Multi-joint link is a class of typical structure in aircraft assembly. And the quantification of assembly error is very important to tolerance allocation and assembly quality prediction. A novel error analysis model of multi-joint assembly is established based on linkage mechanism theory. First, a virtual linkage mechanism will be created according to specific structural character and tolerance of joint linkage. And then, the input-output equation of linkage mechanism can be derived by vector method. Subsequently, the coaxiality and coplanarity error analysis models are developed respectively for three-joint and four-joint assembly. Finally, a case study on the elevator & horizontal empennage docking demonstrates the proposed method.

Airport of Rahadi Oesman in Kabupaten Ketapang Kalimantan Barat represent the main and important gate for air transport in Kabupaten Ketapang, where this airport own the strategic role in service activities of this transportation even for domestic transportation or regional. Activity in Airport of Rahadi Oesman in a few this the last year has growth so fast growth, so that felt the infrastructure and also available facility in this time have is not adequate again to support the growth rate of air traffic in this airport. In the plan development of facility of air side and also land side of the airport require to be conducted an analysis model of trip generation or attraction of passenger and goods. These models need for the prediction of mount the growth of passenger and goods/cargo and estimate the amount of passenger and aircraft movement in the future pursuant to aircraft characteristic that to be used. The models used for prediction of passenger and goods in this study are Trend Analysis Models consisted of linear regression trend method, exponential regression trend method, and polynomial regression trend method. Besides model of trend analysis, in this study also analyzed Market Share Model. Result from third model then compared to one another to obtain the most appropriate model. Pursuant to analyses result obtained that the best or most appropriate model is Model of Trend Analysis.Model for the attraction passenger is Y = 21,18X2+ 6181X + 5788 by R2= 0,922.Model for the generation passenger is Y = 128,3X2+ 7515X + 4965 by R2= 0,907.Model for the passenger of transit is Y = 795X2+ 561X + 3361 by R2= 1Model for the cargo movement is Y = 2468X2+ 41054X 28341 by R2= 0,918.

Abstract An integral part of implementing parallel product and process designs is simulation through numerical analysis. This simulation-driven design requires discretization of the 3D part in an appropriate manner. If the part is thin or has thin sections (e.g., plastic parts), then an analysis model with reduced dimensionality may be more accurate and economical than a standard 3D model. In addition, substantial simplification of some details in the design geometry may be beneficial and desirable in the analysis model. Unfortunately, the majority of CAD systems do not provide the means for abstraction of appropriate analysis models. In this paper we present a new approach, based on midsurface abstraction, which holds significant promise in simplifying simulation-driven design. The method is user-friendly because very little interaction is required to guide the software in its automatic creation of the desired analysis model. It is also robust because it handles typical parts with complex and interacting features. Application of the method for feature recognition and abstraction is also briefly discussed.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to construct some negative grey relational analysis models to measure the relationship between reverse sequences.Design/methodology/approachThe definition of reverse sequence has been given at first based on analysis of relative position and change trend of sequences. Then, several different negative grey relational analysis models, such as the negative grey similarity relational analysis model, the negative grey absolute relational analysis model, the negative grey relative relational analysis model, the negative grey comprehensive relational analysis model and the negative Deng’s grey relational analysis model have been put forward based on the corresponding common grey relational analysis models. The properties of the new models have been studied.FindingsThe negative grey relational analysis models proposed in this paper can solve the problem of relationship measurement of reverse sequences effectively. All the new negative grey relational degree satisfying the requirements of normalization and reversibility.Practical implicationsThe proposed negative grey relational analysis models can be used to measure the relationship between reverse sequences. As a living example, the reverse incentive effect of winning Fields Medal on the research output of winners is measured based on the research output data of the medalists and the contenders using the proposed negative grey relational analysis model.Originality/valueThe definition of reverse sequence and the negative grey similarity relational analysis model, the negative grey absolute relational analysis model, the negative grey relative relational analysis model, the negative grey comprehensive relational analysis model and the negative Deng’s grey relational analysis model are first proposed in this paper.

