Using the Siemens PLC programmable controller, a new weighing and control integration plan was discussed, and the debugging points was analyzed according to the engineering experience, and the principle part and program details were presented.

“Land treatment” refers to the application of wastewater to the soil to achieve treatment and to meet irrigation needs of the vegetation. Application of wastewater to the land was the first practice used to protect public health and control environmental pollution. This technology has gone through different stages of development with time but it was not until 1840s when the basic principles of this technology started to establish. The use of land treatment for wastewater treatment declined after the development of conventional treatment plants but a renewed interested occurred after the passage of Clean Water Act and especially, during the last two decades. Currently, its application has been expanded in the management of various types of wastewaters including dairy, meat, industrial effluents as well as and polluted water sources. It is recognized as the ideal technology for rural communities, clusters of homes and small industrial units due to low energy demands and low operation and maintenance costs. Furthermore, in conjunction with biomass production can contribute in the control of climate change. A brief historical overview along with an introduction to the fundamental processes the current trends and the future prospects are provided in this section.

Microfluidics is the manipulation and control of fluids in small scale, and has heralded a new age in science as evidenced by the rapid increase in the amount and quality of academic and industrial research output in this area in the recent times. Microfluidics has shown tremendous promise in both fundamental and applied research in the field of vascular bioengineering. In this review, we outline the basic principles of microfluidic flow and fabrication techniques, and describe the recent advances in the applications of microfluidic devices in diagnostic and prognostic vascular bioengineering. The field is still in its infancy and has a great potential for research and development as it matures to deliver commercially viable products. This review, focusing on the current status of microfluidic applications to diagnose and treat blood-related disorders, should be a valuable and opportune addition to the literature of interest to both academia and industry.

The chapter is devoted to the consideration of the issues concerning the cyber security assurance of NPP instrumentation and control systems. A brief overview of the international regulatory framework in the field of cyber security for nuclear facilities is given. The different approaches to the categorization of NPP instrumentation and control systems by cyber security are expressed. The basic principles of cyber security assurance of NPP instrumentation and control systems are considered. The specific measures of cyber security assurance (i.e., graded according to the cyber security levels) on the stages of development, implementation, and operation of NPP instrumentation and control systems are presented.

Coping with an airport disaster is difficult. It is enough to have once been the witness of such an event to understand the enormity of the problem. Instantaneously, the routine atmosphere becomes a nightmare. There are smoke, flames, vehicles, useful people and useless people and above all, the dead, the injured, and the uninjured survivors, some of whom are running about.An airport disaster plan should be carefully set up and applied as strictly as possible. Many features exist in our favor: (a) we know the place; (b) we can roughly evaluate in advance the magnitude of the problem as far as the number of victims is concerned, thanks to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) studies; (c) we can keep in mind the classification of the injured and the medical policy with which now all seem to agree, that is to give on-site immediate care and control evacuation; and (d) we can utilize the medical resources of the surrounding community in a co-ordinated way. This paper summarizes the basic principles for disaster control.
