The study sought to evaluate vegetable production by women within the Kpando Municipality. To arrive at the set objectives, data was collected from sampled women who were into vegetable production in the study area. Questionnaire were used to collect data from the respondent on their socio-economic characteristics, production activities and challenges they faced in production and marketing of vegetable in the study area. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the data collected from the respondents. The results of the study revealed that women in the study area had passion towards agriculture and as high as 33.2% of the respondents participated in a variety of farm activities. These activities included and preparation, sowing of seeds and fertilizer application. Challenges faced by the respondents included delayed access to inputs, lack of financial assistance (credit) and storage facilities. The paper concluded that productivity of the respondents could be improved significantly by improving women farmers’ access to productive resources such as fertilizers and credit. It is therefore recommended that fertilizers should be supplied to the farmers on time and the Kpando Municipal Assembly should liaise with financial institutions to support these farmers financially.

The various groundnut production technologies considered were pesticides, processing and packaging, tillage, storage, improved seeds, seed treatment, weeding, transportation, spacing and planting date, fertilizer application and harvesting. Constraints include inadequate fund (2.7), followed by high cost of farm inputs (2.6) and inadequate storage facilities (2.6) were found to alter the adoption of groundnut production technologies among women farmers. Government should help link women farmers with improved groundnut production technologies (improved seeds, farm tools and machine, pesticides, and storage facilities) in order to attain a peak groundnut production in the state at large.

Recent studies have documented that innovations improve profitability of firms. This article documents that deposit taking micro financial institutions that have adopted financial innovations have increased their profitability. The study covered five years between 2009-2013. Both primary and secondary data were used in the study. Primary data was obtained through administration of drop and pick questionnaires to selected employees of the institutions. Secondary data was obtained from financial statements and management reports of these deposit taking microfinance institutions. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, return on asset and multi-liner regression model to determine the effect of each financial innovation applied on profitability on the micro-financial institution. The results showed that most deposit taking microfinance institutions adopted these financial innovations in their current operations. There was strong positive relationship between individual innovations and profitability. In line with profitability ROA also showed improvement each year after the adoption of these financial innovations.

Home gardeners living in areas with alkaline water sources do not have easy or economically affordable means of acidifying irrigation water for vegetable production. One solution for achieving optimal vegetable yields using alkaline irrigation water is to grow the vegetables in a modified medium. To date, no medium on the retail market suits such growing needs. Therefore, medium recipes with varied levels (0, 4, or 8 lb/yard3) and sources of calcium [dolomitic lime, calcium sulfate (CaSO4)] and magnesium [dolomitic lime, magnesium sulfate (MgSO4)] were tested using an alkaline irrigation on ‘Oakleaf’ lettuce (Lactuca sativa), ‘Earliana’ and ‘Salad Delight’ cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata), and ‘Snow Crown’ cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis) crops. Additionally, crops were grown in two environments, under a high tunnel and on a nursery yard. High tunnel and nursery yard sites were used to test media performances in the presence of, and eliminating, rainwater to simulate container-grown vegetables growing in both a home garden situation and a commercial greenhouse production situation. The base mix of all media treatments in the study was 80 bark : 20 peat and fertilized with 12 lb/yard3 slow-release fertilizer at a rate of 1.8 lb/yard3 nitrogen (N), 0.5 lb/yard3 phosphorus (P), and 1 lb/yard3 potassium (K). This initial fertilizer application was incorporated to each medium before filling containers. Four treatments were tested against a commercially available medium, industry standard (IS) treatment (a commercially available bagged medium), and a control medium [treatment C (no supplemental calcium or magnesium fertilizer)] by supplementing the base mix with the following fertilizer levels: 4 lb/yard3 each of CaSO4 and MgSO4 (treatment 1); 4 lb/yard3 dolomitic lime (treatment 2); 4 lb/yard3 each of dolomitic lime, CaSO4, and MgSO4 (treatment 3); 8 lb/yard3 dolomitic lime (treatment 4). Media treatments 1 through 4 outperformed the IS and C media treatments in nearly all crops. All crops grown on the nursery yard, and cabbage grown under the high tunnel, had greater yields when grown in medium treatment 3, compared with the IS and C media treatments (P ≤ 0.05). All crops grown in medium treatment 2 on the nursery yard produced greater yields than the IS and C media treatments (P ≤ 0.05).

