The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly growing and provides the foundation for the development of smart cities, smart home, and health care. With more and more devices connecting to the Internet, huge amounts of data are produced, creating a great challenge for data processing. Traditional cloud computing has the problems of long delays. Edge computing is an extension of cloud computing, processing data at the edge of the network can reduce the long processing delay of cloud computing. Due to the limited computing resources of edge servers, resource management of edge servers has become a critical research problem. However, the structural characteristics of the subtask chain between each pair of sensors and actuators are not considered to address the task scheduling problem in most existing research. To reduce processing latency and energy consumption of the edge-cloud system, we propose a multilayer edge computing system. The application deployed in the system is based on directed digraph. To fully use the edge servers, we proposed an application module placement strategy using Simulated Annealing module Placement (SAP) algorithm. The modules in an application are bounded to each sensor. The SAP algorithm is designed to find a module placement scheme for each sensor and to generate a module chain including the mapping of the module and servers for each sensor. Thus, the edge servers can transmit the tuples in the network with the module chain. To evaluate the efficacy of our algorithm, we simulate the strategy in iFogSim. Results show the scheme is able to achieve significant reductions in latency and energy consumption.

This document provides a systematic review of models and methodologies that combine modern teaching technologies, innovations, and applied programs in technical education. The article shows the relevance of the development of students of applied programs that contribute to improving the readiness of students for engineering activities. This paper gives an example of using the application module of the AutoFEM Analysis add-on application is integrated into the AutoCAD software package to calculate one of the problems of technical mechanics.

This research designed a monitoring system on dam by using fuzzy tahani method based on Microcontroller. This tool is designed to be used as monitoring on the Katulampa Dam. This tool consists of Raspberry module Pi 3 model B, ultrasonic sensors, resistors and android. The monitoring system on the dam is used to inform the user/citizen when the water in the dam has exceeded the specified height limit and notify the user of the appliance if there is a possibility of flooding, so that residents around the dam can be alert and avoid danger caused by flood . So that with the tool is expected to provide solutions to residents around the dam and residents whose homes are near the dam river flow in case of sudden danger or flood within 24 hours in real time and can minimize casualties due to flooding. By using application module on android that can give notification sms to appliance user and citizen, hence citizen around the dam will be more secure and protected from danger caused by flood and can minimize victim or other loss caused by flood.

Community Service Activities (PkM) are a form of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Lecturers aregiven the obligation to be involved in this activity so that the usefulness of knowledge can flow to thewider community. One of the service activities carried out by lecturers is in the form of training andimplementation of technology-based learning media for students majoring in Design at SMKN 4Padang City. This activity was held in 2019. Then, this PkM was used as a study to measure theeffectiveness of technology-based learning media in increasing student interest. The results showedthat learning media can be a means of channeling messages and information in the learning process.Learning media that are well designed will greatly assist students in digesting and understanding thesubject matter. In this era of globalization and information, the development of learning media is alsoincreasingly advanced. The use of technology as a learning medium is already a requirement.Although technology-based media design requires special expertise, this does not mean that themedia is avoided and abandoned. Technology-based learning media can be in the form of internet,intranet, mobile phone, CD Room / Flash Disk and Electronic Application Module. The maincomponents include the Learning Management System (LMS) and Learning Content (LC). It is hopedthat this training and mentoring can increase the interest of vocational students of the DKVDepartment in learning which will have an impact on learning outcomes as a provision in the world ofwork later.


This Paper demonstrate a module on a sign to speech (voice) converter for auto Conversion of American sign language (ASL) to English Speech and text. It minimizes the gap of communication between speech impaired and other humans. It could be used to understand a speech impaired person’s thoughts or views which he communicates with others through its ASL gestures but failing to communicate due to a large communication gap between them. It also work as a translator for person who do not understand the sign language and allows the communication in the natural way of speaking. The proposed module is an interactive application module developed using Python and its Advanced Libraries. This module uses inbuilt camera of the system to get the images and perform analysis on those images to predict the meaning of that gesture and provide the output as text on screen and speech through speaker of the system that makes this module very much cost effective. This module recognizes one handed ASL gestures of alphabets (A-Z) with highly consistent, fairly high precision and accuracy.

Today, many efforts prepared to improve the scope of the agricultural commodity product marketing segment to make the consumer and farmer could enjoy it properly. One of those effort completed by building an e-Commerce based agricultural trading system. This study aimed to assess the pre-seed, seed and start-up business on the vegetable seller e-Commerce user in Bali Province. This study done on the e-Commerce platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Tokopedia, and Shopee that used by the vegetable seller e-Commerce user in Bali Province. There were 30 participants involved in this study. Qualitative descriptive analysis with simple data tabulation used to address the study aim. Results showed that the pre-seed business developed due to the owner’s hobby in the agricultural area and environmental factors that drove them to run an agribusiness. On the step of the seed business, the vegetable seller started the business according to their will. Most of the sellers still used social media-based e-commerce with a simple application module. They expect to develop a complete module system to run their e-Commerce based business in the future.
