The present investigation describes the influence of the concentration of PEG 6000 as a melt binder and ratio of HPMC K4M : PVP on Zolpidem tartrate controlled-release tablet formulations using 32 full factorial design. The ratio of HPMC K4M and PVP K30 () and the concentration of melt binder () were selected as independent variables, and drug release at 1 hr (), 4 hr (), 8 hr (), diffusion coefficient (), and release rate constant () were selected as a dependent variable. Tablets were prepared by melt granulation technique and evaluated for various evaluation parameters. It was observed that concentration of melt binder had significant effect on , , , and Binder concentration 25% w/w was found optimum. Optimized formulation () showed good similarity with theoretical profile of drug. The variable had a significant effect on dependent variables, and the variable had no significant effect on dependent variables.

The objective of this work was to compare several profiles of dissolution data for metoprolol controlled release tablet formulations in order to identify possible changes in dissolution profiles of whole and scored tablets. Adequate design of score lines (on one or both sides) as well as the technology of preparation of tablet mixtures ensure forming a score line of adequate thickness, shape, size, curvature. According to the obtained results, this type of extended release formulation is eligible for splitting and use in therapy either as a whole or scored tablets.

The objective of the present study was to identify critical formulation parameters affecting the drug release from modified release wax matrix tablet of milnacipran hydrochloride employing the concept of design of experiments.The optimized amount of Compritol 888 ATO(intragranular) (X1), lactose (X2) and Compritol 888ATO (extragranular)(X3) were determined employing simplex latticedesign. The tablets were prepared using melt granulation technique. The in vitro drug release study was carried out in an acidic medium (pH 1.2) for 2 h and thereafter the dissolution study was conducted in phosphate buffer (pH 6.8).The selected dependent variables were the cumulative percentage of milnacipran hydrochloride dissolved at 1 (Y1), 8 (Y8), 16 (Y16) and 24 h (Y24). Mathematical models, correlating the independent variables with dependent variables were evolved. Optimization was performed for the three independent variables using the stated target ranges; Y1≤20%; Y8=45±5%; Y16=72±5%; Y24=100%. The optimized amounts of Compritol ATO888 (intragranular)(X1), lactose (X2) and Compritol 888ATO (extragranular)(X3), were found to be 60, 55 and 30 mg, respectively.The optimized formulation showed a release profile that was close to the predicted values. The drug was released by anomalous diffusion from the optimized formulation. Compritol 888ATO (intragranular) (X1), lactose (X2) and Compritol 888ATO(extragranular) (X3) were identified as critical variables.

The aim of the current study was to formulate and optimize the formulation on the basis of in vitro performance of microsphere. A full factorial design was employed to study the effect of independent variables, polymer-to-drug ratio () and stirring speed (), on dependent variables, encapsulation efficiency, particle size, and time to 80% drug release. The best batch exhibited a high entrapment efficiency of 70% and mean particle size 290 μm. The drug release was also sustained for more than 12 hours. The study helped in finding the optimum formulation with excellent sustained drug release.

Objective: The main objective of the present investigation was to design, prepare and evaluate moisturizing cream using sunflower wax.Methods: In the present work 32 full factorial design was applied to study the effect of varying concentration of independent variables stearic acid (X1) and sunflower wax (X2) on dependent variables viscosity and spreadability. All of the prepared formulations of moisturizing cream were evaluated for its physicochemical parameters. Further, the optimized formulation and selected commercial moisturizer compared and evaluated for its physicochemical parameters like pH, particle size, spreadability, viscosity and in vitro occlusivity test.Results: Nine different formulations of the moisturizing cream were prepared and all the findings obtained were within the prescribed limit. When compared to the prototype formulation of cream, the formulation MF5 showed good viscosity, in vitro occlusivity and spreadability. From the nine different formulations, MF5 containing 2 % stearic acid and 2 % sunflower was chosen as the optimized formula. Optimization was done on the basis of in vitro occlusivity studies and physicochemical parameters.Conclusion: The results obtained in this research work clearly showed a promising potential of moisturizing cream containing a specific ratio of stearic acid and sunflower wax as emulsifiers. Thus it can be concluded that sunflower wax is incorporated in the moisturizing cream, to avail of its cosmetic benefits.

This research aim to examine the influence of personal background, political background, and council budget knowledge towards the role of DPRD on region financial control. The data in this research consist of primary data that taken from questionnaires distributed directly to respondents. The collected are from 34 Respondents that members of DPRD at Pekanbaru. Hypothesis of this research are examine by using Multivariate Analysis of Variances (MANOVA). The result of this research HI personal background political background and budget knowledge have significant influence toward the role of DPRD on region financial control in planning steps.H2 personal background, politico I background and budget knowledge have no significant influence toward the role of DPRD on region financial control in Implementing steps. H3 personal background political background and budget knowledge have no significant influence toward the role of DPRD on region financial control in Controlling steps.

Background: Developing a new excipient and obtaining its market approval is an expensive, time-consuming and complex process. Compared to that, the co-processing of already approved excipients has emerged as a more attractive option for bringing better characteristic excipients to the market. The application of the Design of Experiments (DoE) approach for developing co-processed excipient can make the entire process cost-effective and rapid. Objective: The aim of the present investigation was to demonstrate the applicability of the DoE approach, especially 32 full factorial design, to develop a multi-functional co-processed excipient for the direct compression of model drug - cefixime trihydrate using spray drying technique. Methods: The preliminary studies proved the significant effect of atomization pressure (X1) and polymer ratio (microcrystalline cellulose: mannitol - X2) on critical product characteristics, so they were selected as independent variables. The angle of repose, Carr’s index, Hausner’s ratio, tensile strength and Kuno’s constant were selected as response variables. Result: The statistical analysis proved a significant effect of both independent variables on all response variables with a significant p-value < 0.05. The desirability function available in Design Expert 11® software was used to prepare and select the optimized batch. The prepared co-processed excipient had better compressibility than individual excipients and their physical mixture and was able to accommodate more than 40 percent drug without compromising the flow property and compressibility. Conclusion: The present investigation successfully proved the applicability of 32 full factorial design as an effective tool for optimizing the spray drying process to prepare a multi-functional co-processed excipient.

Traffic accidents are emerging as a serious social problem in modern society but if the severity of an accident is quickly grasped, countermeasures can be organized efficiently. To solve this problem, the method proposed in this paper derives the MDG (Mean Decrease Gini) coefficient between variables to assess the severity of traffic accidents. Single models are designed to use coefficient, independent variables to determine and predict accident severity. The generated single models are fused using a weighted-voting-based bagging method ensemble to consider various characteristics and avoid overfitting. The variables used for predicting accidents are classified as dependent or independent and the variables that affect the severity of traffic accidents are predicted using the characteristics of causal relationships. Independent variables are classified as categorical and numerical variables. For this reason, a problem arises when the variation among dependent variables is imbalanced. Therefore, a harmonic average is applied to the weights to maintain the variables’ balance and determine the average rate of change. Through this, it is possible to establish objective criteria for determining the severity of traffic accidents, thereby improving reliability.
