This study aims to investigate the personal digital information practices of engineering faculty members in terms of finding, organizing, keeping, and re-finding information. Quantitative research design based on survey method was used to collect data through structured questionnaire. Simple random sampling technique was applied to get response from engineering faculty members. They perceived that their information gathering and finding skills were good and they coped well with gathered information of their interest. Findings revealed that faculty members classified and sorted gathered information to re-find it latter. They also kept information that had potential to be useful in future. Respondents used different ways to re-find their saved information including keywords search, browse through folder structure, access through bookmark, and use of memory. It is noted that browsing information through folder names, and bookmarks were also a common practice among engineering faculty. Findings also revealed that there was statistically significant difference between male and female faculty members’ PIM practices. Faculty members perceived that they were skillful in finding information while they were less-proficient in organizing and re-finding information. Thus, they also have to face different types of challenges such as technology obsolescence, assessing future value of information, information fragmentation and memory load in remembering the location of information. The findings of engineering faculty members’ PIM practices have significant implications for faculty themselves, educational technologist, digital library developers, and educational policy makers.

The study was intended to find out the level of Scientific Attitude and academic achievement of B.Ed., trainees. This study involves a survey method. The size of the sample in the study was 941 B.Ed., trainees who were selected through the simple random sampling technique. The main objectives of the study are to the level of Scientific Attitude and academic achievement of B.Ed., trainees. To find out the significant difference in the Mean Scores of the level of scientific attitude and academic achievement of B.Ed., trainees with respect to the Demographic variables such as Gender, Year of Study, Subject, Locality of College. To find out whether there is any significant relationship between the Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement of B.Ed., Trainees. The Statistical procedures used in this study were; Mean, Standard Deviation, ‘t’ test, and correlation to analyze the data. The Major findings of the study were; i) The level of Scientific Attitude and academic achievement of B.Ed., trainees is above average. ii) Female B.Ed., Trainees are a significantly higher level of Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement than the Male B.Ed., Trainees. iii) Second-year B.Ed., Trainees are a significantly higher level of Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement than the First-year B.Ed., Trainees. iv) The B.Ed., Trainees of Language Subject is significantly Higher Scientific Attitude than the Science Subject and Arts Subject. At the same time, the Science Subject is significantly having a higher level of Scientific Attitude than the Arts Subject. v) Urban B.Ed., Trainees are significantly higher levels of Scientific Attitude than the Rural B.Ed., Trainees. vi) There is a significant indifferent or negligible positive relationship between the Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement. It's my conclusion that the present study reveals that there is several B.Ed., trainees who are having an above-average of the scientific attitude. However, the Academic Achievement of B.Ed., trainees are quite high.

The role of teacher is proficient, be composed of academic, didactic and social roles. Academic roles cover teaching, instructing and supervisory characters and pedagogical characters include instructional, valuation and simplifying roles. The study aimed to identify the teaching competency of secondary school teachers. The investigator adopted survey method to study the teaching competency between teachers from selected government, private and aided school. For this study a sample of 300 school teachers from eight various schools which are situated in Palakkad district selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings revealed that there is no significant difference towards teaching competency among selected secondary school teachers with respect to personal variables like Gender, Marital Status, Educational Qualification, Type of Management and Teaching experience. The findings of the study help to discover the teaching competency of secondary school teachers in the society.

In this study the investigator made an attempt to find out the awareness about Clean India Programme of prospective teachers in Tirunelveli District with respect to their gender, locality, type of family, type of college, religion, age, parental income.  Survey method was adopted for the study. Using simple random sampling technique the investigators selected a sample of 60 prospective teachers as sample foe analysis. The findings revealed that the prospective teachers did not differ in their awareness about clean India programme with respect to the gender, location of the college, type of the family, type of the college, religion, age and parental income. Thus we conclude that the prospective teachers in Tirunelveli district have no significant difference in their awareness about Clean India programme.  The level of awareness about Clean India Programme was at moderate level.

<div><p><em>The present study was conducted to investigate home environment and academic self- concept as predictors of career maturity among adolescents. Descriptive survey method of research was used for collecting the data using Home Environment Scale by Sarla Java and Academic Self Concept Scale (ASCS) by Reynolds et al. (1980). </em><em>A representative sample of 400 (200 boys and 200 girls) Xth class students was drawn from schools located in the Hyderabad city using simple random sampling technique. </em><em>Descriptive, correlational and inferential statistics were used to compute correlations and to compare the means between the groups. Findings of the study revealed that (1) there is significant relationship between home environment, academic self-concept and career maturity of students. (2) there is significant difference between boys &amp; girls and rural &amp; urban in respect of their home environment, academic self- concept and career maturity and (3) there is significant difference between rural and urban students in respect of their home environment and career maturity, however insignificant difference is found in case of rural and urban on the measure of academic self- concept.</em><em> The above analysis suggests that career development of adolescents should be taken as a challenge not only by the adolescents themselves but also by educationists, psychologists and administrators to develop maturity in career decision and goal selection. They should be guided and trained to make congruence between career behaviour and his expected behaviour at that age. Lesser is the gap between the two greater is the maturity in the individuals’ career.</em></p></div>

Language and life are inter-related. The scope of language is widened with the widening scope of human activity. Today there is no activity, which does not find its expression in terms of language. Listening and reading are passive or receptive skills and speaking and writing are active or productive skills. The paper is an attempt to find to identify the receptive skills in English among B.Ed trainees. The investigator adopted the survey method to study receptive skills of B.Ed trainees. The study is based on primary data which is collected from 300 BEd trainees in and around Coimbatore district using simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that totally 25% of the selected B.Ed. trainees belong to low level of receptive skill, 46.6% of the selected BEd trainees belong to moderate level of receptive skill, 26.6% of the selected BEd trainees belong to high level of receptive skill. Also it is found that there is no significant difference in receptive among the selected B.Ed trainees based on gender and locality.

