The study was conducted to determine effects of different levels of humic acid and potassium on the yield and some yield components in chickpea in 2017 in Mardin city. The experiment was laid out in a factorial randomised block design with three replications. The doses were used potassium (0, 10 and 20 kg da-1) and humic acid (0, 30 and 60 kg da-1) in this study. In the study were investigated the plant height, first pod height, branch number per plant, pod, seed number and per plant, biological yield, seed yield per unit, harvest index, 100-seed weight, protein ratio and potassium content in seed. The results of the study indicated that humic acid and potassium applications increased significantly the seed yield and yield components. The highest seed yield was obtained from 20 kg phosphorus da-1 + 60 kg humic acid da-1 application as 286.9 kg da-1.

The study was conducted to determine effects of organic and inorganic fertilization on the yield and some yield components in lentil cultivars in 2014-15 growing seasons in Van. The experiment was laid out in a factorial randomised block design with three replications. The study was conducted to determine effects of different fertilizer sources (Control, DAP, Chicken manure and sheep manure) on the yield and some yield components in two lentil cultivars (Özbek and Kafkas). In the study were investigated the plant height, first pod height, branch number per plant, pod and seed number per plant, seed number per pod, biological yield, seed yield per unit, harvest index, 1000-seed weight and protein ratio in seed. The highest seed yield was obtained from chicken manure application of Özbek cultivar with 157.6 kg da-1.

Abstract In order to study the role of leaf position on yield and yield component of maize, this research was conducted based on randomized complete block design with three replicates at the research field of Urmia University, Urmia, Iran, in 2011. For determine the role of leaf position in maize yield, we used the leaf removing (clipping) treatments. Leaf clipping treatments contain ear leaf clipping, above ear leaf clipping, below ear leaf clipping and control (without leaf clipping) that imposed at one week after ear initiation. Leaf removing had a significant effect on all measured traits (number of seed per row, row number per ear, ear length, 1000 seed weight, seed yield, biological yield), except harvest index. Removing of above leaves decreased 6.68% the number of seeds on ear compare to control. The highest 1000 seed weight (274 g) was observed in plants without leaf clipping. Ear leaf clipping and below ear leaf defoliation ranked second for 1000 seed weight. Whereas plants without any leaf clipping had the utmost seed yield (8.77 t ha-1) but defoliating of leaf above ear lead to lower seed yield (6.77 t ha-1). Leaf removal above ear decreased 22.80% biological yield compared to control. The correlation analysis showed that all traits had positive correlation with seed yield. The most correlation was between ear length and number of row per ear (r=0.89**). Also, number of seed per row (r=0.71**), 1000 seed weight (r=0.67**), ear length (r=0.65**), biological yield and harvest index (r=0.59**) showed the most correlation with seed yield, respectively. Results revealed that the most reduction in all traits accrued in maize plants with above ear leaf clipping, this results indicated that the important roles of leaves position especially the role of above ear leaves in yield and yield components of maize.

In this study, the effects of four different sowing densities (200, 250, 300 and 350 seed m-2) on the yield and yield components for two winter lentil cultivars (Şakar and Fırat-87) in Mardin conditions. The study was laid out in a factorial randomised block design with three replicates at the fields of Mardin Artuklu University, Kızıltepe Vocational High School in 2012-2013 growing season. In the study were investigated the effect of planting densities on the plant height, first pod height, numbers of branche, numbers of pod per plant and numbers of seed per plant, numbers of seed per pod, seed yield per unit area, harvest index, biological yield and 1000 seed weight. While the highest seed yield per area was obtained from second plant density and Şakar variety with 275.23 kg da-1, the lowest seed yield per area was obtained from first plant density and Fırat-87 variety with 208.83 kg da-1.

Abstract In hot and arid regions, drought stress is considered as one of the main reasons for yield reduction. To study the effect of drought stress, iron and zinc spray on the yield and yield components of wheat, an experiment was carried out during the crop seasons of 2010 and 2011 on Shahid Salemi Farm in Ahwaz as a split factorial within randomized complete block design with three replications. The main plots with irrigation factor and three levels were considered: Level A) full irrigation, Level B) stopping irrigation at pollination step, and Level C) stopping irrigation at the seed filling stage. Subsidiary plots were considered with and without iron and zinc spray. Influencing the seed filling process, in interaction with iron, wich is an important leaf's chlorophyll cation, zinc increased the seed yield. The drought stress reduced the thousand kernels weight (TKW) and the number of seeds per spike increased about 24% and 8.5% more than the one of control treatment, respectively. Using iron, as compared with control treatment, causes the increase of thousand kernels weight from 45.71 to 46.83 grams and the increase of spike from 49.51 to 51.73. Zinc spray increased seed yield and thousand kernels weight. The results obtained from the present research showed that iron and zinc spray has fairly improved the effects caused by drought stress.

