After the WenChuan earthquake in may 12,2008,Many province government built the temporary houses for earthquake disaster area. For the first time, they initiate such large scale project, there are many problems emerged during the process of construction such problem like economy ,environment, engineering materials and technology. In this article, we collect problems and analysis them ,seek for the possible measures of construct the temporary house and the effective way to rebuilt the disaster area.

Altogether, 1588 dietitians were dispatched from the Japan Dietetic Association (JDA) to a disaster area for the first time on a nationwide scale following the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. Various studies have been conducted based on the activity reports, but the support that the disaster area requested was not documented. The purpose of this study is to identify the support that was needed in the disaster area. Therefore, we investigated the necessary support desired by dietitians who lived in the disaster areas. Questionnaires were sent to 1911 dietitians who were members of the JDA and lived in 3 affected prefectures in August 2012. In total, 435 dietitians (22.8%) completed the questionnaire. Among the questions on the questionnaire, we analyzed answers to the open-ended question: “Please write freely about the support that you wanted at the time of the disaster” (n = 332). Using qualitative descriptive analysis, we extracted data from the answers and categorized and labeled them into similar groups. These groups were divided into four categories: (1) “goods,” (2) “establishing a system in advance of a large-scale disaster,” (3) “information,” and (4) “human resources.” To provide “goods,” “information,” and “human resources” to the disaster area smoothly, it is important to plan a “system” in advance of large-scale disasters.

“5.12 Wenchuan earthquake”triggered floods, landslide, collapse and secondary geological disaster, trigger a new soil and water loss, having the significant influence to the local river water quality. This article through the statistical analysis of minjiang river and jiangyou wenchuan, beichuan station 2006 ~ 2011 water conditions material, discussing the before and after the earthquake disaster areas of river water quality change characteristics. The results showed From ammonia nitrogen source analysis, urban sewage and industrial waste water, agricultural non-point source pollution and earthquake that triggered the new soil and water loss is the main pollution source. Based on the hydrological site total hardness concentration prediction, we can find wenchuan earthquake disaster area total hardness concentration significantly increase trend.

The Wenchuan earthquake of the 12th of May 2008, in Sichuan county of China can be classified as a large scale event based on the tectonic structures that triggered the earthquake and the effects caused on the human, structural and natural environment. The aim of this paper is to present the geotectonic and seismotectonic regime of the earthquake affected region based on field data along the seismic fault zone and an attempt is made towards the: (i) estimation of the intensity values according to EMS1998 (European Microseismic Scale, 1998) and ESI2007 (Environmental Seismic Intensity Scale, 2007) and the determination of their geographical distribution in a macroscale, (ii) interpretation of the intensity values data and their distribution according to the seismotectonic, geodynamic and geotechnical regime, and (iii) conduction of a comparative evaluation review on the application of both EMS1998 and ESI2007. The application of both EMS1998 and ESI2007 and the comparative evaluation of the results indicate that the estimated values of EMS1998 and ESI2007 were almost in agreement, despite the fact that the geographical locations of assessment data were different suggesting that the application and use of both scales appears to represent a useful and reliable tool for seismic hazard estimation.

AbstractAfter the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake, people started to pay more attention to charitable activities and to place high hopes in NGOs. Through an extensive analysis of surveys (including 465 surveys from individuals involved in the earthquake, 171 surveys from people who benefited from the charity work, and 60 surveys from the NGOs themselves), meeting notes, and interviews with involved groups and individuals, we found that most people were more than willing to donate their money and time to charity. Those who benefited from the charity work also reported high levels of satisfaction with the government, NGOs, and corporations. However, with respect to NGOs, there remains room for improvement in the areas of credibility, publicity, and transparency of information. Respecting people's distinct donation preferences, NGOs should seize this opportunity to expand the charity market and to educate and develop new volunteers. On the other hand, the government should use a service purchase mechanism to encourage NGOs' involvement in disaster area reconstruction. The government can also consider implementing measures to reward NGOs that were actively involved in disaster relief.

AbstractThrough a review of the relevant literature from CNKI's Chinese Academic Periodical Internet Publication Database and its China Important Newspapers Database, this paper analyzes the coverage of the Wenzhou Earthquake. It answers the following questions: Did the reports following the disaster have any defining patterns or characteristics? What public concerns were reflected in the reports? Which spheres of society will feel the lasting effects of the earthquake? The goal of the essay is to discover what lessons can be drawn from the earthquake disaster and to understand systematically and holistically the significance of the earthquake for Chinese people.
