The study was conducted in Kerala state to comprehend the information sourcing and managing behavior of dairy entrepreneurs; by examining the frequency of contact with the information sources, available sources of training, ICT utilization, market orientation and scientific orientation. The data was collected by survey using a structured schedule and the results were exhibited in tables. The overall frequency of contact was found to be medium for majority of the dairy entrepreneurs; the results exhibiting a similar trend also in market orientation. The preferred training centers by most of the entrepreneurs were dairy cooperatives due to their proximity and flexibility. The modern day information tools like android mobiles and television were the preferred ICT sources. Scientific orientation was higher for majority of the dairy entrepreneurs signifying an encouraging impact of the information management. The multiple linear regression model showed that while experience was negatively correlated; annual income, overall frequency of contact and market orientation were positively correlated and significant with scientific orientation. Among the three geographic regions, highland entrepreneurs had high scientific orientation. Nevertheless, overall results suggest the need for extension support and training interventions to improve the information sourcing and managing behavior of dairy entrepreneurs of the state.

What behavioral competencies do experienced IT project managers apply when facing critical situations in their projects, and how have they developed those competencies? In this paper, the authors answer these questions. The authors interviewed 23 experienced IT project managers from 11 organizations, focusing on critical situations that they now managed differently from their earlier, novice, practices, and on how they had learned to develop these different approaches. The authors discuss a variety of management development and training interventions. They use a thematic analysis to identify the key competencies being applied and learning methods experienced by this set of managers. Results suggest that IT project managers are drawing on a different set of competencies from those required for project management in other industries. Additionally, this paper reveals the importance of informal learning channels, often involving project experiences, for the development of IT project management competencies.

Neonatal care is an extremely data-intensive activity. Physiological monitoring equipment is used extensively along with web-based information tools and knowledge sources. Merging data from multiple sources adds value to this data collection. Neonatal databases assist with collecting, displaying, and analyzing data from a number of sources. Although the construction of such databases can be difficult, it can provide helpful support to clinical practice including surveillance of infectious diseases and even medical error. Along with recording outcomes, such systems are extremely useful for the support of audit and quality improvement as well as research. Electronic information sources are often helpful in education and communication with parents and others, both within the unit and at a distance. Systems are beginning to be used to help with decision making – for example in the case of weaning neonates from ventilators, and this work is likely to become more important in the future.

Cooperative is an organization run by the similar professional people for the betterment of their socio-economic uplift with common goals in the democratic way. The success or failure of any cooperative depends upon the members' role. If the members are well educated about cooperatives and have sound knowledge of their business, it is the true path to success. The present study was conducted to explore the status of cooperative member education and training to the members by the concerned cooperative in Ilam, Nepal. The nature of the study was quantitative survey method. There were 226 cooperative members from three types of cooperatives: Savings and Credit, Tea, and Dairy cooperatives. The present study showed that the majority of the members were deprived of their basic rights of getting cooperative members’ education and training from their concerned cooperatives. Thus, the study recommends that cooperatives must requested to provide their members with education and business oriented training.Journal of Advanced Academic Research Vol.1(1) 2014: 43-45

The purpose of the present study was to investigate stress and burnout among intercollegiate head swimming coaches in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Participants were 223 coaches working at NCAA institutions who completed the Coaching Issues Survey, which measures potential stressors experienced by coaches using four subscales of Win-Loss, Time-Role, Program-Success, and Athlete-Concerns. Time-Role was the most significant stressor and Win-Loss the lowest. Females reported significantly higher stress levels than their male counterparts, t(197) = −2.87, p = .01, on all subscales. Overall, levels of stress were not significant by NCAA divisions I, II, and III F(2,201) = 1.25, p = .29, suggesting that coaches across all levels experience stress. Findings highlight the importance of monitoring work–life balance across all collegiate athletic divisions and the need to understand why females report higher levels of stress and how this can be improved. Future research should consider how burnout can be avoided through coaching education and training interventions that might aid coaches who perceive their work environment as stressful.

This study develops multivariate models to predict swimming performance based on multidimensional assessment. 66 male (age 13.6 ± 0.6 y) and 67 female (11.5 ± 0.6 y) swimmers undertook a test battery including a sports background and training questionnaire, anthropometry, general and specific fitness tests, and technique. Competitive performance (LEN scores in three best events) was the predicted variable. A multiple linear regression model explained 82.4% of performance variability in males (based on age, sitting height, 30-min test, 6 × 50 m at 1:30, and swimming index) and 84.5% in females (age, 30-min test, 6 × 50 m at 1:30, and velocity at 50 m). Discriminant analysis using a four-group split-sample approach correctly classified 94.1% of the best male swimmers (based on age, 30-min test, 6 × 50 m at 1:30, shoulder extension, arm span, and height), and 71.0% of the best females swimmers (30-min test, horizontal floating, velocity at 50 m, and age). Chronological age was the main predictor of performance in this age category. Main predictive variables pertained to the anthropometric (particularly in males), specific fitness (aerobic speed and endurance), and technical domains (particularly in females). In these ages competitions should be organized according to year of birth and not by age categories.

Two key categories of pedagogical science - education and training as the next attempt of the appeal to a problem of overcoming alienation of the person from his authentic essence, forming of spiritually developed personality in the course of historical development of society are covered in article that isn’t made automatically, and requires efforts from people, and these efforts go as for creation of the material resources, objective social conditions, and on implementation opening at each historical stage of new opportunities for spiritual and moral enhancement of the person.
