В публикации авторы представили теоретический обзор распространения анемии у детей во всем мире, в том числе и в Азербайджане, роли железа в организме, причинах возникновения железодефицитной анемии и его классификации, особенностях проведения ферротерапии у детей, классификации железосодержащих средств применяемых в Азербайджане, протоколах лечения ЖДА у детей во всем мире, в том числе и в Азербайджане. In the publication the authors presented a theoretical review of the spread of anemia in children worldwide, including Azerbaijan, the role of iron in the body, the causes of iron deficiency anemia and its classification, the peculiarities of ferrotherapy in children, the classification of iron-containing agents used in Azerbaijan, the treatment protocols for iron deficiency in children worldwide, including in Azerbaijan.

<p>Pregnancy leads to increased energy metabolism, hence the need for energy and other nutrients increases during pregnancy. Increased energy and nutrients are needed for growth and development of the fetus, the increase in the amount of the uterus, changes in the composition and metabolism of the mother's body. If  levels of iron in the body of pregnant women is less, then there will be a condition called anemia. That's because iron is an essential microelement for the body. This substance is especially needed in hemopoiesis (blood formation), ie in the synthesis of hemoglobin. The purpose of this study was  to determine Knowledge of Pregnant Women About Iron Deficiency Anemia and Family Role With Compliance In Consuming Iron Tablet in health center . This study was a quantitative research, analytical, with cross sectional study subjects all mothers who have antenatal and get a tablet Fe in Tanjungpinang health center  based on data consist of 40 respondents. The result of this study was significat relationship between knowledge of pregnant women to iron deficiency anemia with Compliance Consuming Tablet iron  show the value of p 0814, the p-value is greater than the p value 0:05 was shows that no have correlation between knowledge of pregnant women about iron deficiency anemia with Compliance Consuming Iron Tablets. Family Role in monitoring drinking iron tablet  with Compliance Consuming Iron Tablets shows the value of p 0.00 is smaller than the value of α 0.05. This shows that there is a relationship between family role in monitoring drinking iron tablet with compliance consuming iron tablet. This study  indicated to increase Knowledge Level Of a Person On Iron Deficiency Anemia  Not Consume The Influence Behavior Of Iron Tablet  But Can Improve The Role Of Family In Compliance With Pregnant Women Eat Iron Tablet.</p>

Depression is a public health disorder, ranking third after respiratory and cardiac diseases. There were many evidences that iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is one of the foremost causes regarding nutritional pointof view for depression. We reviewed these evidences that IDAlinking to depression. We identified seventeen studies in four databases including randomized-controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies assessing the impact of IDAand iron supplementation on the risk of depression. We extracted data on the basis of sample size, geographical region, measures of depression, hemoglobin, iron levels and intake of iron supplementation and critically appraised the results from the studies. Eleven out of sixty one studies were experimental, which indicated that dietary supplementation particularly iron supplementation had an association (r − 0.19 to −0.43 and ORs 1.70–4.64) with severity of depression. Evidences showed that women of reproductive age were more vulnerable to iron deficiency anemia than other population. Low ferritin and low hemoglobin level were associated with severity of depression. Iron is an essential nutrient for all living creatures, as a cofactor of various enzymes and plays significant role in environmental stimulant for the articulation of numerous virulence factors. Many clinical problems are caused by iron deficiency. Therefore, this review intended to highlight the important role of iron supplementation in reducing the severity of depression.

This study was conducted to identify the role of some blood parameters, levels of some hormones, proteins, and cellular kinetics that have a role in iron transport and storage, in addition to their relationship with each other and with blood and sex parameters for patients with severe and moderate iron deficiency anemia, and to compare the parameters with healthy people. The study period lasted for the period from (December 2020 until March 2021) The presence of iron deficiency anemia was confirmed by examining the blood picture and the criteria of hepcidin and ferritin. The results showed a significant decrease in the in the concentration of hepcidin, ferritin and iron in patients compared to the control group.

Background: Iron deficiency anemia is a microcytic anemia caused by chronic blood loss dueto such problems as excessive menstrual flow, gastrointestinal bleeding, gasterektomi or malabsorption that reduces the absorption of Fe. Predisposing factors that lead to the disruption of the ecology of oral candidiasis or oral microbiological changes can be due to malnutrition (iron deficiency, folic acid, vitamin B12) and the very old age. Objective: To report a case of iron deficiency anemia with oral candidiasis and its management. Case Report: A 69-year man in the reference by peer demonstrated swollen gums, mouth pain and difficulty in swallowing. A moth ago he was hospitalized and boarded for a week but no change, his body weight loss was 25kg. paleconjunctiva and face, droliing, looked weak. The body temperature was 370 C; the BP measurement was: 125/80mmHg; with body weight was 50kg; right and left submandibular  lymph nodes become enlarging and soreness palpatiom. Symmetrical face. Right and left lip corners are angular kheilitis, cheek mucosa, palate hyperemia, gingival stipling was disappeared, hyperemia, dorsal surface smooth tongue, hyperemia, depapilasi, OHI: bad; thick saliva, hypersalivation. A lot of dental caries and the remaining roots. Management: Examination of the saliva with KOH solution looked a hyphe. Routine blood tests and profile of fe all within normal limits except RBC was 3,37.106 / uL; HGB: 11.0 g / dl; HCT: 32.2%, Fe 29.00 u g / dl (below normal). Treatment with 3% perhidrol mouthwash, Nyistatin solution 3 x daily. Zegase tablet 2x daily. Paracetamol tablets if necessary. Conclusion sixteen days later the patient recovered.

Abstract Background Anemia is a significant worldwide health problem. Approximately one third of the world's population suffers from anemia, half of which is due to iron deficiency (ID). Evaluation of parameters relating to serum ferritin and iron is critically important in the diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia (IDA). The recent development of automated systems for hematology analysis has made it possible to measure reticulocyte hemoglobin equivalent (RET-He), which is thought to reflect iron content in reticulocytes, in the same sample used for complete blood count tests. Aim of the work We aimed to assess the role of RET- He in diagnosis of iron deficiency anemia. Subjects and Methods Blood samples were obtained from 102 subjects. Patients were classified into three groups: IDA, ID, and anemia of chronic disorder (ACD). In addition 20 age and sex matched healthy volunteers were enrolled as control. RET- He was assessed by Sysmex XN1000 hematology analyzer. Results Patients in the IDA group had significantly lower RET-He levels than those in the control group. RET-He was correlated with serum ferritin in the IDA and ID groups. The area under the curve for RET-He was 0.883. The cut-off value of RET- He for detecting IDA was ≤ 26.5 pg with 80% sensitivity and 90% specificity. Conclusion RET-He facilitates the diagnosis of IDA with high accuracy and may be a clinically useful marker for determining IDA.
