A company should maintain an adequate or optimal level of inventory so that production operations can run smoothly and efficiently. What needs to be considered in this case is that the required raw materials are always available, so as to guarantee the smooth production process. However, the amount of inventory should not be too much because this will harm the company. Too much inventory will increase maintenance costs and storage costs in the warehouse. In addition, the amount of inventory that is too much can also increase the likelihood of losses due to damage and loss of quality that can reduce company profits. And vice versa, the amount of inventory that is too small will hamper the production process so that the company will suffer a lot of losses including: the machine does not work as it should, many workers are unemployed, and can even result in the cessation of the production process. This study aims to determine how the calculation of raw materials, what is the total cost of raw material inventory if the company establishes an EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) policy, what is the limit or point of ordering raw materials needed by the company during the grace period at PT.Bentoel International Investama in Malang.The population used is the supply of tobacco raw materials at PT. Bentoel International Investama, where this research was conducted by interview and documentation. The variable in this study is the supply of raw materials. The analysis used is the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method.The results of the study, if using the EOQ method in 2017 the cost savings of Rp 40,290,256,931, while in 2018 the cost savings of Rp. 44,388,428,549. Thus there is a difference between inventory policies carried out according to the company with EOQ calculations. It can be concluded that the supply of raw materials every year has increased raw materials, the frequency of purchasing raw materials when using raw materials when using the EOQ method is 2 times in one period, the limit for ordering raw materials needed by companies when using the 2017 EOQ method is 218,176.7 kg, while in 2018 it will be 210,853 kg. The total cost of raw material inventory calculated according to EOQ is less than that spent by the company, so there is a cost savings of raw material inventory

Research and results of the calculations carried out, when using the EOQ method in the procurement of raw material cost savings will be obtained. If the organization of the raw materials based on EOQ methods, there will be cost savings in 2008 amounted to Rp303.763.020,- in 2009 amounted Rp393.450.766,- the year 2010 amounted to Rp411.567.748,-. Thus, it means that there are very real differences between the policies conducted by Inventory Company with the calculation according to the EOQ.From the results above, it can be concluded that the supply of raw materials each year has the difference of raw material inventory, the frequency of buying raw materials when using the EOQ method is 2 times in one period (1year), limit or point of ordering raw materials which is needed by the company when using the EOQ method of 2008 amounted to 9188.81 kg in 2009 amounted to 9869.47 kg and 2010 amounted to 11105.52 kg. Total cost of raw materials inventory, calculated according to the EOQ which is less than that released by the company, then there are cost savings when the company uses EOQ method in term of raw material inventory.

            The current study aims to analyze the supply of raw materials for yankees bakery bread specifically for wheat flour, granulated sugar. This research is done for 2 months, from January to February 2018. Data analysis is used by researchers using the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) to carry out orders to determine how many orders. From the results of this study the amount of inventory is optimal, EOQ of wheat flour in the third quarter of 2017 is 4,807.29 kg, dosage is 137.28 kg, done (ROP), the remaining stock is 265.68 kg, the total cost is Rp. 971,420. The fourth quarter of 2017 is 5,217.66 kg frequency 2 times, safety supplies 69 kg, reorder (ROP) stocks in warehouses remaining 198.11 kg, the total cost of inventory is Rp. 1,054,346. Based on the results of the study concluded that EOQ is more efficient. Then the cost of the raw material for Yankees Bakery is used EOQ in the supply of raw materials. Penelitian saat ini bertujuan menganalisis sediaan bahan baku roti yankees bakery khusus bahan tepung terigu, gula pasir. Penelitian yang ini dikerjakan lamanya 2 bulan, dari bulan Januari hingga bulan Februari 2018. Analisis data dipergunakan peneliti menggunakan EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) melaksanakan pesanan menentukan seberapa banyak pesanan. Dari hasil penelitian ini jumlah persediaan menjadi optimal, EOQ tepung terigu triwulan tiga tahun 2017 banyaknya 4.807,29 kg, sediaan 137,28 kg, dilakukan (ROP) sediaan sisa 265,68 kg, total biaya Rp. 971.420. Triwulan keempat tahun 2017 sebanyak 5.217,66 kg frekuensi 2 kali, persediaan pengaman 69 kg, melakukan pemesanan ulang (ROP) sediaan di gudang tersisa 198,11 kg, total biaya persediaan sebesar Rp. 1.054.346. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan EOQ lebih efisien. Maka hematan biaya sedia bahan baku Yankees Bakery gunakan EOQ di sediaan bahan baku.