In order to study interaction between mycorrhiza and bradyrhizobium on yield of soybean under different amounts of starter nitrogen fertilizer, a field experiment was conducted at the agricultural research station, Bu-Ali Sina University in 2015 growing season. A factorial experiment based on randomized complete block design was arranged with three replications. Experiment factors covering three levels of starter nitrogen of 0, 30 and 60 kg ha-1, bradyrhizobiumin two level of inoculated and non-inoculated and mycorrhiza including application and non-application levels. Results indicated that plant height, number of leaves per plant, yield and yield components and biological yield and mycorrhizal symbiosis percent affected by interaction of studied factors significantly. Maximum number of pod per plant achieved from combination of 30 kg Nitrogen and bradyrhizobium. Also both bio-fertilizer was able to increase number of pod per plant. Maximum 1000 seed weight obtained from inoculation of plants with bradyrhizobium and mycorrhiza simultaneously with no nitrogen utilization. Application of 60 kg ha-1 nitrogen caused to decreased mycorrhizal symbiosis about 20.22 percent in comparison with no use of starter fertilizer. Application bradyrhizobium and mycorrhiza under the application of 30 kg ha-1 nitrogen, produced the highest grain yield (511.67 g m-2) and biological yield (1223.16 g m-2).

The experiment was conducted to study the effect of biochar on growth and yield of sesame. In the experiment, the treatment consisted of three varieties, viz., V1 = BARI Til- 2, V2 = BARI Til-3 and V3 = BARI Til-4, and five levels of biocharviz., B0= control (no biochar application), B1= 2 t ha-1, B2= 4 t ha-1, B3= 6 t ha-1 and B4= 8 t ha-1. The experiment was laid out in two factors randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications.Variety, application of different levels of biochar and their interaction showed statistically significant variation in plant height, number of leaves plant-1at 55 and 80 DAS and at harvest, capsules plant-1, seeds capsule-1, 1000-seed weight, seed yield, stover yield, biological yield and harvest index.The highest plant height (70.34, 110.95 and 109.84 cm at 55 and 80 DAS and at harvest respectively), number of leaves plant-1 (80.47, 116.70 and 94.54 at 55, 80 DAS and at harvest, respectively), number of branches plant-1 (3.60), capsules plant-1(80.47), number of seeds capsule-1(56.02),seed yield(1.07tha-1)andharvestindex(36.46%)were observed in the variety BARI Til-4 cultivated with the application of biochar @ 6 t ha-1 (V3*B3) and the lowest one was observed in variety BARI Til-2 with no biochar application (V1*B0).Biochar is effective for increasing growth and yield of sesame. In order to investigate the effects of planting date and plant density on the yield and yield components of bean (Vicia faba L.) cultivars, the experiment was conducted at Safi Abad Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Center in 2017 and 2018. The experiment was performed as the split factorial in the randomized complete block design with three planting dates (Oct. 12, Nov. 1, Nov. 21) as the main plot and three density levels (10, 15 and 20 plants/m2) and two genotypes (Saraziri and line 62) as the subplots with three replications. The considered traits were the number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, 1000-seed weight, grain yield, biological yield and harvest index. The results of this study showed that the planting date, density and genotype, as well as their interactions had a significant effect at 1% and 5% probability level on the yield and yield components of bean.

Microbial fertilizers containing Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus megaterium isolates are one of the important organic fertilizers, which strengthen the immune system of plants against harmful effects and promote the plant growth by fixing nitrogen from the atmosphere, to obtain better quality products. This study was conducted to determine the effects of different liquid microbial fertilizer doses (0, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500 ml 100 L–1) on the yield and yield components of the coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) grown in Bayburt in 2018 and 2019. The experiment was set up as three replicates in randomized complete block design. The results indicated that there was a considerable variation in the yield and yield components of coriander, and the yield significantly increased as the dose of microbial fertilizer was increased. The maximum essential oil content and seed yield were recorded for the plots grown under the F1 and F3 treatment. It was found that the maximum seed yield was obtained in the F3 treatment (839.0 kg ha–1), and the seed yield decreased in the F4 (754.1 kg ha–1) and F5 (759.9 kg ha–1) treatments. Although the increase in the microbial fertilizer dose increases seed yield, using the fertilizer in optimum dose can be more profitable. Therefore, this study suggests that the fertilizer dose “F3” can improve the productivity of the coriander grown in the areas treated with microbial fertilizer.

This study was conducted to determine cultivars which grown at Van ecological conditions and their some important agricultural and plant properties in 2013 summer season in Van. In the study was used 14cultivars which officially registered such as Yaşa-05, Hisar, Azkan, Işık-05, Seçkin, İnci, Diyar-95, Taek, Çağatay, Hasanbey, Aksu, Çakır, Zühal, Ilgaz. The trial was conducted by using randomized complete blocks design with the three replications. In the study were investigated plant height, first pod height, numbers of branches, numbers of pod per plant and numbers of seed per plant, numbers of seed per pod, seed yield per unit area, harvest index, biological yield, 100 seed weight, protein and oil ratio in seed. While the highest seed yield per area was obtained from Işık-05 varieties with 98.65 kg/da, but the difference with Yaşa-05 and Çağatay varieties was not statistically significant, the lowest seed yield per area was obtained from İnci varieties with 60.20 kg da-1.
