Non-alloyed P355NH steel according to EN 10028-3:2003 belongs to a group of fine-grained steels for pressure vessels being used in welded construction at decompression chamber for divers. Values of the chemical, structural and mechanical characteristics and steel toughness experimentally determined fit the analyzed steel in P355NH steel group according to EN 10028-3:2003. The toughness of the analyzed steel at the test temperature of -30°C is characterized by high values of fracture energy KV in longitudinal direction between 48 and 86 J and on transverse direction between 17 and 34J. Steel toughness at the test temperature of -30°C required by ABS standard (in Section 4/5.3 and Table 1) provides for breaking energy KV of min. 35J, with ductile fracture surfaces, value that is not respected at some lots of the three batches (A, B, C) of steel. Finally, based on the direct correlation established between HV10 hardness of the fine structure and the toughness it was made a selection of the lots of non-alloy steel P355NH which correspond to ABS norm for welded construction of the decompression chamber for divers

The influence of the mechanical characteristics of certain insole materials in the generation and transmission of heel strike impacts while walking was studied. Three insole materials were selected according to their mechanical characteristics under heel strike impacts. The selection of materials has made it possible to distinguish the effect of rigidity and loss tangent in the transmission of heel strike impacts. A lower rigidity and a high loss tangent have been shown to reduce the transmission of impacts to the tibia. A low rigidity was seen to significantly increase the transmission of impacts from tibia to forehead.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the current state of the jury in Ukraine, assessment of existing problems in legislative regulation, ambiguity of enforcement and finding possible ways of solving existing problems. The jury's ability to defend the judicial system against some tendencies that take place in the trial corps and can undermine a fair system of criminal liability and punishment is argued. A statistical analysis of criminal and civil cases involving jury in 2017-2018 is provided. The article emphasizes that the successful functioning of the jury depends first and foremost on the procedure of selection of people for jury. The bill drafts of Ukraine of amendments to the current legislation on improvement of the procedure of forming the list of jury are analyzed. In the context of this, attention was paid to the issues of the quantitative composition of the jury, the transfer of power to form a list of jury to State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, the heterogeneity of the composition of the jury in terms of individual and psychological differences. The expediency of working out the Regulation “On the procedure of selection of citizens in the jury”, where all requirements for candidates for jury will be detailed, restrictions for people to be sworn, the procedure of forming the lists of jury and their submission to court, is stated. The outreach campaign and legal education of the population is аn important element of the effectiveness of the jury. The requirement of continuity of the trial in the case of jury which is related to the concentration of their attention and various kinds of influence, in particular the mass media, is emphasized. It is noted that the review of the decisions of the jury in the appeal court by professional judges, in fact, negates the value of the verdict of the jury.The item of allotments to candidates for jury and the experience of foreign countries on this issue are considered. It also substantiates the demand of transition of Ukraine to the classic jury trial model, which successfully operates in such developed countries as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Belgium and others. The introduction of a classic jury trial model is absolutely necessary in the current condition, will increase the public's confidence in the judicial system and will introduce an effective competitive model of criminal proceedings. The article analyzes the distribution of thematic subgroups (TSG) of English abbreviations within the thematic group (TG) "Names of language teaching organizations". Basing on the similar thematic classification studies of Ukrainian terminology, the authors found the lack of relevant research on English abbreviations, which, together with the need for their systematic thematic classification, allowed them to substantiate the relevance of the study, aimed to identify the said TSGs. The objectives involved the selection of the corpus, its analysis, as well as the formulation of conclusions and the prospects of further research. English terminology is a specific system based on the relevant conceptual features. It comprises a number of TGs, i.e. the sets of lexemes grouped together according to their extralinguistic properties. The criterion for defining a TG is a denotative feature reflecting the extralinguistic reality. The distribution of lexemes among the TGs is an important task of studying any terminological system. The corpus included 122 abbreviations selected from the original English-language sources. TSGs of English abbreviations within the said TG have varying degrees of complexity. The most sophisticated ones are the TSGs related to "Organizations directly involved in language teaching" (19%), "Government agencies" (14%) and some others. The proposed TSGs vary in their quantitative composition, structural type, parts of speech their full forms belong to, as well as the auxiliary words strategies. Some abbreviations are formally synonymic, though denoting different organizations. The analyzed TG includes ten TSGs, whose logic and clarity is provided for by the common conceptual features of their constituents, which are carriers of their thematic integrity. The said components are based on different term-formation models that constitute the prospect of further research.

The article deals with environmental management of the objects and territories of the Eastern Podillya Nature Reserve in the structure of the regional ecological network from the standpoint of physical and geographical zoning. A system of approaches and principles is proposed, which should be used when forming a network of protected objects. The main criterion for the selection of these objects should be the principle of representativeness, while it is advisable to take into account their three types - biotic (botanical; zoological; mycological); geographical (landscape; biogeographic); geosozological (objective; categorical; functional). The area, its size, configuration, state of internal ecological equilibrium, he qualitative and quantitative composition of the protected objects, the degree of anthropogenic impact and the types of conservation regimes play an important role in the creation of the protected objects. But also, of great importance in forming a network of protected objects is the matrix representation, which is widely used in EU countries. The basis is the landscape-zonal principle, where the matrix of biodiversity and landscapes are systems of units of natural areas (biogeographical, geobotanical, floristic, zoogeographic, physical and geographical). According to this principle, the creation of protected objects must be represented by typical (indicator) species of biodiversity, landscapes of all natural zones, subzones, regions, provinces, sub-provinces, districts. On-site surveys of the Eastern Podillya have found that a large proportion of protected sites do not fulfill the function of biodiversity and landscape diversity. The conducted field studies have shown that in the present ecological conditions of the region there is a risk of loss of this diversity. Therefore, using the principle of representativeness, we propose to optimize the nature reserve fund of Eastern Podillya from the point of view of physical and geographical zoning.

The water around thenear-sea tunnels is supplied infinitely, and mechanical characteristics of the lining and movement joint are inevitably affected by waterproof methods. The research on the mechanical characteristics of the waterproof system is immature. As a case study of the Gongbei tunnel, a scale model was established in this study, and the stratum, pipe curtain, grouting circle, lining, waterproof board, and movement joint were simulated based on the similarity theories. By changing the externally applied water pressure and drainage discharge, the variation and distribution of the water pressure and strain on the lining with the fully wrapped waterproof (FWW) method, the lining with the partially wrapped waterproof (PWW) method, and the movement joint were investigated. Furthermore, several suggestions on the selection of the waterproof method were presented. The results indicate that the PWW method can reduce the water pressure and strain on the lining under the drained state. Under the state of free drainage, the strain on the lining with the PWW method may get a discount of about 30%. More attention could be paid to the waterproof of the movement joints in the construction process, especially the invert. The research results may offer some valuable insights into the waterproof design of similar near-sea tunnels.

This paper has proposed a drive theory for magnetic suspended knitting needles based on the magnetic suspension theory. The feasibility of the principles for suspended-driven needle selection of circular knitting machine has been discussed. The mechanical characteristics of needles under different drive conditions, and the stress analysis of electromagnetic force have been simulated with ANSYS software.
