A new type of energy-saving magnetic amplifier controlling current and voltage of inductive load has been designed. The energy-saving magnetic amplifier with two windings wrapped across one iron core column can change impedance of the main winding by means of PWM controlling AC excitation current. The energy-saving magnetic amplifier has not used a special adjustable DC voltage circuit, has overcome disadvantages of complicated manufacturing process for the traditional excitation amplifier.The application shows the energy-saving excitation amplifier can achieve stepless dimming for high pressure sodium lamp to good energy-saving effect. The use cost of excitation amplifier is lower as simple production process, so its promotional value is great.

Electronic ballast is the important part of high pressure sodium lamp.Start-up mode of high pressure sodium lamp is the difficulty in this areas.Start-up voltage must higher than working voltage when the lamp start-up.Power supply voltage is not high to start-up the high pressure sodium lamp.So we need voltage transformer, pulse generator, resonance circuit and so on to generate the start-up voltage. We analyse the theory of electronic ballasts of high-pressure sodium lamp and make experiments in this paper. We have developed the sample of high pressure sodium lamp based on this theory,and got the obvious effect in energy-saving.

A model reference adaptive control (MRAC) algorithm is proposed to the air-conditioning system of variable air volume (VAV) terminal units (VAV BOX). The study of temperature controlling parameters in room area (Zone) is based on Lyapunov stability theory. We built the simulation model in Matlab to validate the superior controlling performance and good energy saving effect of the algorithm. The research shows that the energy consumption release 60% ~70% in larger room. In modern building, the energy saving and comfort is very important, so the simulation has important engineering practical value.

A new type of wear-resistant hydraulic feedback self-sealing plunger pump is proposed. finite element analysis and optimal design of orthogonal parameters are applied to determine the structural parameters. The pump overcomes the conventional piston friction, low efficiency, short life. Laboratory tests showed that the pump free down stroke, full returns, leakage reduction 1,000 times than the standard API. Field experiments indicate that pump efficiency attain to 60-80%, achieved a good energy saving effect of improving the pump efficiency.

Facing the huge energy consumption of buildings, it is highly practical to study every aspect of energy-saving technologies for heating and cooling devices. Solar thermal technology and air/water source heat pump are two popular energy-saving technologies, which could be combined into a composite heating system with good energy-saving effect and efficiency. This paper constructs a solar-air source composite heating system, analyzes its thermodynamic features, and builds up the corresponding thermodynamic model. In addition, the authors modeled the daytime and nighttime heat balances, as well as the monthly cumulative heat supply for the constructed system. Finally, a dual-tank composite heating system was designed with independent heat supply/storage. The proposed models and system were proved valid and scientific through experiments.

In this paper, the study and application of an entirely new energy-saving residential building structure, whose wall is constructed with multi-ribbed composite wall and latent frame. Based on experimental research and theoretical analysis, it was found that the structure system had good seismic behaviors, strong structure adaptability and good energy-saving effect. At the same time, notable social and economic benefits have been shown in several examples.

The LED illumination has extremely high luminous efficiency, which is5 or 10 times of incandescent, 2 times of the traditional energy-saving lamps and 1.5 times of high-pressure sodium lamp. It has been widely used in the lamp products of lighting and decoration. At present, the biggest problem that the LED lighting products facing is the stability and reliability of LED drive circuit. The paper tries to explore the scientific and technical standards and test schemes of LED drive technology parameters, which has a certain significance of improving reliability and safety of LED lighting technology.

At present high-pressure sodium lamp is main lighting source of the college and university sports teaching venues. In the 2008 Beijing Olympic competition venues and the 2010 Shanghai world expo exhibition, LED lighting lamps and lanterns are adopted in large quantities because of the concept of the green, environmental protection, energy saving. Author in this paper used to be engaged in the teaching of college sports in our country, and do research about lighting source requirement in our college and university sports teaching venues, such as suitable and uniform illuminance, ideal for light color, third dimension and small glare, etc. The inquiry about the application of The LED and high pressure sodium lamp in the universities sports teaching venue is discussed in this paper, so that it can provide a reference on high-pressure sodium lamp replacement LED lighting lamps and lanterns.

Super Stream Duct(SSD) was a new-type hydrodynamic energy-saving device. This paper designed the test model of Super Stream Duct. The resistance trial and the self-navigation trial of the model ship with the super stream duct equipped were proceeded. The influences of geometry shape and the installation position of SSD on the energy-saving effect was analyzed at different flow speeds. The experimental results have shown that the Super Stream Duct can save energy when the ship installed the SSD. When the open angle of profile was 12°(type B), the distance between the SSD and propeller disc was 40mm, the effect of saving energy was the best.

Fused magnesia is an essential basic material for metal making and construction industries. Fused magnesia is usually produced with mineral arc furnace. In China, 1600 kVA arc furnaces are widely used as fused magnesia production facility. The unit power consumption for magnesia production is about 3000 kWh/t, higher than that in developed countries. In this research, a 3000 kVA new arc furnace was used to produce fused magnesia, and the unit consumption decreased to 2560kWh/t. The experimental results showed that the new furnace has good energy saving effect and market prospects.
