The article is devoted to the study of Abay's creativity as a historical precedent personality in the context of his ethnopedagogical, historical and translation discourses. Purpose of the work: identifying the essence of Abay's main discourses, analyzing them, determining the contribution of the precedent personality to the historical process of the formation of ethno-identity, as well as clarifying the degree of precedence of the personality and his texts. In the process of analysis, a complex method was used, based on the combination of discursive-historical, cognitive-discursive, and pragmatic-communicative approaches, the method of sociological survey. The results obtained include: description of Abay as a precedent historical personality, widely known for his legislative, social and political activities; a comprehensive analysis of the historical discourse of Abay, the discourse of biy (in Kazakh language), its extralinguistic, cognitive, pragmatic, linguo-stylistic components have been identified and described; the historical character of Abay's translation discourses is established, a comprehensive analysis of such a discourse is carried out, the precedent of the text of Abay's translations is noted. It is concluded that Abay Kunanbaev not only acted as an active historical person who managed to influence the actualization of historical events and their promotion, but also as a poet, translator, who created various discourses (historical, translation, literary). Abay's translation discourse acts as a kind of historical discourse - historical and literary discourse, since it has signs of historicity (created by a historical person, it reflects the features of the historical era). Therefore, these discourses can be analyzed based on a complex discursive-historical and cognitive-discursive approaches.

This article examines the perception and productive acquisition of historical realities thereby questioning the imperative applicability of terms like "victory" or "defeat". This complex matter will be exemplified by an extremely controversial source: the ξυγγραΦή ίστοίων, the History of Kritoboulos of Imbros, an author who is notorious for being a biased admirer of Mehmed II. It will be argued that his work is not a mere product of Ottoman panegyric but a productive and innovative attempt to come to terms with the historical events on a broader scope. In this respect, it offers both an alternative explanatory approach and an innovative counter concept to Christian eschatology contributing to the literary discourse on the perception, interpretation and evaluation of the outcome of events. Hence, focal passages of Kritoboulos’ History such as the introductory letter of dedication and the general assault on Constantinople are analyzed.

The paper shows the transformation of attitudes towards historical events, facts and personalities due to the influence of the thinking paradigms of the modern socio-cultural environment. Objectivity of historical science is a moving thing, because history itself is an organic part of culture, reflecting in its interpretations its mentality and value orientations important for society at a certain period of time. The historical process is a lively cultural stream, filled with unique signs and symbols, ways of demonstration in culture. Modernity determines the attitude of society to the historical process, the importance of personalities and their popularity. Here the historical assessment becomes a reflection of modern realities. We cannot fully feel the influence of the historical character, we can just imagine. We try on the images of the past, fantasize a bit, we give emotions and feelings, including the subjectivity of perception of historical events in modern times. The society draws historical parallels, evaluates the past from the standpoint of the paradigm of thinking that it understands, which leads to the transformation of historical assessments in different historical periods. All of the above, of course, is characteristic of the transformational process of national history, as shown in a number of examples. They reflect the interpretation characteristic of modern society rather than the position of the author. Particular attention is paid to the assessment of the Great Patriotic War, which is necessary to remember to strengthen the unity of the society and to broadcast patriotic values.

Palabras clave: modernidad - historia - filosofía de la historia - crisis de la filosofía de la historia - liberación históricaAbstractIn this article, I reflect on the possibilities of thinking a philosophy that criticizes history today. I am referring to a criticizing philosophy in the sense of a substantive philosophy of history that proposes a series of theoretical and normative aspects allowing to clarify emancipating al- ternatives for action in the Latin American context. I will begin with an analysis of what has come to be called the crisis of classical (or modern) philosophy of history, which formed a kind of reflection on history aimed at constructing a systematic interpretation of Universal History, according to a principle in which historical events are unified in their succession and are directed towards a fundamental meaning. After that, I will review the main contemporary criticisms of this philosophy of history, assessing its accuracies and deficiencies in order to determine what is still valid or invalid in the various proposals of modern or enlightened philosophies of history, and to settle the need for a renewed philosophy of history, not to be reduced to pure methodological aspects, but to discuss the critical and substantive real historical process, with metaphysical and epistemological assumptions different from those of the modern project. Keywords: Modernity - history - philosophy of history - crisis of the philosophy of history - historical liberationResumoNeste artigo, posso refletir sobre as possibilidades de pensar uma filosofia crítica da história hoje.

The article analyzes Tom Stoppard’s historical concept through philological, philosophical and cultural discourse. The article highlights the transformation of the playwright’s views on the historical process: from following the concept of postmodernism to consideration of historical process as included in the Great Chain of Being and objectification of historical events in accordance to Hegel’s determinism. The article covers the influence of Wilson’s and Berlin’s school of history of the ideas on the formation of Stoppard’s history concept. The article highlights the main issues addressed by Stoppard: individual freedom and protection of the human rights; it is noted that the moral and civic pathos of the plays is a distinctive feature of Stoppard’s drama.

