This research's research problem is how to solve problems using office electronic equipment to make it more efficient by using internet technology as a medium for controlling air conditioning, computers, and lights. Sometimes we still find a room with electronic equipment such as air conditioning, computers, and lights that are always on even though they are not used, so it seems wasteful and inefficient. Therefore we need an Internet of Things-based smart office system that can regulate and control conditions. office electronic equipment from anywhere via the internet network can help identify and monitor whether it is on or off. The control system is expected to help place and watch remote electronic device turns on and off via a user interface. This research aims to design a smart office system based on the internet of things so that it can be used to identify and control office electronic equipment flexibly. This study resulted in a prototype of a smart office system based on the internet of things that can help identify and maintain electronic equipment in the office.

<p>The number of robotics used globally is gradually growing, according to a variety of research. They are becoming more and more popular in different workplaces, like manufacturing, distribution, medical conditions, military, inaccessible areas, etc. The internet of things (IoT) and robotics groups have until now been guided by a set of, but somewhat compatible, goals, which are mainly to help knowledge systems in the field of general sensing, tracking, and monitoring. Therefore, the development of an internet of robotic things (IoRT), which incorporates the outcome from both cultures, is progressively said to have a significant added benefit. Internet of robotic things, the intersection of the Internet of Things and robotics, is where self-sufficient machines will assemble information from various sensors and speak with one another to perform errands including basic reasoning. As the name suggests, IoRT is the combination of two front-line innovations, the internet of things and robotics. People can manage any electronic device in homes with IoT and can also be used in contactless applications in healthcare. The constrained application protocol (CoAP), for the management and control of a community of homogeneous sensor modules, has recently endorsed multicast communications in IoRT. It will boost connectivity performance, less power consumption due to data aggregation, and enhanced security features with DTLS security features for various applications for the internet of things. This paper presents an implementation of the CoAP framework on IoRT sky motes using the Contiki Cooja Simulator that will be a useful healthcare sector that will confirm their potential and therefore, new research directions are outlined</p>

In this digital age, human dependency on technology in various fields has been increasing tremendously. Torrential amounts of different electronic products are being manufactured daily for everyday use. With this advancement in the world of Internet technology, cybersecurity of software and hardware systems are now prerequisites for major business’ operations. Every technology on the market has multiple vulnerabilities that are exploited by hackers and cyber-criminals daily to manipulate data sometimes for malicious purposes. In any system, the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is a fundamental component for ensuring the security of devices from digital attacks. Recognition of new developing digital threats is getting harder for existing IDS. Furthermore, advanced frameworks are required for IDS to function both efficiently and effectively. The commonly observed cyber-attacks in the business domain include minor attacks used for stealing private data. This article presents a deep learning methodology for detecting cyber-attacks on the Internet of Things using a Long Short Term Networks classifier. Our extensive experimental testing show an Accuracy of 99.09%, F1-score of 99.46%, and Recall of 99.51%, respectively. A detailed metric representing our results in tabular form was used to compare how our model was better than other state-of-the-art models in detecting cyber-attacks with proficiency.

The history of the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) covers the last twenty years. Despite the short of time, the concept and implementation of the Internet of Things have widely spread all over the world. The impetus of the dissemination of the concept has exponential speed. In the near future, billions of smart sensors and devices will interact with one another without human intervention. The early impact of the Internet of Things has been observed and discussed in the areas of technology, transportation, production, and marketing. The prospective effect of the Internet of Things on the finance sector has been discussed recently. In this study, the development of the concept of the Internet of Things and it is effect on the finance sector and specifically the insurance and banking sectors and future expectations have been evaluated.

