With the maturity of 2D GIS technology, and the development of 3D GIS and digital city, Not only can it browse roaming system, but it is more important in spatial analysis ability. The development of digital city technology for urban planning provides an effective way, with the 3D visualization technology, virtual reality technology and the applied 3D GIS spatial analysis function of 3D digital city construction. The development of the digital city faces the opportunity in this paper under the background of this 3D digital city is put forward the development and implementation of query analysis system.

Digital City is the digital technical service system which is synthetically applying such as Geographical Information System (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS) ,Satellite Positioning System, Computer Network, Multimedia, Virtual Simulation and so on many kinds of technical methods, automatically gathers and dynamically manages City’s infrastructure, function mechanism, and at last assists Decision-making Supports. The Three-Dimensional Urban GIS (3D UGIS) is the key supporting technology of the Digital City, and also needs certain key technology to support it. Such as building 3D Spatial Data Model, huge spatial data’s storage method in spatial database, and reconstructing 3D virtual scene. And this thesis precisely centers on these key problems to launch research.

3D visualization has become the basic requirements of many applications of GIS. However, most of the commercialization of GIS software based on two-dimensional, to describe the true three-dimensional hydraulic engineering environment. Data integration with 3D visualization technology can be obtained through various means in order to visualize three-dimensional graphics dynamically shown to provide a convenient analytical tool to handle the vast amounts of complex engineering data, has become the GIS research cutting edge of technology and research hotspot. This paper first discusses the hydraulic engineering 3D visualization modeling framework and then study the water conservancy 3D GIS model and visualize the general principles and processes. And the general approach and application effect of 3D GIS Model have been illustrated in detailed.

Virtual reality (VR), defined as three-dimensional immersive and realistic environment, is pushing its way into becoming the mainstream in many aspects of daily life. It promises to provide more engaging and immersive experiences in several areas, including training, safety and education. In the education sector particularly, it can increase student engagement, provide active and constructive learning, and provide a platform for visualizing complex concepts concretely. Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ), one of six American university campuses in Qatar, was one of the first in adopting the virtual reality technology in the education and research in the region. It acquired its first immersive VR system in 2008 and the second more sophisticated system in 2016. It organizes an annual project competition to promote the use of virtual reality and 3D visualization in the academic community. This paper describes the salient VR projects completed in last few years at TAMUQ.

The Wudongde reservoir area 3D visualization geological disaster information system is designed in this paper, based on the superiority of Skyline software and Skyline TerraExplorer API. It consists of two parts: retrieval browsing system and spatial analysis system. Retrieval browsing system has several functions, such as displaying, browsing, information retrieval, data statistics, querying, searching and printing. Spatial analysis system sets the core modules, including spatial calculation, terrain analysis and flood-inundated simulation. It is verified by application that this system can be used for displaying 3D scene of the Wudongde reservoir area terrain, providing decision support for the governor, reaching the design requirements wholly.

This document puts forward a new method for solving the modeling of overground and underground entities and spatial analysis provided by the virtual reality technology (VR). The new method can construct virtual urban geological environment, realize the integrated modeling of overground and underground entities, and research the interactive functions such as 2D-digital map navigation and spatial query in the virtual environment, which provides the decision making platform of three-dimension visualization for urban planning, urban construction and urban management, and is a good foundation for construction of “the management and service systems for urban geological information”.

In recent years, smart city has attracted more and more attention because of its high intelligence and informatization. In the future, smart community, smart parking lot and smart exhibition hall will enter people's life. In these smart services, indoor navigation and positioning technology is the basic technology. High precision indoor and outdoor seamless positioning technology plays a vital role in people's future life, is the science and technology source power to promote public innovation and entrepreneurship, and is an important part of supporting the national strategic needs. At present, indoor navigation is still facing challenges such as high cost, poor adaptability and poor endurance. In this paper, combined with threedimensional( 3D) visualization technology, indoor navigation is designed and applied. The results show that the indoor navigation system combines indoor positioning and artificial intelligence to achieve multichannel positioning and reduce power consumption, which can be widely used in the construction of smart city and bring convenience to people's life.

<p><strong>Abstract.</strong> 3D visualization theory and technology has become a new research topic in the field of GIS and digital mapping. Based on a brief analysis of the development status of 3D GIS at home and abroad, this paper introduces the key technologies such as LOD technology and shortest path algorithm commonly used in traffic 3D GIS. The three-dimensional visualization technology in the application of traffic in the field of three-dimensional road network generation, vehicle navigation, simulation driving, etc., the analysis and summary of the vehicle collision model based on driving vehicles to detect road conditions and issue vehicle driving operation instructions, to some extent The simulated driving of the vehicle is realized. Based on the actual 3D geographic information platform, the fusion processing and 3D display of different precision terrain data are realized, and the function modules such as vehicle navigation and simulation driving are developed. The initial practice of LOD technology and shortest path algorithm in traffic 3D information system application was carried out.</p>
