South pile foundation of Ma On Shan Yangtze River Highway Bridge is big, deep, soft soil, groundwater rich. In order to guarantee the safeties of the foundation, its foundation pit supporting schemes are compared, selected and calculated, finally lock mouth steel pipe support is selected as the design and construction scheme. The three-dimensional simulation analysis of the scheme is calculated by using MIDAS software, simulated four construction condition is presented, and stress and deformation results of retaining structure on various operating conditions is obtained. The calculation results show that the palisade structure basic satisfies the requirements of caps excavation and caps concrete construction. The results of construction show that the construction method, model and parameters used in this paper are basic right, the reasonableness of Supporting is confirmed and for the similar large foundation pit construction provides useful reference.

In recent years, with the enhancement of overall national strength in China, the computer simulation technology has been developed rapidly and widely applied to engineering construction. Particularly, investment proportion of the technology in deep foundation pit engineering is immense. Yet affected by national conditions in China, the construction and application of deep foundation pit engineering have many extensive factors. It also results in insufficient vigor of finite element analysis of deep foundation pit support construction. In this way, construction problems arise frequently under the condition that there exist buildings around. With some deep foundation pit support engineering, the thesis conducts simulation analysis of the engineering through the technology of nonlinear three-dimensional finite element.Project profile

Implementing monitoring over construction process of old bridge’s reinforcement serves as an important measure to ensure construction quality and safety and realize the goal of reinforcement. This paper, with a case study of the maintenance and reinforcement project of Zhicheng Yangtze River Bridge (steel truss highway-railway combined bridge), adopted MIDAS to establish finite element analysis model, and with stress and deformation as monitoring parameters, completed the construction monitoring work, numerical simulation analysis and site test for the reinforcement project.

In this paper, a nonlinear three-dimensional finite element model for super-long pile and soil interaction is established. In this model, contact elements are applied to simulate the nonlinear behavior of interaction of super-long pile and soil. A nonlinear elastic constitutive model for concrete is employed to analyze stress-strain relation of pile shaft under the axial load and the Duncan-Chang’s nonlinear constitutive model is used to reflect nonlinear and inelastic properties of soil. The side friction resistance, axial force, pile-tip resistance, and developing trend of soil plastic deformation are obtained and compared with measured results from static load tests. It is demonstrated that a super-long pile has the properties of degradation of side friction resistance and asynchronous action between side and pile-tip resistance, which is different from piles with a short to medium length.

With excellent economy and properties, pressureless sintered micron silver has been regarded as an environmentally friendly interconnection material. In order to promote its reliable application in deep space exploration considering the porous microstructural evolution and its effect on macroscopic performance, simulation analysis based on the reconstruction of pressureless sintered micron silver joints was carried out. In this paper, the deep space environment was achieved by a test of 250 extreme thermal shocks of −170 °C~125 °C, and the microstructural evolution was observed by using SEM. Taking advantage of the morphology autocorrelation function, three-dimensional models of the random-distribution medium consistent with SEM images were reconstructed, and utilized in further Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of material effective elastic modulus through a transfer procedure. Compared with test results and two analytical models, the good consistency of the prediction results proves that the proposed method is reliable. Through analyzing the change in autocorrelation functions, the microstructural evolution with increasing shocks was quantitively characterized. Mechanical response characteristics in FEA were discussed. Moreover, the elasticity degradation was noticed and the mechanism in this special environment was clarified.

This paper adopts general finite element software to carry out three-dimensional finite element simulation analysis for Huizeli reinforced concrete rectangular-sectioned aqueduct. Considering four combination cases in aqueduct’s construction and operating process, researching variation laws of the aqueduct’s stress and displacement. Analysis results show that design scheme of Huizeli reinforced concrete rectangular-sectioned aqueduct is reasonable, it can meet design requirements. Analysis results provide some theory references for design of reinforced concrete rectangular-sectioned aqueduct.

Loading of pressure vessel was usually complicated in practical service operating conditions. Simulation model of pressure vessel was built by method of finite element simulation analysis, and structured mesh generation was realized. Numerical calculation was come true, stress/strain distribution of pressure vessel was obtained in applying of the multi-load. On this basis, this condition compared with alone applied many loadings. The calculation results indicate the validity of this model, and results are evaluated according to relevant standards, which provide a way to study mechanical response in the actual working conditions. In addition, sub-model is analyzed for key part of pressure vessel, and transition is come true from large scale simulation to small scale simulation.

The performance of four sections of a full-scale embankment constructed on soft soil is examined using a fully coupled and fully three-dimensional finite element analysis. The four sections had similar embankment loadings but different improvement options (one unimproved, one with pile-support only, one with a single layer geotextile-reinforced platform and pile-support, and one with two layers of geogrid-reinforced platform and pile-support). Like the field data, the numerical results show that the inclusion of piles decreases the settlement at the subsoil surface to 52% of that for the unimproved section, and the addition of a single layer of geotextile reinforcement (J = 800 kN/m) further reduced settlement to only 31% of that of the unimproved section. The effects of geosynthetic reinforcement and multiple layers of reinforcement on the performance of the pile-supported embankment are discussed. The relative load transfer is calculated using eight existing methods and they are compared with the field measurements and numerical results.

A test bench of vehicle engine is designed and the three-dimensional solid model is established in UG software. Then the model is imported into ANSYS software to conduct static stress analysis, the stress and deformation distribution of test bench are obtained, referenced the results and the bracket are optimized to improve support ability, the maximum stress and the maximum displacement of test bench decreased 66.9% and 76.9%, respectively. Lastly modal analysis of test bench is performed, the chassis base is strengthen design according to the first-order mode shape, then the first natural vibration frequency is heightened 91.0%, it is far away from the engine excitation frequency range, the stability of test bench is enhanced.
