A mathematical model is a description of a system using mathematical concepts and language. The process of developing a mathematical model is termed mathematical modeling. Mathematical models are used in the natural sciences (such as physics, biology, earth science, chemistry) and engineering disciplines (such as computer science, electrical engineering), as well as in the social sciences (such as economics, psychology, sociology, political science). The main activities involved in this procedure are observation followed by mathematical modeling; simulation, analysis, optimization and back to observation, Mathematics has been applied to all sciences; and religious and military sciences are no exception, and mathematics can be used highly to design different war operations and solve battlefield equations to gain relative or absolute superiority over the enemy. We can also see clearly the application of mathematics in the Game Theory of war in abundance. In this applied research, conducted in a library method, the challenges between the army of Amir al-Mu’minin, ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib (as), and the army of Muʿāwiya ibn Abī Sufyān in the Battle of Siffin have been modeled using Game Theory and the strategies of each of these two fronts are compared.

In order to effectively alleviate the congestion of power exchange stations, the game theory was used to discuss the spatial characteristics of electric vehicle power exchange demand, analyze the decision making and game process of electric vehicle users specifically. Moreover, on the basis of the research, the specific way of setting the price of the exchange station was proposed and the game mathematical model was constructed.

The gradual development of society and innovations in the Russian economy over the past century has led to the emergence of market relations in the country, which, unlike the planned economy that existed before, meant freedom of development and action. However, because such changes, market participants had to pay attention to new factors - risk, competition, etc. To improve the efficiency and results of decisions made in the given conditions, enterprises use game theory, thanks to which each agent can predict the actions of other agents and develop a strategy for his own game that would bring maximum benefit. Originally, game theory was a formal branch of mathematical science, although it was used to study primary economic models of the mid-20th century. However, after the Second World War, scientists acquired a more serious interest in this area, and they began to apply it in various spheres of human activity. Nowadays, game theory is actively developing, and it is used to create and analyze mathematical theoretical and applied models. This paper considers the basic concepts applicable in the analysis and optimization of the banking services market, namely, game theory, game, uncertainty, Herfindahl- Hirschman index, Nash equation, etc. Within the framework of this theory, the banking services market of the Russian segment of the world market as of 2015-2019 is considered; and an assessment of possible market situations, the agents’ moves and their effectiveness is given. A mathematical model of the strategy choice by the players in the Russian segment of the banking services market is presented, which implies reflection and interaction between players.

The goal of applied mathematics is to develop and implement the automated systems, services and support to execute engineering goals. Game theory is always a domain of choice for development of strategy to enhance the usability of mathematical applications. Today, there is rarely any system which works without keeping mathematics behind the curtain. A recent trend in medical imaging leads via mathematical algorithmic development for brain tumor analysis. The deep learning technology is a mathematical strategic solution to identify the brain tumor from medical resonance imaging. The game theory strategic development is necessary for mathematical modeling of image technologies as pixel level calculations are required. Hence, this paper shows the newly developed mathematical modeling for efficient brain tumor detection using game theory and set theory. This paper also suggests the new algorithm which is ported from mathematical modeling for deep learning brain tumor image processing.

The article discusses the use of the mathematical apparatus of game theory in strategic marketing. The use of the game theory toolkit in the formation of the marketing strategies of an enterprise has been investigated. According to the results of the study, it has been established that the introduction of game theory methods into marketing activities will make it possible to analyze complex socio-economic systems for solving strategic problems. Game theory models can be thought of as games of strategies or actions, such as setting prices, setting the size of output, determining the cost of advertising, or determining the cost of promoting products to the market. It is noted that game theory can predict the results of competitive situations and help choose optimal strategies. For practical work in strategic marketing, it is of particular importance that game theory allows you to choose optimal strategies that can improve the structure and outcome of the game. The use of the conceptual apparatus of the theory in economic theory is analyzed using the example of quantitative models of duopoly and the concept of equilibrium. The description of the mathematical model of strategic interaction is formalized, which reflects the inherent features of the conflict. The procedure for applying game theory in the formation of marketing strategies of enterprises is analyzed and the main stages of the procedure for choosing an optimal marketing strategy using game theory are highlighted. An algorithm for applying the mathematical apparatus of game theory in marketing activities is proposed. When developing a marketing strategy for an enterprise, general marketing goals are considered, depending on the level of strategic management and goals concerning individual elements of the marketing mix. A "tree of goals" of an enterprise for a marketing complex is proposed when forming a marketing strategy of an enterprise using the mathematical apparatus of game theory. A payment matrix has been formed, which makes it possible to determine possible optimal strategies and options for the game. The problems of using the mathematical apparatus in the formation of the marketing strategies of the enterprise are highlighted. The conceptual apparatus has been determined and basic tasks have been formulated, with the help of which the game theory toolkit allows making decisions in the marketing activities of an enterprise. Keywords: game theory, strategy, strategic marketing, marketing strategy, strategic decisions, mathematical model, decision making.

Whether engaged in design, construction, maintenance or operations activities, Naval Architects and Marine Engineers are continually engaged in negotiation and decision making. However, very little formal negotiation and decision-making training exists for NAMEs, despite the fact that in recent decades there have been significant developments in the game theory field. These developments in game theory have resulted in a standardized terminology and provide theoretical and mathematical concepts that, when adopted in the maritime community, could provide significant advantages to the initiated professional. This paper provides introductions to game theory concepts that have immediate application to typical activities that NAMEs are engaged in on a day-to-day basis. Application of these concepts can result in better and more rapid decision making and assists in the disentanglement of technical and operational problems when they occur. Understanding of these concepts can be as vital as oral and written communication skills for engineers to be able to successfully achieve their technical objectives for the client’s and the public’s best interests. This paper presents these concepts at an introductory level and provides several maritime examples, but also provides a substantial amount of references and a bibliography to allow further study on the subject. Game theory concepts discussed in this paper include the Prisoner’s Dilemma, Tit for Tat, the Nash equilibrium, BATNA, Pareto optimality, and the OODA loop.

In this paper a non-linear mathematical model is proposed for a qualitative representation of ecosystem dynamics in a eutrophied water body. The model variables are the concentration of nutrients, densities of algal population, zooplankton population, detritus and the concentration of dissolved oxygen. The model consists of five coupled ordinary differential equations. By using the qualitative theory of differential equations the model steady-state dynamics are studied. Simulation analysis is also performed to see the effect of rate of input of nutrients on different variables participating in the proposed model.

Mathematical modeling of heat aggregates is one of the fundamental methods of the mathematical modelling research. A mathematical model based on the method of elementary balances was created for the thermal treatment of granular and lumpy materials. The adaptation of the selected aggregate model is based on prior knowledge and experiments. The paper presents an adaptation of the mathematical model for the magnesite processing rotary furnace using the mode of caustic and clinker production. A simulation of the charge preheater impact based on the thin layer principle is implemented into the model. The main advantages of using this type of preheater of rotary furnace are smaller dimensions for a large exchange surface and low pressure losses.

It is very common to find systems that include mathematical concepts that can be interpreted in real ones. When it is possible to establish some precise identification of the elements of a system on the one hand, and the phenomena or objects of a real situation, on the other, there is a mathematical model of a real situation. The objective of this paper is to present how this can be built to teaching situations, highlighting the possibilities and limits of technical modeling
