The aim of this research is to determine the perceptions of sport managers in Turkey on the concept of sport by means of metaphors. 74 sport managers participated in the research. Phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. Content analysis method was used for the data analysis. Evaluation of the data showed that sports managers produced a total of 50 metaphors. These metaphors produced were collected in 6 different categories. As a result, it was determined that sport managers expressed the concept of sport by means of metaphors in a very rich and diverse perspective. Therefore, the metaphors determined in this study may lead the sport managers and candidates responsible for the administration of sports services and activities in terms of offering a different perspective on the practice of sport management.

This study is focused on analysis of the politeness expressed by the main characters and supporting characters in “Beauty and the Beast” Movie. The objective of this study are to know the politeness expressed by the main characters; Beauty (Belle) and the Beast (Prince) and to know the politeness expressed by the supporting characters in “Beauty and the Beast” movie. This Study is qualitative research that used content analysis method. Technique of data analysis in this study is using descriptive qualitative. The result of analysis are the sum of expression of politeness in saying thank you are 8 expressions, in saying hello are 7 expression, in answer the saying hello are 2 expressions, in use ‘I’m sorry’ are 5 expression and of how to sound more polite are 5 expressions. The sum of all expression of politeness that expressed by the characters in “Beauty  and the Beast” movie are 27 expressions. Based on the discussion of the result of analysis, It can be concluded that expression of politeness is important in communication and it usually use in conversation when people in saying hello or greeting, when people answer the saying hello or greeting from others, when people ask with the sound more polite, and the last when people saying use ‘I’m sorry’ to refused and ignore something and ask to forgiven by other people. This study can be applied to conduct the learning material in teaching about the  English expression in conversation, especially expression of politeness.

The core of corporate governance is composed of values such as transparency, accountability, fairness and responsibility. The principles of corporate governance and ethical approach are built on these core values. Consequently, there is a need for guidelines on how managers and other employees should behave ethically on certain issues. In this context, the aim of the study is to identify the concepts emphasized in the ethical declarations of companies and to reveal the focus themes, differences and similarities of the sectors and companies included in the Corporate Governance Index in Turkey. Content analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, was performed in the study. The reason for the selection of companies included in the BIST Corporate Governance Index as a sample is because of the fact that the companies within this index have certain standards in terms of corporate governance and ethical principles and they are accepted as cynosure for other companies. As a result of this research, the themes that the company and sector groups intensified were determined and significant differences have been identified among companies and sectors.

ABSTRACT Objective: to describe the most important tools of ATLAS.ti Software and to associate them with the procedures of Thematic Content Analysis. Method: It is a theoretical reflection of the Content Analysis phases of Laurence Bardin, associating them with software tools Atlas.ti and showing its usefulness for data analysis in qualitative research. Results: historical contextualization and the available resources of Atlas.ti software with presentation of health research involving the phases of thematic content analysis. Final considerations: The Atlas.ti software assists in the accomplishment of the thematic content analysis being this promising association in health research.

This research aimed to describe the form of errors in using affixation in Indonesian Language paper written by Thai students. The data were words and sentences that contained errors. The research was qualitative research using content analysis method. This research used interactive model data analysis through three steps. Those were data reduction, presentation of data, as well as conclusion and verification. The results show that there are some errors; 72 errors in using affixation: 21 or 29% errors in prefix, 9 or 13% errors in suffix, 9 or 13% errors in confix, and 33 or 46% errors klofiks (combination of affixes). The error is caused by two factors; 7% of interlingual errors and intralingual factor including 7% of overgeneralization and 86% of ignorance of rule restriction. However, the results also show that Thai students have not mastered or understood the structure of Indonesian language. The results can be used to develop the techniques of teaching Indonesian structure, especially the use of affixation. Therefore, the Thai students can improve the ability to use Indonesian language by channeling it in academic writing.

The Nurul Yaqin book is one of the yellow books that tell the history of the journey and struggle of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in spreading Islam. In the book, many stories are told about the joys and sorrows of the Prophet and his companions in the mission of spreading Islam. There are also many descriptions of essential and historical events that have become the treasures of Muslims. One of the efforts to connect the chain of the Prophet's struggle is to teach this book again with methods and media that are fun to students. The use of instructional media is expected to help students capture their imagination, increase their enthusiasm, spark their enthusiasm and provoke their creativity in studying historical books. This research is library research with a qualitative research approach. The data collection method uses the documentary study method. The data analysis method used is the content analysis method. The purpose of this study is to help teachers make it easier for students to accept and understand the contents of the Nurul Yaqin book by utilizing learning media in the form of pictures and maps.

