The article analyzes the compositional principles of inclusion monuments in the spatial environment of the city. Аннотация. В данной статье рассматривается проблема восприятия городской среды студентами из города и сельской местности. Обозначены определения терминов «среда», «пространственная среда», «городская среда». Проведено экспериментальное сравнительное исследование особенностей восприятия города Бишкек городскими и сельскими студентами в количестве 50 человек. Статья содержит результаты проведенного анализа исследования. Выявлены различия и сходства в восприятии города Бишкек у студентов двух групп. В контексте восприятия города изучена неудовлетворенность прошлым и настоящим временем, трудности языкового барьера у студентов из сельской местности. Также было выявлено, что актуальной для студентов обеих групп является потребность в социальных контактах, общении, включенности в социум. Полученные результаты будут иметь пользу в проведении воспитательной работы со студентами из сельской местности, в оказании поддержки им в период адаптации с учетом особенностей восприятия города студентами. Annotation. This article addresses the problem of perception of the urban environment by students from the city and countryside. The definitions of the terms “environment”, “spatial environment”, and “urban environment” are indicated. An experimental comparative study of the characteristics of the perception of the city of Bishkek by urban and rural students in the amount of 50 people was conducted. The article contains the results of the analysis of the study. The differences and similarities in the perception of the city of Bishkek among students of the two groups are revealed. In the context of the perception of the city, dissatisfaction with the past and the present has been studied, and the difficulties of the language barrier among students from rural areas. It was also revealed that the need for social contacts, communication, inclusion in society is relevant for students of both groups. The results will have the benefit of conducting educational work with students from rural areas, in providing support to them during the adaptation period, taking into account the peculiarities of the perception of the city by students. The article is a review of the part of the research conducted in the framework of the grant of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research “Urban well-being of people with disabilities”. The immediate subject of the article is professional self-realization as a factor of urban well-being of a person with a disability. Well-being is understood as a subjectively constructed phenomenon, that is, through the prism of people with disabilities’ own perceptions of the sufficiency of conditions created in the urban environment for their professional self-realization and, as a consequence, for well-being in general. Professional self-realization has become one of the six factor groups that directly or indirectly influence the urban well-being of citizens with disabilities. Along with professional self-realization, the factors of urban well-being in the framework of the study were: trust in the government and involvement in management processes; the level of implementation of basic values; psychological comfort; accessibility of the spatial environment; and finally, the quality of social services. The five factor groups listed above are not discussed in the article, but the reader should have an idea of the context in which professional self-realization is studied. The study included two sub-samples, reflecting the specifics of a megalopolis (Moscow) and a regional center (Saratov).

Постановка задачи. Работа посвящена выявлению элементов архитектурно-пространственного маркетинга городской среды Челябинска в связи с необходимостью реализации стратегии пространственного развития России и приоритетного федерального проекта «Формирование комфортной городской среды». Для выявления элементов маркетинга в городской среде были рассмотрены: стратегии развития города и области, действующие городские проекты и правила, примеры реализации существующих проектов, маркетинговые мероприятия, элементы историко-культурного наследия. Результаты. При организации архитектурно-пространственной среды Челябинска было выявлено наличие элементов архитектурно-пространственного маркетинга, которые отмечены в указанных документах, в реализации некоторых пунктов документов, в отношении к историко-культурному наследию города. Выводы. Отмечается, что городу необходима разработка концепции на основе применения элементов архитектурно-пространственного маркетинга для создания единого облика. Statement of the problem. The article is devoted to identifying the elements of architectural and spatial marketing of the urban environment of Chelyabinsk in connection with the need to implement the spatial development strategy of Russia and the priority federal project «Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment». To identify the elements of marketing in the urban environment, the following were considered: development strategies of the city and the region, existing city projects and rules, implementation of existing projects, marketing events, elements of historical and cultural heritage. Results. When organizing the architectural and spatial environment of Chelyabinsk, the presence of elements of architectural and spatial marketing, which are noted in the above documents, in the implementation of certain paragraphs of the documents, in relation to the historical and cultural heritage of the city, was revealed. Conclusions. The article notes that the city needs to develop a concept based on the use of architectural and spatial marketing elements to create a single look.

The visual-spatial dimensions of architecture are constantly changing, architects and urban planners are aware and understand the need for a healthy, active, vibrant public outdoor space, creating viable, economically and rationally suitable living spaces in the urban environment [12]. A comprehensive approach to sustainable architecture and design with a green structure combines a high-quality urban environment. In modern architecture, one of the perspective directions in the development of visual-spatial environment and structural forms is related to the active and continuous synthesis of the design and construction process in the urban environment [13; 4]. In recent years, the tendencies of rationalism and commercial nature based on technological progress have entered architecture and create a need for the architects to purposefully cooperate with the urban planners in the elaboration of development plans. The format of mutual cooperation brings together and rationally balances various dimensions of the urban environment in a compact visual-spatial structure. Thus, the aim of the research is to determine the visual-spatial dimensions of modern residential buildings in the context of sustainable urban development.

This article introduces a new concept of ‘temporary identification style of urban areas’ into design terminology and thoroughly considers the features of the term ‘city identification style’ and related concepts. Such types of identification style as the temporary style of an event and the permanent style of a place are analysed. Both of the concepts are considered on the example of the city of Kazan, as in 2017 Kazan has applied for World Design Capital (WDC) status. Different identification style elements expressed in the means of visual communication within the urban environment were systematised, such as art objects, small architectural forms, banners, signboards, flags, and unique landscaping. The city’s temporary identification style creation and implementation principles were developed. Thereby, each concept corresponds to one of the principles formulated, as follows: urban space refers to the principle of actualisation and temporary thematic renewal of the external appearance of the urban environment; urban infrastructure – to the principle of harmonising the city’s subject-spatial environment; cultural life – to the principle of public involvement in creating the urban environment image; the sphere of urban governance and social partnership – to the principle of city management and development through design; informing and information promoting is the principle of implementing design into everyday life.

This study assessed the efficiency of a model of a familiar urban area for enhancing knowledge of the spatial environment by adults with visual impairments. It found a significant improvement in knowledge of spatial configuration after exposure to the model, suggesting that models are powerful means of developing cognitive mapping in people who are visually impaired.