The purpose of the implementation of this research is to find the effectiveness of supplies raw materials, the method of analysis data used in the square is the smallest trend for planning raw materials and controling supplies use method of economic order quantity (EOQ) analyze reorder point. Analysis reorder point and safety stock. And analyzes efficiency cost of raw materials. Forecasting raw materials years 20x7 according to the smallest trend, cloth and dakron happened the difference is greater than of the target needed (according to a company); controling supplies raw materials with the methods eoq in 20x7 more effective than reservations raw materials cloth and dakron and more efficient than cost raw materials. The company should review the policy of forecasting raw material supplies that had been undertaken and make planning supplies the raw material that more accurate using the firm’s historical data and not only targeting the output production next year, so that machines production can be optimized. Considering the use of control supplies with the methods economic order quantity to companies, so this analysis can determine material reservations, supplies safety, maximum supplies to avoid the risk of running out of raw materials, because the companies often happened less dressed up a result of reservations that time is inaccurate, the lack of safety stock and the deferred the delivery of goods which often disturb the production process, by this method can prevent these things, so that the production process can run smoothly and minimize the cost of raw materials supplies.

Persediaan merupakan aset perusahaan yang memiliki peran penting dalam operasi bisnis, sehingga perusahaan penting untuk melakukan manajemen persediaan yang baik, artinya perusahaan harus mampu mengantisipasi kendala maupun tantangan yang ada dalam pengelolahan persediaan untuk meminimalisasi total biaya yang harus dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan. Permasalahan yang timbul pada persediaan bahan baku di PT XYZ adalah perusahaan melakukan perencanaan dan pengendalian bahan baku hanya berdasarkan pada pengalaman-pengalaman sebelumnya dan tidak berdasarkan pada metode yang sudah baku. Oleh karena itu pembelian bahan baku tidak sesuai dengan permintaan konsumen. Hal tersebut sering menyebabkan terjadinya kelebihan maupun kekurangan stok bahan baku. Kesalahan dalam penentuan besarnya investasi dalam persediaan akan mengurangi keuntungan perusahaan. Adanya persediaan bahan baku yang terlalu besar, akan menambah beban biaya pemeliharaan dan penyimpanan dalam gudang, serta kemungkinan terjadinya penurunan kualitas bahan baku yang dapat menyebabkan berkurangnya keuntungan perusahaan. Namun jika persediaan bahan baku terlalu sedikit maka akan berakibat pada terhambatnya proses produksi, sehingga tidak terpenuhinya permintaan konsumen. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menyimpulkan bahwa perencanaan kebutuhan bahan baku dengan metode perusahaan didapatkan total cost sebesar Rp 1.796.762.429,-, sedangkan metode Material Requirements Planning (MRP) didapatkan total cost sebesar Rp 1.576.011.801,-. Maka dapat disimpulkan telah terjadi penurunan total cost seluruh bahan baku sebesar 12,28%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa metode Material Requirements Planning (MRP) lebih efisien daripada metode PT. XYZ. Oleh karena itu untuk mendapatkan total cost yang minimum, metode Material Requirements Planning (MRP) diterapkan pada periode Februari-Juni 2020 sehingga didapatkan total cost sebesar Rp 1.576.011.801,-. ABSTRACT                     Inventory is a company asset that has an important role in business operations, so the company is important to conduct good inventory management, meaning that the company must be able to anticipate obstacles and challenges that exist in managing inventory to minimize the total cost to be incurred by the company.The problem that arises in the supply of raw materials in PT XYZ is that the company plans and controls raw materials based only on previous experiences and not based on established methods. Therefore, the purchase of raw materials is not in accordance with consumer demand. This often leads to excess or shortage of raw material stock. Mistakes in determining the amount of investment in inventories will reduce company profits. The availability of raw materials that are too large, will add to the burden of maintenance and storage costs in the warehouse, as well as the possibility of a decline in the quality of raw materials that can lead to reduced company profits. However, if the supply of raw materials is too little, it will result in obstruction of the production process, so that consumer demand is not fulfilled. The results of this study can conclude that the planning of raw material needs by the company method obtained a total cost of Rp 1,796,762,429, - while the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) method obtained a total cost of Rp 1,576,011,801, -. Then it can be concluded that there has been a decrease in the total cost of all raw materials by 12.28%. This proves that the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) method is more efficient than the PT. XYZ.             The cost of raw material inventory is a sacrifice of economic resources, measured in units of money, which have occurred or are likely to occur for raw material inventory, consisting of purchase costs, storage costs, and inventory shortage. This study aims to determine (1) Total Inventory Cost (TIC) based on RM policy. Kinamang Fuel Fish and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method during 2017 (2) Frequency of ordering of efficient fish raw material during 2017 (3) Quantity of safety stock and when to reorder point of raw materials fish in RM. Ikan Bakar Kinamang during 2017. This research is a descriptive research with qualitative approach. And use case study method. The result of the research shows that the Cost of Fish Raw Material Supplies at Kinamang Fuel Fish Restaurant is still not economical because the purchase (order) is only based on the previous sales estimate, and does not take into account economically the expenses incurred for the purchase and storage of fish raw materials the. Precisely with the calculation of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), the cost of raw materials inventory of fish is much less, and can determine properly and correctly about the safety stock (safety stock), and reorder (reorder point).Keywords: Inventory Cost, EOQ, Frequency, Safety Stock, ROP

