The basic principles of ultrasonic transducer and ultrasonic elliptical vibration polishing are investigated. A new kind of single-incentive ultrasonic transducer is designed, and the finite element simulation is conducted, a polishing device is developed based on the ultrasonic elliptical vibration. The polishing experiment is adopted to polish a tungsten carbide mold with the diameter 5cm. The experimental result shows that the tungsten carbide mould surface roughness changes from the original 0.026μm to 0.017μm.

Abstract The processed surface contour shape is extracted with the finite element simulation software, and the difference value of contour shape change is used as the parameters of balancing surface roughness to construct the infinitesimal element cutting finite element model of supersonic vibration milling in cutting stability domain. The surface roughness trial scheme is designed in the central composite test design method to analyze the surface roughness test result in the response surface methodology. The surface roughness prediction model is established and optimized. Finally, the finite element simulation model and surface roughness prediction model are verified and analyzed through experiment. The research results show that, compared with the experiment results, the maximum error of finite element simulation model and surface roughness prediction model is 30.9% and12.3%, respectively. So, the model in this paper is accurate and will provide the theoretical basis for optimization study of auxiliary milling process of supersonic vibration.

Based on analysis of the micro-surface and kinematical formulas of elliptical vibration cutting(EVC), the paper presents that frequency and amplitude of vibration parameter affect surface roughness, forming accuracy and machining efficiency of weak rigidity workpiece: increase vibration frequency are result in lower vibration cutting duty cycle , lower cutting force, advancer critical speed, so advance forming accuracy and machining efficiency; decrease amplitude are result in reduce the height of vibration ripples in cutting direction , so improve surface roughness. Experiences of cutting the weak rigidity workpiece by the designed double bending hybrid vibration high transducer, verified that the high frequency elliptical vibration cutting are proved more conducive to machining weak rigidity workpiece.

Maxwell 3D software of finite-element analysis in electromagnetic fields is used to model and simulate the micro disc magneto electric generator. Distribution characteristics of magnetic induction are required and theoretical analysis and calculation is presented. Error between the simulation result and experimental result is about 6% which verify the rationality and accuracy of finite-element simulation. It can be used to guide the structural design and optimization of this type of generator.
