Introduction. The severity of the labor process is one of the leading harmful factors of working conditions in greenhouse vegetable growing. Nevertheless, its influence on the formation of health disorders of vegetable growers has not been sufficiently studied. Material and methods. Physiological, hygienic and epidemiological studies were carried out, which included an assessment of the severity of work in the annual cycle, also the functional state of the cardiorespiratory system and the neuromuscular system in the dynamics of the work shift, the general morbidity of vegetable growers according to registration forms No. 025/y. Results. During the labor activity, vegetable growers were established to be exposed to physical overloads caused by the severity of the labor process (classes 3.2, 3.3) in combination with a heating microclimate (classes 3.1-3.3). By the end of the work shift, there was an increase relative to the initial levels of heart rate (p<0.05), a decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure, a reduction of maximum muscle strength (by 3.76-5.28%), and endurance of the muscles of the hands (by 18.5-33.15%). This indicated a decrease in working capacity and an increase in fatigue. A reduction in the Skibinski index (by 21.7%) and an increase in the index of resistance to hypoxia (by 38.9%) indicated a decrease in the body’s reserves of oxygen. Increased working levels of the index of functional changes testify about the tension of adaptation mechanisms and insufficient restoration of the body’s resources by the beginning of the shift. A decrease in the body’s physical condition and adaptive capabilities with an increase in professional experience was revealed (p<0.05). There were established statistically significant direct correlations between the prevalence of diseases of the circulatory system (r=0.6), musculoskeletal system, and connective tissue (r=0.35) with work experience in the profession (p<0.05). Conclusion. The revealed violations of the functional state and health of female vegetable growers result from the influence of physical overload in a heating microclimate. The priority measures for the prevention of health disorders of vegetable growers are to reduce physical overload and thermal effects of the working environment.

Introduction. Teacher’s health problems depend on many factors. However, research has focused on psychological stressors. The goal is to assess the factors of the school environment and determine the impact of seniority and the level of academic load on the health status of secondary school teachers. Material and methods. Assessment of working conditions of teachers was studied on hygienic characteristics and their research in 11 schools. There were studied conditions of the school environment (microclimate, lighting) and the timing of the teachers’ labor process. A clinical and psychological examination of 53 women with an average age of 50.0 (44.0-59.0) years, work experience - 27.0 (19.0-34.0), load - 25.0 (21.0-32.0) hours per week. According to the indices of harmfulness and danger of factors of the working environment, the severity and intensity of the labor process, the class of working conditions in only 25% of the examined corresponded to the permissible class. The frequency of increased irritability, hypertension, emotional exhaustion, reduced stress resistance is higher in the group of teachers with experience of 20 years or more. Discussion. Teachers of secondary general education are exposed not only to occupational stress, but also to the effects of the negative conditions of the school environment and the labor process. Conclusions. Targeted studies of the conditions of the school environment, factors of the educational process must be carried out to identify their impact on the health status of teachers.

AbstractOne of the essential elements of work technology assessment is task performance time. In the working day structure, production times are crucial; however, under certain conditions, complementary work times can have a share of up to 30%. Accurate determination of the time structure of a work shift is very time consuming and requires time measurements using the methods of cumulative timing or snapshot observations. For this reason, the overall share of complementary work times in a work shift is usually estimated roughly, equally for all timber harvesting conditions. The aim of this study was to determine the impact of selected working environment factors on the share of complementary work times in a work shift, in technologies on the manual-machine and the machine levels. The analyses were carried out in 33 forest districts of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Wrocław. Among forest contractors, surveys were carried out to analyse the time structure of a working day. For each forest district, analyses of environmental factors potentially relevant to the share of complementary work times in a work shift were carried out; these included field features, dispersion of stands, features of timber, area accessibility. The total share of complementary work times in the machine-level technology variant amounted to approx. 40% and was higher than the manual-machine technological variant, where this share amounted to approx. 35%. The models developed for standardization of the share of variability of complementary work times, in the case of the manual-machine technology level, took into account the share of timber assortments with the length of over 2.5 m as well as the share of upland and mountain sites. In the case of timber harvesting at the machine technology level, the standardization model included as significant the factors such as the share of coniferous forest sites, the number of forest complexes with an area of over 100 hectares, and the total length of roads. Therefore, the above features could be selected as decisive for the share of the complementary work time category out of the full set of environmental variables taken into consideration in the estimation of the time-consumption of timber harvesting processes.

In the article there are presented results of the study of the impact of working of mechanicians-drivers performing cotton-plant defoliation with a new import-substituting low-toxic defoliant denoted as «Fandef-Alo» on a functional state of various systems of the organism. Working conditions and the character of labor processes under the execution of defoliation were revealed to give rise in adverse shifts of physiological responses of various systems of the organism in mechanician-drivers, and the noise and the overwork labor process elevate the probability for the risk of the occurrence of occupational diseases that is indicates to the need for measures for the making labor healthy.

