The article considers the results of research on the role of emotional intelligence in the process of professional activity, this direction was expressed almost simultaneously with the emergence of the concept of emotional intelligence and to this day does not lose relevance due to practical needs. Social work plays an important role in managing the process of planning, supervising, and ensuring the sustainability of protective and supportive measures applied to children who are dragged into crime and in need of protection in order to prevent incompatibilities that may arise in society. Social workers are actors in the field in the execution of the process. In this chapter, these practitioners who have made significant contributions to social work by giving reports and opinions about the measures taken by the courts about the children dragged into crime, determining the criminal tendencies of the children and the necessary precautions and training, are examined closely in the context of the Turkish legal system. The chapter includes the issues of judicial control, protective and supportive measures, preparation of a plan for the implementation of cautionary decisions, confidentiality, the role of the social worker and the social worker board for children who are dragged into crime and in need of protection.

In this talk delivered to social workers, Winnicott brings his understanding of professional psychiatry, with its attempts to treat severe mental illness using a more humane approach, together with his belief in dynamic psychology—the emotional development of the individual derived from the study of psychoanalysis—into a closer connection with one another. He charts a brief outline of psychoanalysis and interprets the psychoses through it. He sees the importance of early environmental factors in mental illness and the possible effects of this on maturation. He comments on depression both normal and psychotic in type, on his theories of personalization, of feeling real, and, through early dependence, the gradual growth of the functioning self. He also gives an empathic view of the role of the social worker in the difficult work of treating acute mental ill health.

AbstractSince long one can observe definite tendencies to professionalize the role of social workers. In a research project will be investigated with which type of unplanned consequences these tendencies are connected. The research will be concluded towards the end of 1972. The following hypotheses will be tested: (1) The lesser the possibilities to integrate practical procedures into the professional base of knowledge, the greater the loss of plausibility of the professional role at the beginning of the professional career. (2) The greater the incompatibility between expectations for control and structures of control performance, the more conflicts will occur in welfare organizations. (3) Patterns of adaptation will be adopted in the course of the professional career which enable a settlement of the discrepancies between occupational expectations of the social worker and restrictions of his organization. Such patterns of adaptation are the following: avoidance, organizational innovation, immunization of the base of knowledge and acceptance of bureaucratic role interpretations.

Referring to scientific literature, the article aims to define definition and model Emotional intelligence (EI). Emotional intelligence (EI), the term first used in 1966, is still considered a new area of science.  The increase in requirements for social workers and their personal and professional qualities made it important to know their own emotions and those of the others and manage them. Personal qualities – self-awareness, motivation, flexibility, interpersonal skills, the ability to adapt to change, to understand and recognize emotions is very important to the social worker's activities. Management of emotional intelligence in the personal and interpersonal community social worker activities is one of the main acts in relations with others. Expression of emotional intelligence in activities of community social worker is the object of this paper. The theoretical part of the work substantiates the theory of emotional intelligence expression in activities of community social worker after discussing emotional intelligence. The research empirically investigated social workers opinions about the expression of emotional intelligence community. The study uses the following methods: analysis of documents, scientific and methodological literature, websites, quantitative research method, questionnaire survey. The study was carried out in questionnaire method, interviewing 212 respondents in 44 institutions. Results of the study confirmed the hypothesis that community social worker activities is worth to foster through self-improvement of emotional intelligence expression.

Summary This article explores social workers’ perceptions of their colleagues’ professional mistakes, and the influences of those opinions. Vignettes in a factorial survey helped to determine whether certain variables related to the social worker or the situation influenced the perception of others’ professional errors and ethical violations. The changed variables included personal characteristics of the offending social worker such as perceived race, gender, and sexual orientation of the social worker, and characteristics of the situation, such as the length of time involved in unprofessional behavior. Findings Licensed social workers in six U.S. states ( n = 5596) read vignettes based on real cases brought before licensing boards ( n = 22,127) and assigned levels of seriousness and importance to discipline. The vignettes rated most highly involved perceived harm to a client or other vulnerable individual. Those on the lower end of seriousness and importance to discipline were those violations against the profession of social work. Analysis of changed variables indicated respondents’ ratings were influenced by several situational factors, but not by personal characteristics of the social worker involved in the vignette. Applications Our findings provide some insight into the decision-making factors important to social workers. The results may be helpful to licensing boards considering the contextual factors of unprofessional behavior and whether to discipline certain actions.

The social role of social worker: its shaping and acting in Erving Goffman’s dramaturgical perspective The subject of the work is shaping and playing the social role of a social worker in the dramaturgical perspective of Erving Goffman. The article is based on the author’s own research carried out for the purposes of the BA thesis. A qualitative method was used, namely an in-depth interview and participant observation. The aim of the article is to describe and explain how the social role of a social worker is shaped and played in the light of Erving Goffman’s dramatic concept on the basis of research carried out at the Municipal Social Welfare Center. Social workers and students of social work participated in the study. The main hypotheses adopted in this work are the assumptions that the social role of a social worker is shaped and played by participation in performances with a defined interactive order, and that each of the performances contains a defined interactive order to which certain, constant elements are subordinated. The collected data was analyzed using the Atlas.ti qualitative analysis software. The research shows that social workers shape and play their social role by preparing in the backstage and during performances on stages, which are: studies, internships and professional work both in the center and in the field.

The article describes the current problems of preparation for professional activities of future social workers. The complexity of solving the problem of forming professionally competent future social workers capable of effective professional activity is shown. The latest scientific researches devoted to the problems of preparation of modern highly qualified specialists for professional activity are analyzed. The modern requirements to the professional activity of social workers on social protection of youth rights are characterized. The inconsistency of the professional training of a social worker with the modern requirements of the labor market was revealed. The main features of a social worker for the protection of youth rights are identified, as well as the priority requirements for professional training of social workers for the social protection of youth rights. The focus is on the functions, knowledge, skills, abilities and professionally significant personal qualities of a modern social worker. The main methods of social workers' activities on social protection of youth rights are highlighted. Perspective directions of professional training of future specialists in social work are outlined.

Sexual Harassment is a form of unwelcome sexual behaviors and taking sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature act that tends to create a hostile environment for women at the workplace. The author is an external committee member for various companies such as manufacturing industries, garment industries, software companies, and handled several sexual harassment incident inquiries. Based on these experiences and during the inquiries employees expressed their experiences such as uncomfortable touching, starring a women continuously, commenting or joking (Sexually colored remarks), sexually explicit pictures or posters, requests for sex, intrusive questions about persons private life or body, unnecessary familiarity, insults or taunts based on sex, sexually explicit physical contact, sexually explicit chats, mails, SMS, facebook, twitter any other social media. Apart from this, in this paper illustrated a case inquiry in detail through social work perspectives. Objectives Transmit the social workers to create a safe working environment for women employees through taking part in ICC external Committee member Impart the sequence of incident inquiry under the POSH ACT 2013 and how to impart awareness sessions and documentation under the act. Social workers can play the role of external member, drafting POSH Policy for the establishment or Social workers can play the role of external member, drafting POSH Policy for the establishment orcompany or any  organized or unorganized organization, conducting orientation programs for ICCmembers, providing POSH act prevention, prohibition, and redressal issues. In addition to this,the Social worker plays a foremost role in prevention, prohibition through avoiding such instanceor circumstance occurrence in the organization. Moreover, they play a very crucial role duringthe incident that has already occurred in the redressal process. Since its inception of harassment,incident reporting, inquiry, and resettlement issues will be handled by the social worker of anNGO. In this regard, social worker intrusion is very important to handle the situations and give justification to the aggrieved women.
