The study was conducted in Kerala state to comprehend the information sourcing and managing behavior of dairy entrepreneurs; by examining the frequency of contact with the information sources, available sources of training, ICT utilization, market orientation and scientific orientation. The data was collected by survey using a structured schedule and the results were exhibited in tables. The overall frequency of contact was found to be medium for majority of the dairy entrepreneurs; the results exhibiting a similar trend also in market orientation. The preferred training centers by most of the entrepreneurs were dairy cooperatives due to their proximity and flexibility. The modern day information tools like android mobiles and television were the preferred ICT sources. Scientific orientation was higher for majority of the dairy entrepreneurs signifying an encouraging impact of the information management. The multiple linear regression model showed that while experience was negatively correlated; annual income, overall frequency of contact and market orientation were positively correlated and significant with scientific orientation. Among the three geographic regions, highland entrepreneurs had high scientific orientation. Nevertheless, overall results suggest the need for extension support and training interventions to improve the information sourcing and managing behavior of dairy entrepreneurs of the state.

Under the leadership of NLM Director Donald A.B. Lindberg M.D., the National Library of Medicine (NLM) continued to promote its services to the nation’s health care professionals and scientists. With support of the U.S. Congress, it initiated new communications and outreach programs and services directed at the general public that revolutionized their access to information as well. Because effective health communication must be tailored for the audience and the situation, Lindberg supported the development of online health information tools designed to help consumers find free, comprehensive, timely, and trustworthy sources of health information that, ultimately, can improve patient outcomes. New and popular consumer-friendly websites were championed by Lindberg, including MedlinePlus, and ClincialTrials.gov, and he formed unique partnerships with national physician organizations to educate their patients about reliable sources of health information from the NLM. A new era of timely and trusted online health information for the general public began in 2006 under Lindberg’s tenure culminating in the development, publication and distribution of NIH’s first consumer magazine, NIH MedlinePlus, featuring the research and findings of the NIH. In his effort to improve patient outcomes, Dr. Lindberg revolutionized the Library’s outreach capabilities and successfully expanded its mission to serve not only health professionals and scientists, but also consumers nationwide.

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of understanding the mission andvalues of the prosecutor’s office in Ukraine, the disclosure of the content of these conceptsat the present stage of development of the institution. Attention is focused on the analysis inthis part of the provisions of the Strategy for the Development of the Prosecutor’s Office for2021–2023.There is a tendency to spread the information tools of commercial organizations amongpublic authorities, in particular the prosecution authorities, and the replacement of previouslyused definitions of “role”, “principles”, “goals” by new borrowed definitions of “mission”,“values”, “vision” respectively.A cursory retrospective review of the formation of ideas about the content of thecategories of “mission” and “values” has been carried out. It has been found out that fromthe position of philosophy values are considered as specific social definitions of objects of thesurrounding world, which reveal their positive or negative significance for man and societyand are contained in the phenomena of social life and nature.Emphasis is placed on the need to unify the values (principles) common to all lawenforcement agencies, since most of them are the only or very close. Strategic documents ofthese bodies should reveal the provisions of the Constitution and the relevant legislation ofUkraine, to specify the latter and not contradict them.It is defined that the basic values for all public authorities, including law enforcementagencies, are: human and civil rights, the rule of law, responsibility and accountability, as wellas professionalism (or professional) and continuous improvement. It is proposed to treat the mission in a broad sense as an existential goal of the organization,an effective manifestation of its nature, sufficiently demonstrative and at the same timeunderstandable enough for the general public. The author’s definition of the mission of the prosecutor’s office, which meets therequirements of the time and takes into account its place in the mechanism of state power, the functional specificity of activity, the priority of approximation to European standards, ensuring openness and transparency, as well as strengthening of public confidence in it, wasformulated. The need for a number of changes in the Strategy for the Development of the Prosecutor’sOffice for 2021–2023 on a more clear and coherent presentation of its provisions on themission and values of the prosecution and details of some of them were noted.

