This paper designs a spatial data-centric tour and charging scheduler for electric vehicles, which need energy-efficient route planning, especially when visiting multiple destinations, due to their short driving range. Basically, the hybrid orienteering problem solver finds a feasible tour schedule for mandatory user-selected tour spots and optimal system-recommended charging spots, aiming at reducing the waiting time and meeting the given constraint. To recommend essential candidates, our system manages the information on tour spots and charging facilities in the spatial database, adjusting the bounding box size according to the pre-analysis result. The pre-analysis module can implement a sophisticated recommendation logic based on the preprocessed data customized mainly from geographic analysis. In addition, by continuously updating the current status of each charger, the recommender can catch the installation of new charging facilities and exclude the failed or overbooked chargers.

Aiming to provide an approach for finding energy-efficient routes in dynamic and stochastic transportation networks for electric vehicles, this paper addresses the route planning problem in dynamic transportation network where the link travel times are assumed to be random variables to minimize total energy consumption and travel time. The changeable signals are introduced to establish state-space-time network to describe the realistic dynamic traffic network and also used to adjust the travel time according to the signal information (signal cycle, green time, and red time). By adjusting the travel time, the electric vehicle can achieve a nonstop driving mode during the traveling. Further, the nonstop driving mode could avoid frequent acceleration and deceleration at the signal intersections so as to reduce the energy consumption. Therefore, the dynamically adjusted travel time can save the energy and eliminate the waiting time. A multiobjective 0-1 integer programming model is formulated to find the optimal routes. Two methods are presented to transform the multiobjective optimization problem into a single objective problem. To verify the validity of the model, a specific simulation is conducted on a test network. The results indicate that the shortest travel time and the energy consumption of the planning route can be significantly reduced, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.

The floristic region of Adjara represents “Hotpoint” of Caucasian which is distinguished with the uniqueness of its Current activities in the field of vehicle electrification offer a great potential for contributing to climate change mitigation by reducing anthropogenic CO2 emissions. Beyond the environmental strain, there is an economic one, too. It is therefore crucial for the European automotive industry to exploit not only the environmental benefits, but also the business opportunities which come from the transition from conventional fuel powered to electrified vehicles. To capture these opportunities, electric vehicles must deliver better performance at a lower price, overcoming the constraints that are currently limiting their mass-market uptake. This paper presents the approach of the research and innovation action H2020 project QUIET to meet these stringent requirements by developing an improved and energy efficient electric vehicle with increased driving range under real world driving conditions. The current situation in the sphere of district heating is analysed on the basis of use of the cognitive approach. The presence of closed chains of cause-effect relationships of negative factors and conflicts of target settings of the subjects in the field of district heating is shown. The conceptual model of energy efficient modernization of district heating systems is proposed. This model includes indicators of the current status of heat sources, networks and heat consumers, energetic and economic models, restrictions, procedure of forming and analysis of the mutual influence of the recommended projects. The quantitative data on indicators of the current state of district heating systems of the cities of Ukraine are presented. The interrelation between indicators of the current state and projects of energy efficient modernization of district heating systems is shown. Assessment of energy self-sufficiency of municipal district heating systems on condition of thermal modernization of buildings is carried out. Spatial queries frequently used in Hadoop for significant data process. However, vast and massive size of spatial information makes it difficult to process the spatial inquiries proficiently, so they utilized the Hadoop system for process Big Data. We have used Boolean Queries & Geometry Boolean Spatial Data for Query Optimization using Hadoop System. In this paper, we show a lightweight and adaptable spatial data index for big data which will process in Hadoop frameworks. Results demonstrate the proficiency and adequacy of our spatial ordering system for various spatial inquiries.

In electric vehicles with multiple motors, the torque at each wheel can be controlled independently, offering significant opportunities for enhancing vehicle dynamics behaviour and system efficiency. This paper investigates energy efficient torque distribution strategies for improving the operational efficiency of electric vehicles with multiple motors. The proposed strategies are based on the minimisation of power losses, considering the powertrain efficiency characteristics, and are easily implementable in real-time. A longitudinal dynamics vehicle model is developed in Simulink/Simscape environment, including energy models for the electrical machines, the converter, and the energy storage system. The energy efficient torque distribution strategies are compared with simple distribution schemes under different standardised driving cycles. The effect of the different strategies on the powertrain elements, such as the electric machine and the energy storage system, are analysed. Simulation results show that the optimal torque distribution strategies provide a reduction in energy consumption of up to 5.5% for the case-study vehicle compared to simple distribution strategies, also benefiting the battery state of charge.

The aim of this paper is to shed light on the question regarding whether the integration of an electric battery as a part of a domestic installation may increase its energy efficiency in comparison with a conventional case. When a battery is included in such an installation, two types of electrical conversion must be considered, i.e., AC/DC and DC/AC, and hence the corresponding losses due to these converters must not be forgotten when performing the analysis. The efficiency of the whole system can be increased if one of the mentioned converters is avoided or simply when its dimensioning is reduced. Possible ways to achieve this goal can be: to use electric vehicles as DC suppliers, the use of as many DC home devices as possible, and LED lighting or charging devices based on renewables. With all this in mind, several scenarios are proposed here in order to have a look at all possibilities concerning AC and DC powering. With the aim of checking these scenarios using real data, a case study is analyzed by operating with electricity consumption mean values.