Controlling and determining of inventory is an important thing in order to produce efficiently and able to make smooth sales. The purpose of this research is to know an analysis of controlling raw material inventoriesin the manufacture of brick by using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to increase efficiency of the total inventory costin Stan Kayu Sinar Sowi. The raw material of brick is rough sand and cements. Type of case study research through a qualitative approach by means of interviews, observation and documentation. Case study on a wood booth business in Manokwari, West Papua. The results of the study that the purchase of raw materials made by the company is considered less efficient, because company policies tend to cause expenditure to be greater in the amount of Rp.606,620,250 for 12 months (1 period), while using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method will issue a fee of Rp.550,712,500 for the same period. Using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method, the order quantity is higher and the order frequency will be lower, resulting in order cost savings and increasing the total inventory cost efficiency.

PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang is an engineering company engaged in fabrication, machining and side parts. PT. Tri Jaya Teknik started pioneering a business since 2007 and started owning and occupying its own workshop in 2009. Currently the company already has 2 plant workshops with a total area of 3,080 m2 and has about 100 employees. One of the products produced is Fuji seat, based on the data collected there are 3 parts of the process. The 3 parts of the process are repair 1, repair 2, repair 3. With each there is a check parts & packing table. The method used in companies to manage raw material inventories is still conventional, namely by making continuous purchases without estimating according to needs. So that there is often an excess of raw materials or a shortage of raw materials at a certain time, this makes the costs incurred inefficient and often disrupts the production process. A review of the inventory capacity of Fuji Seat products in this study was carried out using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model. The main raw material inventory data used is Fuji Seat in the 2016-2019 period. Holding cost raw materials is set by PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang is 2.5% of the price per pcs, this value is used for procurement and repair of tools and equipment in the warehouse. If there is no damage, the cost is allocated to the warehouse manager in that month. Meanwhile, the cost of ordering which consists of the price of goods and shipping costs is determined by PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang, amounting to IDR 100,000.00. This fee includes administration and transportation costs. Administrative costs, namely executive salaries and other supporters, as well as taxes related to the company. The cost of shipping transport is the distance traveled and the weight of the product ordered. Based on the calculation of EOQ (Economic Order Quantity), the most economical amount of raw materials using the EOQ model is 6,815.5 Pcs with 187 purchases a year. PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang adalah perusahaan engineering yang bergerak di bidang fabrikasi, machining dan part samping. PT. Metode yang digunakan pada perusahaan untuk mengelola persediaan bahan baku masih secara konvensional, yaitu dengan melakukan pembelian terus menerus tanpa memperkirakan sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Sehingga seringkali terjadi kelebihan bahan baku atau kekurangan bahan baku di saat tertentu, hal ini membuat biaya yang dikeluarkan menjadi tidak efisien dan sering kali mengganggu proses produksi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mampu mengetahui perhitungan EOQ dan frekuensi pembelian yang paling ekonomis dalam perusahaan. Tinjauan kapasitas persediaan produk Fuji Seat dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Data persediaan bahan baku utama yang digunakan adalah Fuji Seat pada periode 2016-2019.Biaya penyimpanan bahan baku di tetapkan oleh pihak PT. Tri Jaya Teknik Karawang sebesar 2,5% dari harga per pcs, nilai tersebut digunakan untuk keperluan pengadaan dan perbaikan