Automation and digitalization, as long-term evolutionary processes, cause significant effects, such as the transformation of occupations and job profiles, changes to employment forms, and a more significant role for the platform economy, generating challenges for social policy. This systematic literature review aims to provide an overview of the research to date related to influences of the Industry 4.0 Revolution on human capital development and consumer behavior. A search on the Web of Science identified 160 papers that met the inclusion criteria. The major objectives aimed to identify: the main types of influences of the Industry 4.0 Revolution on human capital development and consumer behavior; the main opportunities and challenges for new directions in education associated with shifting the work environment; and the drivers for human capital development and consumer behavior through the lenses of the Industry 4.0 Revolution. The results revealed some key aspects for the development of human capital: information, new jobs, the Internet, technology, training, education, new skills, automation, communication, innovativeness, professionals, productivity, artificial intelligence, digitalization, e-recruitment, and the Internet of Things, as well as the main drivers of consumer behavior: information, e-commerce, digitalization, the Internet of Things, e-distribution, technology, digitalization, automation, personalized, performance, artificial intelligence, behavior intention, e-shopping, and data mining.

The paper focuses on the intelligent logistics pallet, networking, traceability information technology and unified logistics information system, and puts forward unified traceability information system of intelligent logistics pallet based on the Internet of things (IOT), displaying innovative system realization method and technical system. IOT intelligent logistic pallet traceability system is an integrated fusion application of RFID, GIS, GPS, computer telecommunication integration together with Internet technology; in system design and implementation, TOT and RFID coupling mechanism, CTI and API interface programming are adopted for construction of three intelligent system service architecture of logistics pallet traceability system including application, business and physics; in the logistics pallet regular operation, reading and writing RFID equipments, labels and telecommunications network, Internet, and other unified information communication mode are fused into the intelligent logistics information system, so as to realize the intelligent logistics pallet identity identification and traceability function. The system test output results indicate that, intelligent logistics pallet unified information system is equipped with intelligent recognition, management and tracing function and business process reengineering capacity including production promotion, distribution, transport logistics and allocation.

Separating data and control planes by Software-Defined Networking (SDN) not only handles networks centrally and smartly. However, through implementing innovative protocols by centralized controllers, it also contributes flexibility to computer networks. The Internet-of-Things (IoT) and the implementation of 5G have increased the number of heterogeneous connected devices, creating a huge amount of data. Hence, the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning is significant. Thanks to SDN controllers, which are programmable and versatile enough to incorporate machine learning algorithms to handle the underlying networks while keeping the network abstracted from controller applications. In this chapter, a software-defined networking management system powered by AI (SDNMS-PAI) is proposed for end-to-end (E2E) heterogeneous networks. By applying artificial intelligence to the controller, we will demonstrate this regarding E2E resource management. SDNMS-PAI provides an architecture with a global view of the underlying network and manages the E2E heterogeneous networks with AI learning.

There is a certain allure to the idea that cities allow a person to both feel at home and like a stranger in the same place. That one can know the streets and shops, avenues and alleys, while also going days without being recognized. But as elites fill cities with “smart” technologies — turning them into platforms for the “Internet of Things” (IoT): sensors and computation embedded within physical objects that then connect, communicate, and/or transmit information with or between each other through the Internet — there is little escape from a seamless web of surveillance and power. This paper will outline a social theory of the “smart city” by developing our Deleuzian concept of the “spectrum of control.” We present two illustrative examples: biometric surveillance as a form of monitoring, and automated policing as a particularly brutal and exacting form of manipulation. We conclude by offering normative guidelines for governance of the pervasive surveillance and control mechanisms that constitute an emerging critical infrastructure of the “smart city.”

Increasing the implication of growing data generated by the Internet of Things (IoT) brings the focus toward extracting knowledge from sensors’ raw data. In the current cloud computing architecture, all the IoT raw data is transmitted to the cloud for processing, storage, and control things. Nevertheless, the scenario of sending all raw data to the cloud is inefficient as it wastes the bandwidth and increases the network load. This problem can be solved by Providing IoT Gateway at the edge layer with the required intelligence to gain the Knowledge from raw data to decide to actuate or offload complicated tasks to the cloud. This collaboration between cloud and edge called distributed intelligence. This work highlights the distributed intelligence concept in IoT. It presents a deep investigation of distributed intelligence between cloud and edge layers under IoT architecture, with an emphasis on its vision, applications, and research challenges. This work aims to bring the attention of IoT specialists to distributed intelligence and its role to deduce current IoT challenges such as availability, mobility, energy efficiency, security, scalability, interoperability, and reliability.
