This paper reported the extraction conditions of polyphenols compounds by ultrasonic wave and its bacteriostasis from sweet corncob. The yield of Polyphenol was selected as the index which determined by the Folin-Ciocalteu assay, single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment of ultrasound power, the extraction time, the methanol concentration (volume fraction) and solid-liquid ratio had been taken out. The result of orthogonal experiment showed that the best ultrasound power, the extraction time, the methanol concentration (volume fraction) and solid-liquid ratio were 520W, 20min, 1:10 (g/mL) and 80%, respectively. Calculation showed that the yield of Polyphenols up to 2.85%.The extract of Polyphenols from sweet corncob showed that it had bacteriostasis to EscherichiaColi,BacillusSubtilisandStaphylococcusAlbus.

The effects of extraction conditions on Extraction of Dioscin from D.zingiberensis was studied in this paper. It was shown that when the ultrasonic frequency was 35.74KHz, solid-liquid ratio(D.zingiberensis:ethanol)was 1:10, ethanol volume fraction was 75%, and extracted for 30 minutes and for 3 times, the extraction rate of dioscin from D.zingiberensis reached the highest. The method of ultrasonic-assisted ethanol extraction can not only cut down extraction time, but also increase extraction yield.

Pectin was extracted from Ramie [Boehmeria nivea (L.) Gaud] through ammonium oxalate extraction method. The influences of single factors (ammonium oxalate concentration, extraction time, solid–liquid ratio, and reaction temperature) on the yield of ramie pectin were studied. Orthogonal experiment was then performed to optimize the combination of the given conditions using pectin yield as the measuring indicator. Finally, the partial physicochemical properties of ramie pectin extracted in the optimal conditions were analyzed. Results showed that the optimal conditions for single-element experiment were 3.5 h (extraction time), 1:25 (solid–liquid ratio), 0.85% (concentration of ammonium oxalate) and 95 °C (extraction temperature), and that the optimal combination conditions for orthogonal experiment was 4 h, 1:30, 0.95% and 90 °C. The ramie pectin yield extracted in optimal conditions reached 15.81%, and its protein content, galacturonic acid content, and esterification degree were 0.659 mg/g, 49.92%, and 53.11%, respectively. Therefore, the proposed method was successfully applied to obtain ramie pectin and may provide scientific basis for improving the multi-utilization value of ramie.

The extraction technique of flavonoids from the tender leaves and fruits of medlar (Lycium chinense Miller) were investigated, and the flavonoids content from both was compared. Through single-factor and the L9 (34) orthogonal design, the optimal extraction parameters were determined. The results showed that the content of flavonoids in the tender leaves was significantly higher than in the fruits. There were four important factors influencing the yield of flavonoids, including ethanol concentration, extraction time, solid-liquid ratio and extraction temperature. As for leaves, the optimum extraction parameters were 80% ethanol concent, solid-liquid ratio 1:50, two times per 40min, and 60°С . In order to extract flavonoids from fruits, the optimum parameters of ethanol content, solid-liquid ratio, extract times, and temperature were 80%, 1:50, 2 per 30min and 60С respectively. Under the optimum condition, the yield of flavonoids from leaves and fruits were 47.371 and 9.593 mg.g-1 respectively.

The aim of this study was to establish the optimized ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) conditions of polysaccharides from Cyclocarya paliurus (Batal.) Iljinskaja (PCP) and explore the potential anti-fatigue activity of PCP. The optimum UAE condition through single factor experiments and orthogonal experiment was determined as followings: solid-liquid ratio of 1:25 g/mL, ultrasonic power of 400 W, ultrasound time of 40 min and ultrasound temperature of 60 °C. The forced swimming test was employed to evaluate anti-fatigue activity of PCP, and the results showed that PCP had anti-fatigue activity on mice. It can increase exhaustive swimming time and hemoglobin contents, whilst reducing blood lactate and blood urea nitrogen contents.

Commercial crude tea saponin as raw material, ultrasonic assisted extraction technology of tea saponin was investigated. Five influence factors of ethanol concentration, extraction temperature, extraction time, solid-liquid ratio, ultrasonic power on the extraction of tea saponin were studied in detail. Orthogonal experiment through the single factor experiment design, the experimental results show that the optimum operating conditions for the ethanol concentration of 80%, solid-liquid ratio 1: 40, extraction temperature 40°C, ultrasonic power of 300W, ultrasonic extraction time 45 minutes. Under the optimum conditions obtained tea saponin extract with ethanol- acetone precipitation method is further purified, tea saponin content increased from 52.1% to 93.6%. The result indicated that the purity of the tea saponin could be effectively improved through the ultrasonic assisted- precipitation combined method.

In this study, the soakage extraction method and the ultrasonic extraction method were used to extract active ingredients from Artemisia annua, Artemisia sieversiana, Artemisia mongolica,Artemisia scoparia, Artemisia lavandulaefolia and Artemisia japonica. Using the orthogonal experiment design, we studied the effects of four factors: extraction time, solid-liquid ratio, fineness and extraction times, on extracting active ingredients from Artemisia annua. We also optimized the extraction conditions of the ultrasonic wave method. The results showed that 95% ethanol solution was the best solvent for extracting components in these six species of Artemisia. The best extraction method was ultrasonic extraction method. The optimum extraction conditions of ultrasonic extraction were 1:20 of solid-liquid ratio, one time of extraction, 40 of degree of fineness and 40 minutes of extraction time.

Response surface methodology was employed to optimise the ultrasonic-assisted extraction of protein from brewer’s spent grain. Three variables, namely the extraction time (min), ultrasonic power (W/100 ml of extractant), and solid-liquid ratio (g/100 ml) were investigated. Optimal conditions were determined and tri-dimensional response surfaces were plotted using mathematical models. The ANOVA analysis indicated that all the quantities determined, i.e. the extraction time, ultrasonic power, and solid-liquid ratio, had significant positive linear and negative quadratic effects on the protein yield. Optimum conditions for the extraction of protein were found to be: the extraction time of 81.4 min, ultrasonic power of 88.2 W/100 ml of extractant, and solid-liquid ratio of 2.0 g/100 ml. The optimal predicted protein yield obtained was 104.2 mg/g BSG while the experimental yield of protein was in agreement with the predicted value.