Various fruits can be tranformed into delicious edible foods like chips. That was a basic idea which inspired “Sanur” Fruit Chips Agroinduntry to make chips which based on fruits processing. This agroindustry still performs traditional methods to manage its fruit inventory as raw material. This lead to a fluctuation and uncertainty in inventory stock. The traditional inventory in this agroindustry also caused a bottleneck in production process. The research was aimed to : (1) determine the economic order quantity of fruit chips agroindustry. (2) determine the most efficient re-order point of inventory in “Sanur” Fruit Chips Agroindustry. The research was descriptive and analytical. The key informant was selected purposively based on some criteria. Data was collected by using interview and observation. The result showed that : (1) economic order quantity was more preferable than Lot for Lot and tradional methods. (2) the traditional re-order point method in “Sanur” fruit chips agroindustry was not efficient. It was indicated by the safety stock, the amount of procurement and the inventory of minimum raw materials which showed full uncertain.

Abstract Abstract Purpose: This research is a form of raw material inventory planning using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method for fried corn products at UMK Tiga Bersaudara Kupang City. Research Methodology: This research method used a quantitative approach. The data analysis technique used is forecasting, EOQ, and Safety Stock. Results: The outcome of this study is the creation of a raw material inventory that can be applied by the UMK Tiga Bersaudara in carrying out its production. The number of orders for raw materials has also been identified using the EOQ method. To avoid shortages of raw materials, a calculation of how much safety stock is needed in the next period has also been calculated. Limitation: This calculation is predictive so that the reality in the field can change in the future. Contribution: Companies are advised to plan raw material inventory using the methods used in this study, namely forecasting, EOQ, SS, and calculating the total cost of inventory.

Inventory control is a very important issue. It is because the amount of inventory will determine or affect the smoothness of the production process as well as the effectiveness and efficiency of the company. PT Semen Padang is a manufacturing company that produces 10,400,000 tons of cement per year. The achievement of the cement production target at this company depends on the availability of raw materials needed in the cement production process itself. Gypsum is an additional material of the cement production process which is very important because it is a raw material that must exist in the process of making cement. So, if the inventory of gypsum cannot meet the needs of production, then the production process of cement making will be disrupted. PT Semen Padang is using the Min-Max method for inventory control. But the costs are quite high. The cost of inventory can be minimized by using another method such as EOQ (Economic Order Quantity). The conclusions of this research are in 2016 by using EOQ method, the optimal order quantity is 32,073 ton per order, and the frequency is 9 times in a year with total cost Rp. 4,757,673,813.48, and in 2017, the optimal order quantity is 34,856 tons per order and the frequency is 9 times in a year with total cost Rp. 9,694,805,608.36.
