This article provides a theoretical overview of existing research with particular focus on the types and models of media impact on the individual and society. The analysis of scientific literature has revealed that despite popularity and extensity of exploration of the issue in the scientific discourse some major inconsistencies are still observed. It should be noted that in most cases the studies are fragmentary, the influence of the media on various social groups is mostly considered from one specific position, and the lack of clearly developed criteria for the typology of media impact. Summarizing the accumulated knowledge in this area, we tried, despite the complexity of identifying and systematizing the classification of media impact, to present a complex typology of media influence on the individual and society.

A typology of strategies, tactics and techniques used in the discourse of social advertising is proposed in the article. The relevance of modeling the tools of communicative impact in social advertising is determined by the persuasive nature of the discourse of social communications, as well as the insufficient development of this issue in the scientific literature. The author of the article relies on the studies of linguists who proposed the classification of communicative strategies used in commercial advertising, as well as in the discourse of socio-political newspapers. The material for analysis was the polycode texts of Russian and foreign social advertising (outdoor advertising, social videos, as well as social photo projects posted on Instagram). The result of the study was a model of communicative strategies and tactics that constitute the discourse of social advertising. Since the effect of persuasiveness is achieved, among other things, by using different types of semiotic codes in the advertising text, special attention is paid to the verbal and visual implementation of the selected strategies, tactics and techniques. The author comes to the conclusion that the frustration strategy based on tactics of escalating negative emotions , shocking with facts and negative forecasting is the basis for the discourse of social advertising. Moreover, the main part of the identified strategies and tactics is invariant for the media discourse as a whole.

This paper seeks to demonstrate that both the media impact and political success of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot rest on their use of new media, on the one hand, and on an aesthetic principle of humour, on the other, or, more specifically, on a kind of humour that is both self-reflexive and subversive. Pussy Riot operate through a style of guerrilla communication that re-signifies signs and symbols for their own purpose in a self-ironical, comical manner. I will indicate the contradictions and ambiguities of various interpretive frameworks – which not only create humour but are particularly motivating factors in the (personal) decision to become politically active. The speed with which one can communicate within social networks made it possible that infectious laughter about the absurdity of the events in Moscow was able to spread so rapidly. Reassurance and the community’s solidarity were closely connected to the fun and joy of the individual internet user.

Abstract. For a comprehensive study of tropes and stylistic figures of the Ukrainian language is extremely important to learn the basic functions of tropes in the scientific linguistic articles. The actuality of the research topic is determined by the need of a systematic study of tropes and stylistic figures that are traditionally considered unusual for the text, but we will try to prove that they are relevant. In modern scientific literature, the expressive and emotional function is presented and implemented by the help of such tools as epithets and metaphors. The study of the linguistic features of scientific discourse is of great importance to find ways of explaining a certain material. The study, using a free associative experiment, has led to the conclusion that the use of artistic means and stylistic figures in the educational and scientific texts makes it possible to master the material better. Generally speaking, the use of artistic means in scientific texts is not widespread, but the student audience prefers these texts. The use of metaphors, epithets, phraseologisms, comparisons, periphrases in professional articles is an effective way of highlighting important elements of scientific discourse, forming the individual style of the researcher. If the text is addressed to the reader for educational purposes, the correct use of paths will facilitate the quickest possible understanding of the basic thought of the message. In our view, a promising direction is the further study of communicative analysis of tropes in scientific texts.

Consideration of the method of committing crimes as a key element of the characteristics of crimes committed using information and telecommunication technologies during the period of current restrictions in Russia COVID-19; empirical analysis of the views of criminologists on the way of committing fraud; classification of methods of computer fraud during a pandemic. Methodology: when writing the article, the author used the methods of empirical (observation of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country and the state of crime) and theoretical research, through observation, monitoring and comparison — data from the media; information provided by the official websites of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the General Prosecutor’s Office. Conclusions. An analysis of the established views of domestic and foreign criminologists on the method of committing cyber fraud allows us to draw conclusions about the lack of special knowledge about the method of committing a crime, criminological classification of fraudulent actions and the presence of differences in understanding the method of committing fraud in the sciences of criminology, criminal law and forensics. The use of the classification proposed by the author of the ways of committing fraud in the future, in our opinion, will allow to reflect in detail the online reality in the mind of the subject, reduce the process of victimization of the individual and minimize virtual risks. Scientific and practical significance. The conclusions and proposals contained in the article can be used in the process of improving legislation in order to prevent fraud on the global Internet and through telephone communications, serve as material for further scientific research in the field of information and telecommunications crime. The conclusions and suggestions made can be taken into account when creating special programs aimed at preventing fraud. The conclusions and results of the article may be of practical importance for the development of separate programs for control over the crime of victimization of the population and in lawmaking activities while improving the Russian legislation.

The harmonious existence of the individual in the modern informational era, which is overly saturated with rapidly developing media technologies, is almost impossible without the developed readiness of the individual for lifelong continuous self-education. The formation and development of this readiness can begin during the formal training at the stage of higher education of the person and continue during informal education throughout his future life. Stages of socialization and professionalization of the person have a great influence on the level nature of this readiness. Based on scientific achievements in the field of self-education of university students, national and world media education, we developed dynamic and competence models of media educational concept of developing a person’s readiness for lifelong self-education. The concept demonstrates interconnection of these two models, as well as consistency with the previously developed normative model of developing this readiness.

Universals Archive (Universal #1926) indicates a universal tendency for sound symbolism in reference to the expression of diminutives and augmentatives. The research ( Štekauer et al. 2009 ) carried out on European languages has not proved the tendency at all. Therefore, our research was extended to cover three language families – Indo-European, Niger-Congo and Austronesian. A three-step analysis examining different aspects of phonetic symbolism was carried out on a core vocabulary of 35 lexical items. A research sample was selected out of 60 languages. The evaluative markers were analyzed according to both phonetic classification of vowels and consonants and Ultan's and Niewenhuis' conclusions on the dominance of palatal and post-alveolar consonants in diminutive markers. Finally, the data obtained in our sample languages was evaluated by means of a three-dimensional model illustrating the place of articulation of the individual segments.
