small precious metal--silver has been associated enrichment. Through closed-circuit test, we obtained the final concentrate, which the grade of copper is 20.38%, the recovery of copper is 65.44% and the grade of silver is 80.15g/t.

A beneficiation experimental research is conducted on sulfur-containing 18.17% multi-metals tailings. On the basis of the traditional mineral processing technology, it introduces X-51, a new type sulfide mineral activator, to instead of copper sulfate. Eventually, the sulfur concentrate grade is 47.51% with the recovery of 92.11%. The effectively recovery of the sulfur is creating good economic benefits and environmental benefit.

The experimental ore belongs to high-sulfur Cu-Zn poly-metallic ore, the mineral composition of ore is complex, cupriferous pyrite most are disseminated. The Cu grade of raw ore is 0.76%, Zn grade is 1.48% and S about 25.02%. on the basis of best reagent system and control flotation time, the author did closed circuit process. the results of closed circuit process as follows: the copper concentrate grade is 20.35% and recovery rate is 86.081%; the zinc concentrate grade is 54.32% and recovery rate is 84.20%.