Now a days there are many interpersonal conflict with colleagues in the work environment there may arises a negative sentimental reaction may arises in the team to achieve the goal or to move to the higher position. If the head of the team may want to give some sentimental treatment to the team members he or she want to face the interpersonal conflicts it is also one of the part in their work experience. However the manger can handle the issues and inter personal conflicts may decide the worth of the manager. Rao on the studies he can able to find the working capacity and their performance of the managers the interpersonal conflicts can plays a major role in the bank sector. The managers can be well concentrated in their work and can find out minimum of 15% of interpersonal conflicts which can determines the capacity of the managers. The sentimental prediction can play a major role in the work place how the manger can react to the other workers and how they handing the issues that are arises in the working environment. The face reaction which may shows the how the person can react to others in the any part of situation. The current paper shows how the manger can react to the issue depending on their mode for the arise of interpersonal conflicts

The methodology for assessing occupational risks currently occupies a priority place in assessing the impact of production factors on the health of workers. The main sources of information for assessing the levels of occupational risks include data obtained in the course of state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance, a special assessment of working conditions and production control. To date, there is a need to harmonize legislation on a special assessment of working conditions and sanitary and hygienic requirements in terms of the list of factors of the working environment and the labor process subject to research and measurement. An adequate assessment of occupational risks is possible only on the basis of the use of consolidated databases on working conditions obtained from various sources.

In the article there is considered the problem of the impact of factors of the long voyage on the body of sailors-operators of logical and sensory profile of the activity. The aim of the study is to estimate indices both of body functions and performance of marine specialists operators of video display terminals during the long voyage. The experimental group included 27 crew members from the command, the Navigator group, group of locations and communications, professionals exploiting videodisplay terminals. Functions of operators bodies during the period 65-day voyage were studied with the use of the techniques of the assessment of indices of the subjective status, cardiorespiratory, central nervous system and physical performance. There were established adverse changes in the functional state of the organism, pronounced by the decline in levels of conditioned-reflex activity, the exertion of the cardiorespiratory system at rest and in the deterioration of physical performance from the second month of sailing and persisting until the end of the voyage, despite the optimal level of factors of the habitability at the ship. The leading adverse factors included the decrease of the motor activity by 2.5 - 3 times if compared to pre-trip levels and the intense operator activity. This necessitated the development of manners and means of the preservation of the occupational health of seafarers-operators in long voyages, as well as the improvement of the hygienic regulations of the conditions of their professional activity in the courts.

AbstractThe impact of employment for individuals with mental health problems is complex. However, research suggests that when support is provided for accessing employment and gaining roles and skills that are valued by others, a positive effect can be seen on recovery. Employment-related support can take many forms and there is a need for further research into the experience of accessing different kinds of services. The current paper examines the lived experience of 11 people participating in a UK social enterprise providing work experience, training, and skills development for those with mental health problems. Although ‘sheltered’, the organisational ethos strongly emphasised service-user empowerment, co-production, equality with staff, provision of valued social roles and person-centred support. Phenomenological analysis revealed that participants valued a sense of belonging and authentic relationships within the service, whilst being given the opportunity to rediscover an identity that may have been lost because of their mental health problem. However, participants also discussed how, although the service improved their self-value, some feared the ‘real world’ outside of the service and were unsure whether they would be met with the same support. Tensions between field dominant approaches in supported employment and the experiences and values of the participants are explored. We argue that the findings highlight the importance of a nurturing working environment and the value for recovery of a range of meaningful roles, beyond competitive employment.

The rail transport is the one of the leading sectors of the national economy. More than 50% of the employees of the enterprises of the railway complex work under the unfavourable impact of hazardous and dangerous substances and occupational factors. In the literature issues of working conditions and health of employees of railway carrepairing plant are hardly highlighted. The aim of the study is the evaluation of the morbidity rate shaped under the influence of harmful occupational factors for the elaboration of preventive measures. In the work there were used generally accepted methods of hygienic studies, analysis of morbidity rate with temporary disability (TD), according to records of periodic medical examinations, occupational prevalence. The railway car-repairing plant was established to be characterized by the complex of harmful factors of the working environment and labor process: noise, local vibration, industrial aerosols of complex composition, chemicals, low light, hardness of the labor process. The levels of incidence with temporal disability in the studied groups, depending on the work seniority in the harmful labor conditions, significantly decrease with the experience from 5 to 9 years and increase with the experience more than 10 years. Executed in-depth analysis as of the both morbidity rate and TD, as well results of periodic medical examinations of workers of main shops shows that overall indices of the morbidity rate and TD are significantly higher than in the comparison group; levels of the morbidity rate and TD in the observed groups significantly decline depending on the length of service in hazardous working conditions with a length of the experience offrom 5 to 9 years and increase with the increase in the length of experience of 10 years or more. In the structure of morbidity and TD leading positions are occupied by diseases of the respiratory system, musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, circulatory system and digestive system, diseases of the eye and its appendages. The health damage risk coefficients in the studied groups of workers and the average losses of working time due to the morbidity with TD per 1 employee in all shops are higher than those in the comparison group. The level of the occupational morbidity rate is very low. Harmful working conditions contribute to the development of general and occupationally related diseases.