Well-made joinery can be pricey, no matter if it is hand-crafted or prefabricated. This thesis attempts to understand all available tectonics used to fabricate joints and find a potential alternative to generate well-made joints in a more accessible manner. Specifically looking at traditional Japanese carpentry, Japanese joinery is a crucial precedent for examining due to its prestigious nature for withstanding the test of time and earthquakes. Here following the crafting of traditional joints is necessary to understand the hand-tool tectonic, allowing for an understanding to then iterate joints in the other tectonics with machine-tools and information-tools. Retrofitting provides for the opportunity for owners to add additional components to their existing properties. The standard residential home is commonly retrofitted by the owners to follow the ‘trend’ and ‘personalise’ their home. The want for retrofitting is usually due to the basic nature of cookie-cutter homes that are common to the New Zealand suburbs. By studying ways to construct joints, methods of fabricating joinery can assist the DIY culture in New Zealand, whether through prefabrication on the CNC router that is sold as kitsets or machine jigs that can be made onsite.

In view of the rapid development of computer technologies and the introduction of information tools into the everyday and working life of the individual, we see the process of virtualization not only of culture, but also of sociocultural activity. The paper discusses the virtualization of sociocultural activity in modern conditions. The purpose of the study is to identify trends in the virtualization of sociocultural activity. The object is sociocultural activity. The subject is the current state of virtualization of sociocultural activity. Research objectives are: to indicate the relevance of the topic; to study scientific literature on the issue of negative trends in virtualization of sociocultural activity; to determine the essence of the terms "virtualization" and "virtual reality", "culture virtualization", "virtualization of sociocultural activity"; to list the most relevant virtual activity technologies; and to identify negative trends in virtualization of sociocultural activity. This process, according to the author, is a consequence of global informatization, including the sociocultural sphere. According to the author, the current state of virtualization of sociocultural activity has both positive and negative aspects. As positive aspects, the author includes the possibility of using unlimited space for creativity and self-realization, as well as the development of a wide range of training programs provided - master classes, marathons, courses, etc.; maintaining interpersonal communication using modern instant messengers and applications and simplifying communication of work processes. The work also cites the negative aspects of the process of virtualization of sociocultural activity, such as hedonism, depersonalization and standardization of the person, excessive freedom of action. In conclusion, the author notes that the importance of negative trends is increasing and the process of virtualization of sociocultural activity can be controlled, namely, the translation of high-quality censorship content, limiting destructive actions, and blocking violators.

BACKGROUND Voice Assistants (VAs) are devices that respond to human voices and can be commanded to do a variety of tasks. Nowadays, VAs are being used to obtain health information, which has become a critical point of analysis for researchers in terms of question understanding and quality of response. Particularly, the COVID-19 pandemic has and still is severely affecting people worldwide, which demands studies on how VAs can be used as a tool to provide useful information. OBJECTIVE This work aims to perform a quality analysis of different VAs’ responses regarding the actual and important subject of COVID-19 vaccines. We focus on this important subject since vaccines are now available, and the society urges to rapidly immunize the population. METHODS The proposed study is based on questions that were collected from the official World Health Organization website. These questions were submitted to the five dominant VAs (Alexa, Bixby, Cortana, Google Assistant and Siri), and responses were evaluated according to a rubric based on literature. We focus this study in Portuguese language as an additional contribution, since previous work are mainly focused in the English language, and we believe that VAs cannot be optimized to foreign languages. RESULTS Results show that Google Assistant has a better overall performance, and only this VA and Samsung Bixby achieved high scores on question understanding in the Portuguese language. Regarding the obtained answers, the study also shows the best Google Assistant overall performance. CONCLUSIONS Under the urgent context of COVID-19 vaccination, this work can help to understand how VAs must be improved to be more useful to the society and how careful people must be when considering VAs as a source of health information. Although VAs show to perform well regarding comprehension and user-friendness, this work proves that they must be better integrated to information sources to be useful as health information tools.