In this study, the configuration of a bionic horse robot for equine-assisted therapy is presented. A single-leg system with two degrees of freedom (DOFs) is driven by a cam-linkage mechanism, and it can adjust the span and height of the leg end-point trajectory. After a brief introduction on the quadruped bionic horse robot, the structure and working principle of a single-leg system are discussed in detail. Kinematic analysis of a single-leg system is conducted, and the relationships between the structural parameters and leg trajectory are obtained. On this basis, the pressure angle characteristics of the cam-linkage mechanism are studied, and the leg end-point trajectories of the robot are obtained for several inclination angles controlled by the rotation of the motor for the stride length adjusting. The closed-loop vector method is used for the kinematic analysis, and the motion analysis system is developed in MATLAB software. The motion analysis results are verified by a three-dimensional simulation model developed in Solidworks software. The presented research on the configuration, kinematic modeling, and pressure angle characteristics of the bionic horse robot lays the foundation for subsequent research on the practical application of the proposed bionic horse robot.

Abstract The semantics of slur terms has provoked some debate within the philosophy of language, and different analysis models have been proposed to account for the complex meaning of these terms. The present paper acknowledges the complexity of the matter and presents an analysis model that is inspired by multiple-component approaches to slurs, such as those by Camp (2018) and Jeshion (2018). The Multi-Component Model for the semantic analysis of slurs (MCM) tracks down altogether four meaning components in group-based slur terms: a referential and a pejorative meaning component (being xy and despicable because of it), as well as a scalar component capturing the term’s individual degree of offensiveness, and an expressive component indexing heightened emotions in all contexts of use. The notion of individual offensiveness degrees (that are fed by a multitude of semantic, pragmatic, and/or extralinguistic sources) allows us to account for the differences between slurs for the same ethnic group (such as nigger, negro, coon, darkie for Blacks); and the separation of the expressive component from the pejorative component can (1) explain the high frequency of non-pejorative uses, and (2) correctly describe these uses as expressive.

The features on freeform surface are common in products with complex curved surfaces, such as gas film holes attached on turbine blade surface or pressing head on the multi-spots bending press. The freeform surfaces generally have tiny geometric structure, the large number and regular arrangement, which makes it hard to extract analysis parameters from CAD structures and construct equivalent analysis features. Therefore, the analysis models generation will be accelerated if parameters for analysis could be extracted automatically rather than manually. In this paper, the analysis-oriented parameter extraction problem is proposed and analyzed. The geometry pattern parameter and physical attribute parameter are summarized and defined as the research kernel based on common analysis scenarios. Based on Hough transform and k-means clustering method, a geometry pattern parameter extraction method is proposed, which can convert analytic criterion of extraction requirements into clear pattern recognition problems. A physical attribute parameter extraction method based on rule reasoning is also put forward to extract numeric analysis parameters with physical meanings. Finally, two representative cases are taken to illustrate the implementation steps of the proposed method, and to verify the effectiveness and practicability in engineering. The instance demonstrates that the proposed method could significantly reduce the time consumption of analysis model generation and improve the integration degree of CAD/CAE.

This article is about choosing building structure analysis model question. Construction analysis model type choice affects result of counting. Result accuracy and reliability depends on analysis scheme choice. Using modern computers, there is a lot of alternative abilities of creation construction analysis model. This article is made to understand these analysis models features and their influence on result. An example of counting beam in six independent CAD systems is shown. Engineering simulation and design software, which base on finite elements method, were chosen for analysis. These counting models differ from each other only by geometrical scheme. Beam geometry modeling is performed using beam elements, shell elements and solid elements. The comparison of beam calculation results with its beam, shell and solid elements analysis scheme modelling was performed. The analysis of single factor (geometric scheme) influence on the results of beam calculation is shown. It was defined, that the choice of calculation complex does not affect the calculation result, if the geometrical counting models are completely identical. It was defined, that in case creating construction with various types finite elements there are differences in the calculation results. Difference in calculation results, using different geometrical models, is seen in using the same complex and in comparison of different complexes. It was defined, that difference in calculating internal forces and moments in beam for different geometrical models can be more than 10%.

Based on the shape features of corn seed, this paper proposes the modeling method of manual combination of eight spheres, which constructs the analysis models for corn seed Ji Feng 218 and Chang Dan 228 with the purpose of better simulation of corn seeds. Furthermore, another analysis model for Chang Dan 228 is also built with reference to the four-sphere combination method. The comparison between the simulation results from these two models demonstrates the feasibility and superiority of the model of combination of eight spheres.