This article helps to understand what a forklift is, what it was and what it is at the moment. In the text below, a brief history of the appearance of the loader is well traced, the constructive component and its features are described. The main aspects of the development of a loader in the system of lifting and transporting machines and storage facilities are highlighted. The current trends in the development of forklifts are summarized, an analysis of the market of European and domestic consumers is provided and a conclusion about popular manufacturers is formulated. The information about modern design solutions for machines of this type was also not spared, the principles of operation were described, and also its own design-parametric model of a forklift was proposed, which is able to make work in warehouses more economical and profitable. In the conclusion, the main theses about the modernized machine are formulated, which can subsequently give an impetus to the development of automated control on domestically produced loaders. The phenomenon that occurs is related to the taking over of the right to guarantee (execution) of fiduciary security and Rahn Tasjily in the execution of executions carried out by financial institutions that do not comply with applicable laws and regulations. This research uses Normative legal methods, with qualitative descriptive analysis and critical legal studies. The results of the study that the process of taking over the right to guarantee (execution) fiduciary regulated in article 29 (1) of the fiduciary guarantee law. Among the first, execution based on Grosse fiduciary guarantee certificate or executable title (fiat execution) contained in the Fiduciary Guarantee Certificate carried out by the fiduciary recipient. Second, an execution based on the execution of separate executions through public auctions by fiduciary recipients. Third, execution by sale under the hand by the creditor fiduciary himself, and fourth, fiduciary execution by claiming. Based on Islamic law, the process of expropriation of the right to guarantee (execution) Rahn Tasjily, that the procedure for executing Marhun (collateral object), if due. Murtahin must warn Rahin to pay off her debt immediately. If the Rahin still cannot repay its debt, then Marhun is forcibly sold/executed through an auction, according to sharia. Marhun sales proceeds used to pay off debt, maintenance, and storage costs that have not paid and sales costs. The excess proceeds from the sale belong to Rahin, and the shortcomings become Rahin obligations. The execution process carried out by sharia companies must be based on fatwa no. 25/DSN-MUI/III/2002, and fatwa no. 92/ DSN-MUI/IV/2014. Positive law and Islamic law, which become normative references, have not been well understood and applied by the finance parties, causing injustice and legal uncertainty.Keywords: expropriation of rights, fiduciary guarantee, rahn tasjily ABSTRAKFenomena yang terjadi terkait pengambilalihan hak atas jaminan (eksekusi) jaminan fidusia dan rahn tasjily pada pelaksanaan eksekus yang dilakukan oleh lembaga pembiayaan tidak mematuhi aturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode hukum Normatif, dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan studi hukum kritis. Hasil penelitian bahwa, proses pengambilalihan hak atas jaminan (eksekusi) fidusia telah diatur dalam pasal 29 (1) undang-undang jaminan fidusia. Diantaranya pertama, eksekusi berdasarkan grosse sertifikat jaminan fidusia atau titel eksekutorial (secara fiat eksekusi) yang terdapat dalam Sertifikat Jaminan Fidusia yang dilakukan oleh penerima fidusia. Kedua, eksekusi berdasarkan pelaksanaan parate eksekusi melalui pelelangan umum oleh penerima fidusia. Ketiga, eksekusi secara penjualan di bawah tangan oleh kreditor pemberi fidusia sendiri, dan keempat, eksekusi fidusia secara mendaku. Berdasarkan hukum Islam, proses pengambilalihan hak atas jaminan (eksekusi) rahn tasjily, bahwa prosedur pengeksekusisan marhun (objek jaminan), apabila jatuh tempo. Murtahin harus memperingatkan Rahin untuk segera melunasi hutangnya. Apabila rahin tetap tidak dapat melunasi hutangnya, maka marhun dijual paksa/dieksekusi melalui lelang sesuai syariah. Hasil penjualan marhun digunakan untuk melunasi utang, biaya pemeliharaan dan penyimpanan yang belum dibayar serta biaya penjualan. Kelebihan hasil penjualan menjadi milik rahin dan kekurangannya menjadi kewajiban rahin. Adapun proses eksekusi yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan syariah harus berdasarkan fatwa Nomor: 25/DSN-MUI/III/2002, dan fatwa Nomor:92/DSN-MUI/IV/2014. Hukum positif dan hukum Islam yang menjadi rujukan normatif, belum difahami dan diterapkan dengan baik oleh pihak pembiayaan, sehingga menimbulkan ketidakadilan dan ketidakpastian hukum. Aim: The objective of the paper was to identify and analyse relevant requirements regarding the safety of storage and usage of pyrotechnic materials, intended for civil use. The review was based on binding applicable Polish and European legal acts. The results of the review pointed to the ambiguity of the provisions regulating the issues of safe usage and storage of pyrotechnical materials. Introduction: Some pyrotechnic articles, when triggered by a proper impulse, can lead to a violent reaction resulting in the release of a large amount of heat, and the creation of a blast wave. The effects of this reaction have a destructive impact on buildings situated nearby and pose a hazard to human life. Use and storage of pyrotechnic articles against the set rules is associated with the risk of fire or explosion, therefore a number of requirements have been introduced in this area. Methodology: In Poland there are many legal acts applicable to explosives. One of the most important one is the Act of 21 June 2002 on explosives designated for civil use, which presents pyrotechnic materials with respect to the safety of their usage and storage. Several key requirements have also been specified in agreements ratified in Poland and in other international acts, such as for example: the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road(ADR), and the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2013/29/EU of 12 June 2013 on the harmonisation of laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of pyrotechnic articles. Results: It was established that there is a need of adopting a legal solution for storing pyrotechnical products for temporary sales in containers located near commercial facilities (and serving as back-up facilities). Although the regulations are not clear-cut, such a solution is used in practice, thus it would be advisable to determine by means of legal acts whether it is permissible and what requirements should be fulfilled, for example by a container, in which pyrotechnic articles are temporarily stored. Conclusions: The specification presented in the article allows to see the need to minimize the hazards associated with the marketing of pyrotechnical materials and justifies the necessity of adopting a particularly diligent classification and use of nomenclature for these products. In case of storing pyrotechnical materials, it is erroneous to adopt the determination of class “G” for two variable of net mass values of the explosive (when determining safe distances for explosive storage facilities, including among others class 1, sub-classes 1.3, 1.4). The same applies to the hexogen equivalent of an explosive load (when determining safe distances for explosive storage facilities including class 1, sub-classes 1.1, 1.5 and 4.1). Such provisions are misleading and may cause erroneous interpretations of regulations.

