With the rapid development of rail transit, storage of mass data has become an urgent problem. In view of the problem of insufficient storage capacity and low-efficiency for traditional storage technology, maintenance monitoring data collected by MSS (Maintenance Support System) is taken as the background in this paper [1], an open source framework Hadoop is introduced to build MSS data storage architecture. Through building the virtual cluster environment, the Hadoop technology used in signal system of rail transit is verified feasible.

With the rapid development of urbanization and motorization in China, the urban problems such as low-quality land spread and low efficiency of transportation are becoming increasingly prominent. It has become an effective method to solve the traffic and environment problems by using TOD theory, while mass rail transit has become the best carrier of TOD model. TOD is a powerful means to optimize land use, traffic development and urban planning, which provides a possibility for the organic combination of land use and traffic development. This paper mainly studies the visualization method of TOD development process based on big data. In TOD model of urban development guided by public transport, this paper studies and analyzes the planning points of TOD mode, and also studies the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and threats of urban rail transit(URT) to prove the reliability of TOD development process. This paper studies the scale algorithm of rail transit network, and also analyzes the environmental pollution caused by various traffic modes and the land use ratio of TOD types by chart analysis. The experimental results show that the most important vehicle in cities is automobiles, while the energy consumption of Metro light rail is only 0.84, carbon dioxide emissions are 1.21 and noise pollution is 0.42. The pollution caused by it is the smallest, which is worth expanding. In terms of the proportion of type land, residential land is the core of neighborhood, accounting for 62.5%, while urban TOD is mainly used for core land, accounting for 55%. In the type land, different types of land use main functions are different.

With the rapid development of industry, more fossil energy is consumed to generate electricity, which increases carbon emissions and aggravates the burden of environmental protection. To reduce carbon emissions, traditional centralized power generation networks are transforming into distributed renewable generation systems. However, the deployment of distributed generation systems can affect power system economy and stability. In this paper, under different time scales, system economy, stability, carbon emissions, and renewable energy fluctuation are comprehensively considered to optimize battery and super-capacitor installation capacity for an off-grid power system. After that, based on the genetic algorithm, this paper shows the optimal system operation strategy under the condition of the theoretical best energy storage capacity. Finally, the theoretical best capacity is tested under different renewable energy volatility rates. The simulation results show that by properly sizing the storage system’s capacity, although the average daily costs of the system can increase by 10%, the system’s carbon emissions also reduce by 42%. Additionally, the system peak valley gap reduces by 23.3%, and the renewable energy output’s fluctuation range and system loss of load probability are successfully limited in an allowable range. Lastly, it has less influence on the theoretical best energy storage capacity if the renewable energy volatility rate can be limited to within 10%.

<p>In today's society, the rise of the Internet and rapid development make every day produce a huge amount of data. Therefore, the traditional data processing mode and data storage can not be fully analyzed and mined these data. More and more new information technologies (such as cloud computing, virtualization and big data, etc.) have emerged and been applied, the network has turned from informationization to intelligence, and campus construction has ushered in the stage of smart campus construction. The construction of intelligent campus refers to big data and cloud computing technology, which improves the informatization service quality of colleges and universities by integrating, storing and mining huge data.</p>

With an increasing number of personal computers introduced in schools, enterprises and other large organizations, workloads of system administrators have been on the rise due to the issues related to energy costs, IT expenses, PC replacement expenditures, data storage capacity, and information security, etc. However, Application Virtualization (AV) has been proved as a successful cost-effective solution to solve these problems. In this paper, the analytics of a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) system will be taken into consideration for a campus network. Our developed system will be introduced and justified. Furthermore, the rationality for these improvements will be introduced.

Angkotin is a system that provides an alternative for urban transport to not only be used for passenger transportation, but also as freight service. Therefore, it needs a decision support system for taking order to delivery to the destination according to each criterion from urban transportation. The method used to develop this decision support system is a rule-based system. The result of this research is a decision support system that can help public transportation to find orders that can be taken based on four factors, such as distance, direction, route code, and status of storage capacity. Based on these four factors, the system can provide an order recommendation under the appropriate conditions through the Angkotin application. Based on our experiment, our system performs on 7 seven cases as expected.

In the society with the rapid development and popularization of computer technology, the management information system has become the hot field of software development. It runs stably in the browsers, like IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9 and FireFox, with high efficiency, sound security, friendly interface and simple operation. It has done research on the design and realization process of HTML5 off-line data storage on the Android platform. Under the Eclipse integrated development environment, with Android SDK and HTML5 grammar, develop the system, which realize the functions of off-line storage, addition, deletion and modification of user data. It enables the application of HTML5 of Android platform and has made detailed analysis on the Android platform and HTML5 application module. The result indicates, the webpage application design of HTML5 conducted on the Android platform, is simple and fast, which can better meet the demand of Android cellphone users.

This chapter is a brief introduction to the Image As Big Data Toolkit (IABDT), a Java-based open source framework for performing a variety of distributed image processing and analysis tasks. IABDT has been developed over the last two years in response to the rapid evolution of Big Data architectures and technologies, distributed and image processing systems. This chapter presents an architecture for image analytics that uses Big Data storage and compression methods. A sample implementation of our image analytic architecture called the Image as Big Data Toolkit (IABDT) addresses some of the most frequent challenges experienced by the image analytics developer. Baseline applications developed with IABDT, status of the toolkit and directions for future extension with emphasis on image display, presentation, and reporting case studies are discussed to motivate our design and technology stack choices. Sample applications built using IABDT, as well as future development plans for IABDT are discussed.

Sensor networks are dense wired or wireless networks used for collecting and disseminating environmental data. They have some limitations like energy that usually provide by battery and storages in order that we cannot save any generated data. The most energy consumer of sensors is transmitting. Sensor networks generate immense amount of data. They send collected data to the sink node for storage to response to users queries. Data storage has become an important issue in sensor networks as a large amount of collected data need to be archived for future information retrieval. The rapid development and deployment of sensor technology is intensifying the existing problem of too much data and not enough knowledge. Sensory data comes from multiple sensors of different modalities in distributed locations. In this chapter we investigate some major issues with respect to data storages of sensor networks that can be used for disaster management more efficiently.