Zapin Siak dance is a traditional Malay dance which has been cultured, lived, and developed in line with human life from time to time. Zapin Siak dance is danced by two male dancers taking parallel position in a form of motion which generally uses a lot ofThis is a qualitative research using a content analysis method, known as content analysis. The object of research was Zapin Siak Dance in Kampung Dalam Subdistrict, Siak District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The data used were primary and secondary data. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The research instrument used was the researcher itself and was assisted by writing instruments, cameras, and flash drives. The data analysis was done by describing and interpreting various movements of the Zapin Siak dance. It refers to the elements of motion: the head, body, hands, andThe results show that the movement structure of Zapin Siak Dance in Siak District, Siak Regency, Riau Province, consists of 22 kinem elements, 22 morphokinem elements, 7 motif elements, and one overall dance form, namely Zapin Siak dance. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami secara mendalam strategi kesantunan berbahasa Prancis dalam ketidaksetujuan pada diskusi politik di situs yahoo.fr. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian adalah komentar tidak setuju yang santun yang bersumber dari diskusi politik di situs yahoo.fr yang terbit dari bulan Maret sampai dengan April 2013. Data diunduh dari situs yahoo.fr yang dinalisis dengan metode analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis strategi kesantunan berbahasa Prancis dalam ketidaksetujuan pada diskusi politik di situs yahoo.fr direalisasikan dalam 11 jenis dari kemungkinan 25 jenis strategi kesantunan berbahasa Brown dan Levinson. Ini disebabkan karena ruang lingkup penelitian yang kecil, yaitu strategi kesantunan berbahasa dalam ketidaksetujuan dan bukan ragam bahasa lisan, sedangkan acuan strategi kesantunan yang digunakan tidak terfokus pada strategi kesantunan dalam ketidaksetujuan saja, tapi juga santun dalam kesetujuan. Kemudian, acuan strategi itu berlaku untuk ragam bahasa lisan. The objetive of this research was to understand comprehensively the French politenessstrategies of the disagreement of the participants in the political discussiononthe website ofyahoo.fr. It was a qualitative research with a content analysis method conducted in Jakarta in 2013. The data analysis and interpretation indicates that the Frenchpolitenessstrategies of the disagreement of the participants wererealized in11strategies based on the 25 strategies of politeness of Brown and Levinson. It was caused by the domain of the research was too small. The using of the politeness strategies of Brown and Levinson was not only for the disagreement, but used for all situation of the communication.  And then, the research area was on the politeness of  writing but the area of the politeness strategies of Brown and Levinson was speaking.

The objective of this research was to understand comprehensively about religiosity of the characters in novel Api Tauhid by Habiburrahman El Shirazy based on a semiotic study. It was a qualitative research with content analysis method. The data were collected through literature study, observed matters related to the religiosity of the characters in novel Api Tauhid by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The data analysis and interpretation include semiotic studies use the theory of Pierce seen from the dimensions of faith, Islam, and ihsan(virtue). The sense of faith can be seen from unity of God, Islam can be seen from the worship performed by the characters, and ihsan can be seen from the behavior and deeds of the characters. This research is expected to be useful in the process of learning language and literature, especially in the use of  semiotic methods to facilitate students to understand literature and language.

AbstractThis study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the positive politeness strategy of speech acts in Tere Liye's Bidadari-Bidadari Surga novel. This research is a qualitative research with content analysis method. The data were collected through literature study and polite observation in speech acts on Tere Liye's novel Bidadari-Bidadari Surga. The data analysis uses Brown and Levinson's politeness theory. These findings indicate that Tere Liye's novel Bidadari-Bidadari Heaven contains a positive politeness strategy. The strategy of positive politeness includes fifteen positive politeness strategies and in the form of thirty-nine kinds of mannerisms spoken by the characters of the story.Keywords: Strategy of positive politeness, speech acts, novel

The study aims to reveal teachers’ perceptions of “Covid-19” and “School in the Covid-19 Process” through metaphors. The differences between the covid-19 perceptions of those who had Covid-19 disease in the participants’ families and those who did not were examined. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. Participants consist of a total of 100 teachers, 80 in Hatay and 20 in Gaziantep. The content analysis method was used. It was seen that teachers had 45 different metaphors in the perception of ‘Covid-19’ and were collected in eight categories. The most produced metaphors’ codes related with covid-19 were “Flu”, “Cancer”, “Illness”, “War”, “Flu-pneumonia”. Categories created according to metaphors were “Similar to other diseases”, “Infectiousness”, “Damaging”, “Fatal”, “Uncertainty”, “Social order”, “Immunity”, “Isolating”. Participants created 56 different metaphors in the perception of “School in the Covid-19 Process,” and these metaphors could be gathered in seven categories. The most produced metaphors were “Dangerous zone”, “Abandoned building”, “Pandemic point / Virus slot”, “House”.