For research projects, it is important to understand the relationship between the aims of the project and the resources available to complete the project. The HMS Swift project is a project that involves excavation, finds handling, conservation, and protection of the excavated areas. This article describes the preparation and procedure of excavation projects, the equipment used in excavation, technique, and safety considerations. A recovery operation depends on the size and number of the artifacts recovered. On completion of the excavation of a particular area or at the end of each field season, the exposed area is covered, but the method varies depending on whether the area has been finished or further excavation is planned. The complete archaeological collection is held in the museum's conservation and storage facilities. The local population plays an active role in the site's protection; therefore the archaeological site is not threatened by looting.

The study examined the performance and risk management of vegetable production in Ogun State, Nigeria. A multistage sampling procedure was used to select 120 respondents for the study. Data were collected through a well-structured questionnaire and personal interview schedule. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics such as Ordinary Least Square (OLS) were used for the analysis of this study. The results found out that lack of discriminating pricing system, conflict in policy making, and high cost of inputs affect the market prices and as well serve as the main production risks that were observed by the farmers in the area. The average cost incurred for the production was about ₦6,908, while the total revenue accrued was ₦41,751. The gross margin and net farm income realized per production season were ₦36,973 and ₦34,843, respectively. The value (6.0) of return on investment showed that farmers realized times six of their investment. The variables such as household size, farm size, fertilizer application and equipment were the main determinants of vegetable production in the area. Also, the main challenges faced by the farmers were the infestation of pests and diseases, inadequate funds and climate change consequences. Therefore, it is recommended that the vegetable farmers should be encouraged through technical training on innovative approach to price determination and forming of functioning market structure in the area.