The present study attempted to find out the level of attitude towards research of prospective teacher educators. The researchers have used the descriptive survey method for the present study. For this study 108 prospective teacher educators were taken as a sample from govt. aided college and private college. Out of 108 M.Ed students 42 were male and 66 were female students.40 students were studying in Govt. aided college and 68 students were completing their degree from private college of education. The simple random sampling technique was used to collect data. The scale used by the investigator was Attitude towards research by Vishal Sood and Sharma (2012). Data analysis was done with the help of mean, SD, t-test. The result shows that the levesl of Attitude towards research among M.Ed students were moderate. It was also revealed from the study that there is significant difference between the male and female prospective teacher educators’ research attitude. The research attitude of female students was comparatively better than male students. The investigators also found out that there exists no significant difference between the prospective teacher educators pursuing their degree from different types of colleges.

The present study was Academic Self Image of B.Ed., trainees in the perambalur district. The main objectives of the study are to find out the academic self-image of B.Ed., trainees concerning the Demographic variables such as gender, year of study, subject, locality of college, marital status. A sample was using the survey method, and the simple random sampling technique was adopted for the selection of the sample. The samples of 941 B.Ed., trainees were taken from the study. The main findings of the study are there is no significant difference in the mean scores on the academic selfimage of B.Ed., trainees concerning their gender, subject, and marital status. There is a significant difference in the mean scores on the academic self-image of B.Ed., trainees concerning their year of study, locality of college. It’s my conclusion that the present study reveals that there is morenumber of B.Ed., Trainees have a high academic self-image.

School students need clear boundaries: boundaries that adults - parents as well as teachers - must set. We cannot abdicate our responsibility when students move outside those boundaries. To do that is to betray children, because the consequences of bad behaviour are so damaging It is the duty of the parents and teachers to create disciplinary awareness. The study aimed to examine the disciplinary awareness among secondary school students. The investigator adopted survey method to study the disciplinary awareness among school students. For this study a sample of 300 school students from 5 Govt and Private schools which are situated in and around Udumalpet town of Tirupur district in Tamil Nadu were selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that 28.33% of the school students belong to low level of disciplinary awareness, 43.66% of school students the belong to moderate level of disciplinary awareness, 28% of  school students belong to high level of disciplinary awareness. Also it is found that there is a significant difference in attitude towards disciplinary awareness between male and female among school students. Females possess better disciplinary awareness than male students.

       Optimization of rice productivity in paddy fields is one of the opportunities to increase national rice production. The not optimal productivity of rice in paddy fields, among others, is caused by various things, especially ethanol rice farming, which faces technical, social, and economic obstacles to develop a more profitable rice commodity. Fertilization management practices greatly affect productivity, if productivity is increased, resulting in higher income and enabling farmers to save and accumulate capital. The income earned by a farmer is the reward that the farming family receives from the use of production factors, labor, and capital invested in the business sector. This study aims to determine (i) the productivity of rainfed lowland rice farming, (ii) explicit costs, revenues, and income of rainfed lowland rice farming in Cempaka Village, Cempaka District, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province. The research was conducted from March-May 2020. The method used in this study was a survey method with observational techniques, where the sampling technique was carried out by simple random sampling of 217 households taken 14% so that 30 respondents were obtained. The results showed that the productivity of rainfed lowland rice farming was 1,265.00 kg/respondent or 3.5 tons/ha. The average explicit cost is Rp. 1.751.506,83 / respondent or Rp. 4.865.296.74 / ha, the average revenue of Rp. 6.325.000 / respondent or Rp. 17.569.444,44 / ha and an average income of Rp. 4.573.493,17 / respondent or Rp. 12.704.147,71 / ha.

The essential of the study is the multiplying unfamiliarity of e-resources due to the let-down of electricity, which is a common problem in Palakkad area. Related other reasons are absence of time to utilize the I.T lab in time. The investigators and students from all disciplines are set to use e-Books in future. In order to build more teachers professional development and to improve the research practise they need in e-journals and e-books. The study aimed to examine the awareness on e-resources among B.Ed student teachers. The investigator adopted survey method to study the awareness on e-resources among B.Ed student teachers. For this study a sample of 200 B.Ed student teachers from three B.Ed training colleges which are situated in and around Palakkad district in Kerala selected by the investigator using simple random sampling technique. The findings reveal that there is no significant difference in the awareness of e-resources and e-resource technology among B.Ed Student Teachers.