This is the first of several essays investigating the continuity of literary theory and of the principles which may account for its development. While critical terminologies change as they respond to problems emerging from the immediate historical process, a continuity, nevertheless, may be observed in the necessity for literary theory to take account of certain persistent relationships which underlie all intellectual disciplines. Among others, for instance, is the epistemological relation of the concept itself to the materials out of which it is formed and to the functions which it is subsequently to fulfil. Although the type of materials and functions will vary with the subject under consideration, the relation of the mental construct to its sources of sensation and to its role in the formation of knowledge remains relatively constant. The relation of the poet's mind, for instance, to its ethical materials, as described by Sidney, is strikingly near to the relation of the natural philosopher's mind to his data as described by Francis Bacon. Bacon seeks a ‘middle course [ratio media]’ between the rationalistic spider and the empirical ant, and finds that the bee ‘gathers its material from the flowers of the garden and of the field, but transforms and digests it by a power of its own.’ The bee goes about the true business of the scientist and represents ‘a closer and purer league between these two faculties, the experimental and the rational, (such as has never yet been made) …. ’ The ratio media in Bacon's material holds a position analogous to that of poetry in Sidney's: the balance between philosophical precept and historical example. This middle way is new, Bacon says, in the scientific method; it defines the intention of literary discourse, however, from its very origins, as I shall try to show, as well as a relationship which literary theory continually attempts to reestablish.

The history of the Indonesian youth political movement in 1928 not only inherited national politics with the ties of "imagine of Indonesia" as a homeland, nation and language, namely Indonesia. But it also gave birth to the view that youth is the core of change. This view became the belief of Indonesian youth in the 1940s to be involved in the revolutionary wave of "imagine of Indonesia" in a more critical and progressive manner in political actions. This paper aims to explain youth activism in Jakarta around a more advanced proclamation, accelerating from national politics to populist politics. There were two strongest youth node organizations in Jakarta at that time, Asrama Menteng Raya 31 and Prapatan 10. Both of them brought together young people from different ethnic and national backgrounds. But the youth political movement in the 1940s had a more populist political tone with its political activities carrying out political education work in order to mobilize people's awareness of the struggle for independence. Then the youth in Jakarta formed an organizational node called the Angkatan Pemuda Indonesia (API), which contributed to the historical events of the grand meeting at Ikada Square on September 19, 1945. Where Sukarno spoke as President of Indonesia for the first time in front of a mass mobilized by youth after the reading of the proclamation on August 17, 1945.

The need for a special linguistic-historiographical study is due to the need to study the studies of those syntax who denied the thesis of the defining structural and mental features of single-syllable sentences. On this basis, the need to systematize the concepts of monosyllabic/ disyllabe complexity of simple sentences available in modern linguistics is actualized. The timeliness of such a comprehensive analysis should contribute to the classification system of simple sentences, as well as elucidation of psycho- and neurolinguistic mechanisms of their generation. The purpose of the study is the disclosure of the concepts of linguists of the 19th century at the beginning of the 21st century related to the study of the syntax of mono-compound sentences in Indo-European languages. The task of the article is also to trace the rudiments of psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic approaches in linguistic-historical discourse. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that on a wide range of factual material an attempt has been made to carry out a comprehensive linguistic-historiographic study of the syntax of monosyllabic sentences taking into account the evolution of the views of linguists on various aspects of the analyzed issues: from formal-syntactic to neuropsychological. The use of an integrated approach allowed to reach a qualitatively new level of generalizations. The latest theories and the involvement of a large number of facts have made it possible to obtain certain results in the study of the monosyllabic/ disyllabe of a simple sentence.

The article presents a comprehensive analysis of one of the key problems of the theory of needs: factors of their nucleation and growth. Based on a study of a continuous process of human interaction with the surrounding objective reality, there are three relatively independent factors: objective, an objective-subjective and purely subjective. The article focuses on the fact that it is the unity of the mentioned factors provides historical process of formation and elevation of society´s needs.

Abstract In this article we explore the British editorial project of the Universal History and its reception in the Lusophone world in the late eighteenth century. Focusing on the changes in the experience of history, we analyze how this project was designed to attend to the aspirations of an expanding readership and the rise of different temporal experiences existing in that world. We argued that these new expectations for a cosmopolitan view of the historical process couldn't emerge only from the boundaries of traditional narratives focused in rhetorical decorum and demands from the contemporary erudite scholarship in the academies. Lastly, we investigate how Antônio de Moraes Silva, a Luso-Brazilian man of letters, compiled and translated theHistory of Portugal from a French extended edition of theUniversal History . Our main intention was to show how this edition highlights the impossibility of establishing a uniform and harmonious representation of the historical process and events in a context of dissolution of the traditional functions of historical discourse.
