This study aims to determine how the representation of the value of character education in Islamic preaching on social media. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The population in this study were videos of Islamic da'wah on YouTube social media. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation techniques and note-taking techniques. The data that has been collected is then analyzed based on representation theory to describe the representation of the value of character education contained in Islamic da'wah videos on Youtube social media. The results showed that the preaching of Islam on social media, especially Youtube, represented the value of character education in the form of honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independence, love for the country, friendship, and responsibility. These themes are in accordance with the elements of character education formulated by Kemendiknas in 2010. The representation of the value of character education in Islamic preaching on social media can be used as a medium for teaching character education in schools.

One of the dynamics of language use that appears on social media today is the use of slang as a reflection of current language development. This phenomenon is interesting to discuss, especially regarding the purpose of using slang or why slang is widely used when using social media. The data source for this research is the verbal form contained in the author's personal social media such as WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram, as well as YouTube social media. The documentation method is used in data collection with note-taking techniques, especially slang words. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the theory of Patridge (1950), which is about 15 purposes for using Slang. The results of the analysis show that slang is used for various purposes, especially as a funny ingredient, to look different and contemporary, to facilitate social relations, to reduce seriousness in conversations, to encourage deep intimacy. There are also other goals such as to present oneself, to avoid pleasantries, to show superiority, and also to do something secretive.

This study aims to describe the values of character education contained in the short story "Ambe Masih Sakit" by Emil Amir. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subject of the research is the speech or dialogue that comes from the actors in the short story "Ambe Masih Sakit" by Emil Amir which was quoted from the Kompas newspaper published on March 2012. The data that was the target of the study were obtained using listening and note-taking techniques. The results of the study show that the values of character education include honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independence, democracy, curiosity, friendly/communicative, social care, responsibility, and religion. This is evidenced by the speech or dialogue that describes the figure of a man named Upta who grows and develops in living his freedom in living together with other people. It is illustrated that Upta respects differences in religion, ethnicity, ethnicity, opinions, attitudes and actions of people who are different from himself. Upta is described as a man who works hard and is responsible for his family

The past decades have brought many changes to education, including the role of social media in education. Social media data offer educational researchers first-hand insights into educational processes. This is different from most traditional and often obtrusive data collection methods (e.g., interviews and surveys). Many researchers have explored the role of social media in education, such as the value of social media in the classroom, the relationship between academic achievement and social media. However, the role of social media in educational research, including data collection and analysis from social media, has been examined to a far lesser degree. This study seeks to discuss the potential of social media for educational research. The purpose of this chapter is to illustrate the process of collecting and analyzing social media data through a pilot study of current math educational conditions.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the implementation of Thematic Qur'anic learning in SD Aisyiyah Malang, (2) the character of students who emerged through this program. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were the vice-principal and the Tahfiz teacher. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of thematic tahfizh Qur'an learning at SD Aisyiyah Malang consisted of four stages, namely the verse selection stage, the film screening stage, the memorization stage, and the evaluation stage. Through the thematic tahfizh Qur'an program implemented in SD Aisyiyah Malang, four characters appear in children, namely the value of religious characters, including the value of pious faith and tolerance; the value of character integrity, shown in honesty, example, politeness, love for truth; independent character values, including hard work, discipline, courage, and learners; and the character values of cooperation, including cooperation, solidarity, and mutual assistance.Keywords: Character Building, Learning, Thematic Qur'anic TahfizhAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahi (1) implementasi pembelajaran tahfizh Qur’an Tematik di SD Aisyiyah Kota Malang, (2) karakter siswa yang muncul melalui program ini. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah wakil kepala sekolah dan guru tahfizh. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran tahfizh Qur’an tematik di SD Aisyiyah Kota Malang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu tahap pemilihan ayat, tahap pemutaran film, tahap menghafal, dan tahap evaluasi. Melalui program tahfizh Qur’an tematik yang dilaksanakan di SD Aisyiyah Kota Malang, tampak empat karakter yang muncul pada anak, yaitu nilai karakter religius, termasuk di dalamnya nilai beriman bertaqwa, dan toleransi; nilai karakter integritas, tampak pada kejujuran, keteladanan, kesantunan, cinta pada kebenaran; nilai karakter mandiri, termasuk pada kerja keras, disiplin, berani, dan pembelajar; dan nilai karakter gotong royong, termasuk di dalamnya kerja sama, solidaritas, dan saling menolong.Kata Kunci: Pembentukan Karakter, Pembelajaran, Tahfizh Qur’an

<div align="center"><table class="KisiTabel1" width="658" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" width="453"><p><strong>Abstract: </strong>This study aims to determine and describe the shape of the teacher's imperative speech in learning and find out the factors that cause violations of the imperative politeness by the teacher towards students in learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with data in the form of teacher's speech in learning. Data collection techniques using listening techniques, note taking, and interviews, while data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that in reality the teacher violated more politeness in language when using imperative speech to students. This can be seen from the number of utterances. Speeches were found as many as 120, while those that violated 102 speeches, 18 were speeches that obeyed politeness in language. The factors that cause the occurrence of imperative politeness violations committed by teachers are mostly caused by the lack of teacher understanding of the importance of imperative language politeness in learning.</p><p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan wujud tuturan imperatif guru dalam pembelajaran dan mengetahui faktor yang menyebabkan pelanggaran kesantunan imperatif oleh guru terhadap peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan data berupa tuturan guru dalam pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak, catat, dan wawancara, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kenyataannya guru lebih banyak melanggar kesantunan berbahasa pada saat menggunakan tuturan imperatif kepada peserta didik. Hal tersebut dapat diketahui dari jumlah tuturan. Tuturan yang ditemukan sebanyak 120, sedangkan yang melanggar sebanyak 102 tuturan dan 18 tuturan yang mematuhi kesantunan berbahasa. Faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya pelanggaran kesantunan imperatif yang dilakukan oleh guru paling banyak disebabkan oleh kurangnya pemahaman guru akan pentingnya kesantunan berbahasa imperatif dalam pembelajaran.<strong> </strong></p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>

Social Media has become one of the major industries in the world. It has been noted that almost three fourth of the world's population use social media. This has instigated many researches towards social media. One such useful application is the sentimental analysis of real time social media data for security purposes. The insights that are generated can be used by law enforcement agencies and for intelligence purposes. There are many types of analyses that have been done for security purposes. Here, the authors propose a comprehensive software application which will meticulously scrape data from Twitter and analyse them using the lexicon based analysis to look for possible threats. They propose a methodology to obtain a quantitative result called criticality to assess the level of threat for a public event. The results can be used to understand people's opinions and comments with regard to specific events. The proposed system combines this lexicon based sentimental analysis along with deep data collection and segregates the emotions into different levels to analyse the threat for an event.

This study focused on the analysis of irregularities featured form in the novel Kiat Sukses Hancur Lebur by Martin Suryajaya. The research variables were forms of lexical, grammatical, paragraph, discourse, plot, and forms of narrative delivery. This research was a qualitative descriptive study and data collection was conducted by reading and note taking techniques. The results found that many deviations such as selection of odd words, the formation of incoherent sentences and paragraphs, the discourse that presents a critique of capitalism and postmodernism through symbols, as well as the emergence of unusual forms of novel structures namely footnotes, charts, diagrams, schematics, paintings, drawings, line types, pictures, photographs, tables, balance sheets, formulas, maps and bibliography. These deviations show the author’s unique style and novelty in the form of aesthetic absurdity in the treasury of contemporary Indonesian literature.
